Made an almost $500 purchase on Dec 2. Received an email from then stating an additional 3-5 delivery the next day. I immediately emailed back and asked with this create an issue with me getting the item for Xmas. Elena from Up north responded No, we are making sure all our customers get their packages in time for Xmas. Dec 15 rolls around still no shipping information I email inquiring. I get an immediate response saying let me check on this oh it's shipping today all in the same email. I paid for express shipping. I get the tracking email it states it won't arrive until January 2. I immediately email to ask what on earth is this! No response. I call get Austin on the phone who was like meh yea it's Xmas sorry about that!! Lied and said it was sent usps priority mail. Their website states all packages are usps priority or express or fed ex. No my package went usps ground advantage to save them money, KNOWING they messed up shipping it, took no effort to follow through on their word of getting it here in time as they should have. I specifically asked on December 3 will it be here in time if not I will cancel and order elsewhere. All assurances were given! I've since emailed twice asking why they were dishonest about the shipping method and when it actually shipped, zero response! First purchase here and it will be my last! It's simple their is nobody else on their level. They offer the best and highest rated products. As an avid snowmobiler I'm purchasing equipment almost yearly not only to try new products but to make sure I have the latest and up to date equipment. Since finding UpNorthSports I no longer shop around as they always have competitive pricing but more important to me is their customer service is beyond top notch. I personally work with Mishayla and she has not once let me down with getting me what I need and in a timely manner. I originally wrote: "If you need things in a hurry, don't order from here. They don't seem to have the capacity to handle busy times. Ordered three days ago and still haven't shipped my items. Expedited shipping doesn't help when they can't even process the order timely. I won't be shopping here again. And as any FYI, this place is also First Place Parts. Different name, same store." They are not truthful about when they ship your order out. Was provided a non existent tracking number . All customer service says is " oh that's a tough one " no idea when you will get your order . read more

Terrible customer service. They sold me a pair of gloves that were two different sizes at a snowmobile show. It's been 2 MONTHS and I'm still waiting for Up North Sports to replace the gloves with a single size. Customer service is no longer responding after they said they would ship a new pair. read more

Beware if you try to cancel Order started well - made sure all in stock so ordered over $1,000 in snow gear. Coat turned out to be unavail, so they emailed saying holding order and asked what we wanted to do. We said cancel all (2 orders)-we will find local as we wanted items to match - they said no problem for both orders; but would take a couple days as their folks in mtg out of the office. Then THEY SHIPPED AND CHARGED THE $1000+! Of course we didn't know this, and went and bought local the same... Because their Cust Svc said they cancelled; now it is weeks before I can return the items and get our $1000+ back - plus the aggravation of them not abiding by their saying they cancelled the orders (and yes, I have it recorded, all my calls are for work purposes) Beware if you order and have to cancel... I don't yet know how the return and refund part is going to go.... ... since I put this rating on their Trustpilot order rating review system... I still haven't seen it... they only seem to post 'testimonials' on their website... a wise practice since you see only the good. We have talked to them numerous times on the phone, they say all the right things, but the net effect is the same... our $1,000+ is in their hands on 2 cancelled orders until I can get back to town, get it repackaged per their guidelines, re-mailed and hopefully they will get it refunded fully and correctly! read more

I called Up North Sports a few days prior to Christmas because another company failed to deliver the snowmobile jacket that I had ordered. I knew I was in a jam and probably would not be able to give the jacket to my husband in time. I spoke to Mike and explained my situation. He told me that he would do everything possible to arrange a delivery to me on time. He checked with the factory in Idaho and found out that they only had 8 jackets left. He made arrangements to have it shipped directly to me with 2 days shipping! I received the jacket on Christmas Eve. The customer service that I received was above and beyond. My problem which was caused by another company become Up North Sports issue to solve and they solved it beautifully. Great customer service! read more
