We were visiting Munising and ended up with a flat tire, luckily within walking distance of this…read moreplace. My boyfriend walked up to the shop. Tom was eating lunch at the time, but he quit eating to come take a look at the tire. He jacked up the car, removed the tire, and quickly found the issue (a screw, compounded by our use of fix-a-flat that was preventing us from being able to add air). He repaired the tire for a reasonable price, and it's been holding air as we continue on our trek. We were impressed with the great customer service. Thanks, Tom!

I called Skip's and spoke to Heidi, and she said they were very busy but would do their best to get us on the road. After Charlie towed us to Skips (and as a former mechanic was able to lead us to the alternator), Skips worked it in, managed to find an alternator for a 2011 Honda and fixed it so that we got back on the road by 5:30. I was considering what kind of disaster we were headed for but Skips saved us a lot of trouble so we could continue on our trip. I would use them all the time if they were in my hometown.

Camping at the Tourist Campground. After our tour, we came out to go back to camp and discovered a flat on one of the rear duel wheels. Went up the road and found Skips. Pulled in, explained our issues, had a spare and needed it changed. They had other work, but two of their guys immediately came out, accessed the job and went right to work switching tires, tough job on a sprinter. 45 minutes later at a very fair price, we were on our way. The other 2 companies in town couldn't help me at all, today or tomorrow. M28 explained he was 3 hours away but could tow and fix first thing in the morning. He sent a text he was on his way. Sent a text that he would be starting work on it soon as he got pulled into the shop that morning. Then he called and said he had to order a lug nut but if I could bring him one he'd get me on the road sooner! Awesome service and communication! And the bill was reasonable!
