I have lived in the commons for a little over a year now and at the start of my stay here I had…read morenothing but problems out of my unit. First, my living room window broke and that took a few months to fix, next it was a gas leak in my unit that sent the fire department out here a few times and that resulted in a new stove, then in April I had a flood in my bed room and that went on for a few days until we figured out the problem. All was good for about a month then I had another problem with the sink in the bathroom and kitchen. Then I had a leak in the bathroom from the toilet that caused my subfloor to go bad and it started to raise and separated my floor. With everything going on in that unit literally every time I turned around I would have to say they did a amazing job trying to fix the problems I was having. However, when it came to the sub floor the maintenance supervisor sent someone who knew nothing about construction or maintenance over to look at it and he thought it could just be fixed without ripping up the vinyl flooring and that simply was not the case. So I was back and forth with the office arguing with them for over a week over the subfloor and I was told by this individual that if I didn't like what they decided I could just move. I was livid as messing with subfloor problems on a upstairs apartment could have been dangerous for myself and for my neighbors below me. At first I wanted to get an attorney involved as what this person was saying and doing (with no background in construction) could have been a deadly consequence because of his lack of knowledge in the field. It was the maintenance supervisors fault for sending someone who has no knowledge in construction or maintenance field to investigate the subfloor problem but instead of this person saying no I won't go and look at it because I don't know what I am doing he went anyway and that was too his fault! Moving forward, I respect our property district manager enough that I reach out to him instead of calling an attorney because he always was very quick to fix a problem with a very good solution. He came out and agreed that I needed replacement of a subfloor we brainstorm our options as many contractors would not touch an occupied unit to even replace the subfloor. Our solution was to move me to a new unit permanently so that unit could be fixed. Over all the stress of the old unit was getting to me and I'm very happy that we were able to get my problem resolved and so far I am loving my new unit! I hope we al learned something through this experience, not only myself but also the maintenance supervisor and the unnamed individual that knows nothing about construction or maintenance. Im glad nothing tragic happened but it could have with lack of experience from that individual! Overall it's not his fault he did not know but I hope he knows now if he does not know anything about what's going on in a unit tell the maintenance supervisor no I don't know what I'm doing so I'm not going out there to look at it you can. I am happy with the overall service that I have received by the new property manager and the old property manager who is now the district manager. I do think however that better communication could go on in the office.

There is a double gated pass through at each of the two areas. Poop bags and trash cans are available on site. There are two large fenced in areas, one for dogs 25 pounds or less (Oatie's area) and the other for dogs 25 pounds or more. Both have shaded areas and sunny areas with benches and play equipment. Since both areas are fenced in, dogs can run freely. Oatie loves chasing other dogs and being chased over grassy hilly areas. GODOWN dog park is a 5 minute drive from my daughter's townhouse complex so when visiting I take Oatie to the park often. This park is very popular so I have never visited the park with at least one other dog being present. Other dog owners here seem to be caring and dog lovers, as well.

Each side of the two parks have a double gated pass through, poop bag dispensers, and trash cans. Both sides have benches and plenty of trees to provide shade. Folks here are generally friendly. It's a pretty popular dog park. We've never been here when there weren't dogs for our dog to play with. (Unlike some of the other parks we've visited in the Columbus area.) There's a spigot near the entrances beside the portajohn. Great for a quick rinse off of a muddy dog or for filling up the communal water jugs that you find on both sides of the dog parks.
