I miss a delivery on Delivery on Friday and all I got was a sticker that said sorry missed you Nothing else on no information about my package I had to go to my sender for a tracking number. Went online to track my package and it send it was sent to CVS. I there and it wasn't there I checked at the UPS store in the area and they said it was in CVS. After all these years using UPS it really shows me how incredibly incompetent they have become. Let us not for get that I had 2 day rush which I paid for. After the fires in Lahaina the west side was wiped out with phone and internet coverage so we ordered a Starlink to be sent to our friend's address in Kihei so we could hopefully pick it up once the road opened again as UPS Fedex and USPS were not delivering. We desperately needed internet for remote workers in our area, plus everyone on the street needed to connect with families to let them know they were OK, and for people trying to find out how to file with FEMA for accommodation, sign onto unemployment as they had lost their jobs due to the fire, how to access medical care including cancer patients etc. So a lot was riding on the delivery of this Starlink for our local community. Trouble is UPS said the address was undeliverable, even though our friends have packages delivered all the time without issue. So I managed to drive up high even though we were getting short on gas by now and find cell coverage to call UPS and get through to their automated system, then an agent. After explaining what was happening the agent told me to go online! The frustration of dealing with a call centre was endless. We should download the app on our phone if internet was down. It was ridiculous and unhelpful. Calls were being dropped all the time, you couldn't download anything and you had to travel a long way for reception. Once the road opened up I drove the hour and a half through FEMA roadblocks and through Lahaina down to the Kahului airport office to find it closed even though it was supposed to be open. I had to yell through the fence to get help. A staff member grudgingly came over to state they were closed. I told them we desperately needed the Starlink and it was supposed to be in their office. They said they were busy but I insisted they look for it, and after standing in the sun for 20 minutes waiting I was told it was out on a truck, marked as undeliverable. This was Friday and I was told to come back Monday! There was no empathy to the fact that we desperately needed this link for our community during a disaster. On Monday I received a call that it was in the office and I could pick it up. Luckily the call got through as phone service is still patchy on the west side and it had gone to answer phone so I managed to receive it. Again I drove through FEMA roadblocks and bumper to bumper traffic through Lahaina past distressing areas of burned out buildings and cars. I also had to wait an hour stationary at one point as the President was visiting Lahaina and traffic was stopped during this exercise. When I arrived at the UPS it was closed again, so I had to yell through the chainlink fence to staff who initially ignored me until they knew I wasn't going to stop! I told them I had a package to pick up and was told to wait. A few other people arrived asking what to do as they had packages to pick up, including medication and food. They all ended up yelling through the fence too. Finally a staff member came through carrying my Starlink. She was abrupt and handed it over and walked away. By this time I didn't care about the lack of customer service or anything else I just wanted to get home and install it so our street could use it! We have now opened up our garage as an office and shared the sign on/password and have neighbours dropping by to use it for remote work, signing onto unemployment, contacting family, a realtor has even brought over her own desk and chair :) UPS was horrid to deal with but I'm glad I persevered as we now have satellite internet connection while west Maui has no internet service. read more

Need to ship something out quickly? UPS Worldwide Services my friend...........nuff said! As I make my weekly commute to Maui each week, once in a while I have to bring with me a lot of repair parts, and believe me.........lugging all those parts can be a daunting task. If you ask me - "Where are the UPS Stores on Maui?" I can easily tell you that there is one in the West Maui Center in Lahaina, just across the street from the First Hawaiian Bank (Lahaina Branch). The UPS store is in the same strip mall where you see the Subway Sandwich shop in Lahaina. If you're in the Kihei area, there is a UPS Store right across the street from the Azeka mall. The UPS Store in Kihei is located in the same strip mall where the Longs Drugs store is. And last of all, (for you folks that don't know this)............. there is an actual - United Parcel Service Service Center location near the airport area. How do you get there? Well, best way to put it..........if you head towards the Costco, as you drive along the main road you will pass the Costco, then the Costco Gas Station, as you drive along the road, look for a sign that says "Cargo", follow the cargo sign, and the sign will steer you towards the right toward the UPS Service Center. If you go left........it will steer you to the Maui Airport. The UPS airport location is only open from Monday to Friday. They are closed on the weekends - (Saturday & Sunday). The business hours for the airport location is basically - 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. They break off for lunch from (2:00 PM to 3:00 PM), then they reopen at 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. So as a friendly reminder...........if you have to ship something out, don't come here between the hours of 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, you will not get any help here during those hours. I cannot tell you how convenient this airport location is for me! I really like this location, as when I'm heading back to the airport to fly back to Oahu, I can make a quick pit stop to drop off my broken parts, so I don't have to lug it back with me to Oahu. I can just ship out my broken parts here, and send it directly back to the mainland..........easy peasy for me! Parking - There are a few parking stalls in front of the UPS building, but if the lot is full, there is some parking available just across from the UPS parking stalls. Today I had to stop in pick up a package that I had them hold for me. Customer service was great. I've driven by it many times but never noticed it so I had to look online for directions..lol. When you are on Haleakala Hwy and driving by Costco, right after the underpass there's a sign that says Air Cargo (Hawaiian/Aloha Cargo) and you just turn left at that sign and the UPS Customer Center is the first building on the on the right. You can't miss it. Their hours are Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. They are closed on Saturday and Sundays and on holidays. read more

I have always had very professional and efficient service when taking packages here for shipping. Four stars only because the small office is a tight squeeze if others are ahead of you with large boxes. This is the main office I believe and closest to the airport so figure they might be a little quicker at getting that package on a plane. While the sign reads "Customer Center" definitely be forewarned that this location is cut and dry. This UPS location is here to process what you drop off already packed and ready to go. There are no amenities to help with your shipping needs (i.e. stations to print packing slips, tape, pens etc.). For those who have mobility accommodations there is a ramp albeit it is steep and there is no automatic door opener. The space inside is very small and limited. At maximum you can probably only fit three to five customers. This location has about six parking stalls and two that are reserved parking. They close each day from 1-2pm HST and are not open on weekends. Usually you have to take the initiative and ask for a receipt if you need one (but this time around the person helping me was pleasant asked me if I needed on before I could say anything and provided me with one) they won't just give it to you. They don't do cash or check here. Come prepared with a credit or debit card if you need to make payment. read more

The girl at the UPS counter did not like my older mask, she decided it was not thick enough, so she decided not to give me my packages. Meanwhile not one employee their at UPS had a mask on. Of course I pointed that out, she didn't care. Luckily the NICE lady behind me gave me one of her masks and said "try this." I finally got my packages. Thank you to the nice lady. I don't care that the employees had no masks on, maybe they were all vaccinated. It was just a rude and horrible experience. I gave a one star rating just for that one time experience. I give a 5 star rating to Maui UPS over all because every employee that delivers packages to our shop is absolutely charming and full of aloha. read more

First of all, they tried to make the delivery on the wrong day (when we were not home). Then they told us to pick up the package in Kihei. We went to Kihei and they told us Kahului. Kahului told us Kihei. Then we finally found out it had been in Kahului the whole time but at the Customer Service Center, not the UPS store. Their systems are horrible and the workers were nice, but clueless. read more

I was expecting a parcel during the time when it was storming but was pleasantly surprised when I found my parcel wrapped in a plastic bag safe and sound in my garage! Had to drop off a package and luckily I already had the return label printed as they have signs all over their office, (front door and inside) stating that they don't have printers to help with this. The drop off is super convenient since I work near this location and they're always super friendly when I come in. When I tried finding them the first time I was super confused bc I thought I was going into the airport but it's towards air cargo if you get lost. The first time I was picking up a package and the woman stayed to let me in for pickup. I don't remember her name but she has a son with my name too KAO yee! Anyway, thank you! Had a package sent one day air on December 11th, today is December 16th, still have not received the package. This company will give you no customer service. Went to this location to get the package December 14th, didn't arrive yet, they had some problem. Said they would have it delivered December 15th. Was not delivered this day. Called on December 16th, after 10 minutes on hold, the representative said they cannot hold the package at this location until tomorrow. Asked to talk with a supervisor, after being put back on hold for ten minutes just hung up. This was just the worst customer service I've ever had. read more

Package arrived on Sunday. 2 day delivery paid and they claim no apartment number although all their deliveries here go to the common room so no need for apartment number anyway. They will use any excuse possible not to deliver. Ridiculous. Somehow FedEx was able to deliver on time even without an apartment number. Don't waste your time or money with these guys! read more

The UPS Hub in Kahului is the worst. I had a "scheduled" pickup, but the UPS delivery person never showed up on the "next business" day as per sender's instructions. So, I drove all the way from Wailuku to Kihei to drop off package but was told I needed the prepaid "label" and therefore they could not take my package. They couldn't print out the prepaid shipping label for me because UPS delivery person had to bring it to my house. I call the 1-800 number and was told someone would call me before 8 pm to "schedule" the drop off of the prepaid label. I left the Kihei UPS store and about 5 minutes into my drive home, I get a call that the UPS delivery person was at my house and left the label on my door and since I was not home could not pick up package. I expected a call for the "scheduled" delivery of the prepaid shipping label. Never got a "scheduled" time, he just left the label and because I was not there did not take my package. Called the UPS Hub and the employee (Mau)sp? was so rude and was not helpful. Spoke to a supervisor at the 1-800 number and she said she would have someone pick up my package. I waited the next day and nothing. No one was helpful. The rudest employee was Mau (sp?) at UPS Hub in Kahului. Still waiting to have my package picked up. Been waiting since Monday, it's now Friday. Everyone at UPS was passing the buck. No one wanted to do their job (obvious laziness, but hey it's Maui). The instructions of the sender of the prepaid shipment was that there was to be a "scheduled" delivery and pickup. Never happened. Still waiting. Amazon sent package via USPS. Wish Amazon would have paid to have the return package via USPS instead of UPS. So disappointed with the UPS in Maui. Hope I never have to use them again. read more
