I stopped into Urban Corner while staying nearby for business. I saw they have some plant based options so I decided to give them a try. They actually have a plant based menu with about 4 or five options. I ordered the not a meatball sub and a salad. The ordering process was kind of odd as I wanted my order to go but wasn't really sure where to do that. Fortunately the employees motioned me towards the spot to order to go items. The order took about 15 minutes to come out. The salad was fresh with great veggies and a spicy broth. I don't recall the name of this particular salad but it was a cross between fruits and veggies in a spicy broth. Interesting and flavorful concept. I enjoyed it. The not meat ball sandwich was tasty as well. On a decent bread with tasty plant based meatballs. I would have liked more sauce on it but it was pretty good. I enjoyed the food, the service was good as the employees made the effort with my limited Spanish to get me what I wanted. However for what I got the prices are a little steep. I would have expected a bit larger portions for what I paid, but now I know at least. The inside of Urban Corner looked nice, open and clean. I'd give them another try in the future however there are so many other interesting shops and restaurants in the Mexico City airport to visit as well. read more

Well stuck eating airport food again. Ordered 2 panini sandwiches.. I don't know why they call it panini when all they do is heat it up. Bread just broke into dust when you take a bite. Ordered procuitto and chicken pesto. I guess I didn't read the menu well enough.. Because it had lots of fruit. Chicken pesto wasn't bad but very basic and bland... Ordered 2 bottle waters and one sprite and bill was over 700 pesos. Guess I should have walked over to subway. read more

Great service ! Food was yum ! Started with a delicious Sangria , Had their ribeye steak tacos, soft juicy meat, then we had dessert. Deep fried banana balls filled with Philadelphia cream cheese and a delicious jellY! Above all, the Service! Luis Tenis is such a great server! Made suggestions, polite, attentive and friendly. I paid US$37 for a simple meat-less salad, a couple of teas and a slice of cake. You expect airport food to be expensive, but the price was abusive. The food was so-so and the service ok. read more

My wife and I had a small lunch at the Urban Corner in Mexico City airport on 4 Jan 2024. We had an ensalada, panini, and three drinks: one 16-oz hot chocolate and two small tomato juice glasses. When it was time to pay, the waitress brought a card-charging machine and requested us to pay with a card without showing us the bill. Unfortunately, I had no eye glasses on me and just gave her my credit card, which was charged MXN 963.60 or US$57.50. As soon as we saw the unexpectedly-huge receipt, we asked her to bring us the original bill. After some arguing with her co-workers, she produced a bill for MXN 964, including MXN 876 for the food and MXN 87.60 for the 10% tip. That bill had two tomato juices priced at MXN 290 (!!) and the hot chocolate priced at MXN 91. According to the menu, orange and other juices were priced at MXN 49, so obviously, charging us MXT 290 = US$20 for two small tomato juices was crazy. Unfortunately, we had to go boarding to our flight and did not have time to call the manager and discuss the situation. This was a nice dinner after an unsuccessful trip from Mexico City to Cabo. The service was attentive and phenomenal; almost as if the staff takes pride in pleasing their customers. I ordered an array of items from the menu, none of which were spectacular. I guess I expected better quality given that I ordered Mexican dishes while in Mexico. After receiving excellent service with mediocre food, our waiter attempted to add in his gratuity to our bill explaining that we owed him 20-25% of our bills in USA currency. We definitely did not mind tipping but the total given to us was not properly reflected in what we ordered, which left us confused. Finally, another staffer came over and had to explain to the young waiter that he can not demand tip, and that he is suppose to give us the actual total for our bill, and the amount of gratuity would be at the customer's discretion. I thought this was common knowledge in the restaurant business, unless otherwise specified in the restaurant's policy or receipt. So did he actually try to hustle the Americans? The decor and lay out of the restaurant is trendy with an industrial elegance. So If you want a "nice place" to dine while waiting at the airport...sure, go for the experience, but if you're trying to chow down, honestly skip this one, or sit by the bar and enjoy a cold brew during your layover. read more

This place is a good spot where to wait for your departing flight at Mexico City Airport. The service sucks, though. I ordered a latte, a panini and a glass of water. The delicious latte came in a timely manner. It took them more than 30 minutes to bring my water (water, seriously?) and had to remind them about my panini, which was beyond disappointing; I order a Milanesa Panini which is supposed to be a French baguette filled with chicken fried steak. Well, it was filled with stripes of some tasteless rubber-like unidentifiable material, yuck! At least the fries were good. If you are not starving, have a lot if time to kill and lots of patience go ahead but I suggest you order a latte or a fruit juice or smoothie and a chocolate croissant, they seem to do well with those. read more

I was hungry at the airport and bought a Arrachera sandwich that look great on the menu. It was horrible the bread was soggy and the meat was nasty. Never again. Also the smoothie was fake. Not real fruit. The people on the front were really rude!! NEVER AGAIN. Better get the Subway. No one in the kitchen wore mask when preparing food. read more

Only one store because the food was not bad. Service is horrible. So much confusion and gossiping at the registers making everyone stand around. Messed up the order several times. For some reason I went back to pick up a salad before a board my plane only to realize they gave me a spoon to eat with my salad, and when I asked why not a fork, the worker told me she hast to go find them. read more

The bread on my sandwich was so stale that chunks of it were breaking off as I took bites. Our waffle fries were barely warm when served. My son's turkey sandwich was clearly a ham sandwich despite the waiter's insistence that, yes, it really was turkey.
