Whether…read moreyou’ve been in church your whole life, walked away for a season, or aren’t sure what you believe yet, Forum exists to help intentionally connect people to Jesus and grow into who God is forming them to be. What makes Forum unique is our intentional focus on becoming, not pretending. We believe following Jesus is a lifelong process, and we create space for people to come as they are while being lovingly invited toward growth and transformation. Our gatherings are thoughtful, biblically grounded, and practical, with teaching that speaks clearly to everyday life. You’ll hear truth taught with humility, grace, and an awareness of the world we’re actually living in. Community is central at Forum. We prioritize meaningful relationships across generations, not just attendance. From young adults to families to longtime believers, we work hard to create environments where people are known, supported, and challenged to live out their faith beyond Sunday mornings. At Forum, you won’t find pressure to have it all figured out. You’ll find a church that values honest questions, intentional discipleship, and a deep commitment to becoming more like Jesus—together.

My wife and I recently moved to Columbia and visited it, looking for a church home. The church building is 101 years old (as of 2015), and is what you would think of when you bring to mind a traditional, Catholic church structure. Physically, it is exceptionally well maintained both outside and inside. The stained glass and interior decoration is magnificent. Unfortunately, there is evidence of "renovation", post Vatican II and the main altar is missing. The freestanding altar is nicely carved, but sadly out of place in such an ornate setting. Church appears to seat about 250-300. Was about 80% full at the 11AM service. There are two English and one Spanish Mass on Sundays. The pews deserve a special note. These are old, hard, wooden pews that do not allow for slouching. I believe that spending an hour in these devices reduces one's stay in purgatory by at least 25 years. Mass started promptly and the procession was well done, with dignity. The readers and all other participants struggled with a terrible sound system, but all did their part with a rehearsed air. The pastor gave an 11 minute homily that was sensible and easy to follow. His general style was one of reverence, with a few exceptions, noted below. Pros: 1. Beautiful church 2. Ample parking on a private lot (rare in the downtown!) 3. Decent homily 4. No chance of dozing in those pews 5. Clearly marked restroom 6. Traditional baptismal font in the narthex 7. Reasonably reverent Mass Cons: 1. No incense 2. LOTS of happy handshaking and "greet your neighbor" 3. Priest wandering around before the homily to greet and point out visitors 4. No pipe organ and an out of tune piano
