I do not know why, to this day, though I suspect that it was not an easy enough job for gardeners who are on a tight schedule, as my dad is an old man, who is quite fussy about what he wants done! Perhaps they need to inform clients if that is the case, rather than leave them hanging on and waiting for them to turn up - for weeks, with no communication at all.
