Interestingly, this is the only one of those three stores to stock kidswear, albeit it is a small selection. The overall feel of the store was quite nice, it was a cool store and the decor felt nice, modern and a little cool - a decent place to shop following the new, cool layout which seems to be slowly being implemented across the FatFace network. Another one of those stores however which had a focus on women's clothing, rather than appealing to the male market which is a shame, so I would probably say you're best sticking to Sheffield centre if you're purchasing clothing for a guy. The store felt nice, fresh and modern and could really have been improved by stocking a better selection of men's clothing. 3*

One of two Primark locations in Sheffield, this branch is located in the large Meadowhall Shopping…read moreCentre, the largest shopping centre in Yorkshire and the eleventh largest in the UK (It still feels bigger?) This store is a decent size, it isn't up there with the biggest Primark locations in Birmingham and Manchester, being over just two floors, but it is pretty decent for the location as extra amenities such as a branded coffee shop and other "interesting" factors aren't needed as they basically have it all nearby within the centre anyway. For a Primark store, the store was pretty spacious, making it more pleasant to get around and shop compared to other locations. The store was pretty bright and modern, and although it differed to the colour scheme and layout to the stores in the North East, Birmingham and other stores around the country, it still felt pretty modern and of course, with any Primark store, the prices are pretty decent and affordable too. Not a bad branch of the Irish discount clothing chain, in a good location. 3*

As mentioned before, this store is much bigger then the town centre counterpart. Its well lit and…read morespread out over two floors. There is a lot more choice then in the city centre and has more sizes. There are loads of clothes for ladies to pick and choose from, handbags and accessories to underwear. The quality is average sometimes a bit poor on some items but its to be expected. Upstairs there is a small home wear section, mainly bedding and cushions. There is a good shoe selection, including leather shoes. The men's wear is ok but not as good as the ranges available for women. Also the children's wear is great for clothes for boys and girls. The prices are cheap and the clothes are on trends and keeps up with the likes of topshop. The staffs are a mixed bunch with some being really friendly to others that don't even speak to you at the tills, but really you only go in there for the cheap clothes not the customer services. The store is kept tidy, the rails do get a bit messy on busy days but there are plenty of staff trying to tidy them up. It is also horrible to go in on a Saturday or Sunday at peak times as its heaving and you can't get round properly. Also there are queues but these do go down fairly quickly.

It caters for both women and men. It is a top end high street shop which means its pricier then the likes of topshop. The clothes are on trend and not overly fussy like in some shops, they also do various colour ranges for those who want a change off black. The clothes are of a good quality. They also do some bags and purses which are expensive then other shops but do look nice. The shop is set reasonable well and has a boutique feel about the décor as well. The fitting rooms are a nice size as its worth trying on before buying as they only do exchanges on unwanted items. The sizes go from 0- 4 in women's section 0 being x-small and 4 a large. The men's go a bit higher then 4 but it's the same principle. The staffs are warm and friendly and are happy to look for sizes not on the rails and some are quite chatty. You do get a good customer service from this store. This is a great store to look for something a bit more special or a staple that won't look dated in a couple of weeks.

TK Maxx in Barnsley is well located in the Alhambra centre, although you do have to pay for parking. It is quite a small branch compared to some of their other stores, and it is of the older style of decor so looks a bit more dated and rather like the jomble sale that so many people compare it to. There aren't many cash desks and each has an individual queue rather than the communal queues you get in their newer stores - so if someone in front of you needs a price, you're stuck! Plenty of bargains to be had though, and always worth a visit.

O'neil, drunken monkey,diesel clothing for men is always highly stocked. Make great birthday or christmas presents for the other half or my brother. instead of the rrp of £25 i pay just £12.50 and get two instead! Also great for beauty products. Often find elizabeth arden, clarins, Roc items. Great designer sunglasses such as roberto cavalli, D&G,valentino. I do feel they could have put each brand together, rather than having two sections even for the same type of clothing (shirts, jackets) which was a little strange, and making sure the branding was clear so you can see from a distance without having to look around a store for your favourite brand would be a good improvement. The staff did seem OK, far from the best or the worst I've had in a Tessuti store, but this was surprisingly good compared to other stores within the shopping centre. Marks & Spencer in Sheffield is one of the larger shops in the city centre of the South Yorkshire…read morecity, it is located on Fargate over multiple floors and is one of two major locations the brand has within a small radius in Sheffield, the other of course being one of the flagship stores at Meadowhall. This store just lacks compared to its' nearby store of the same brand, it feels less modern and in some ways, the stock feels depleted, especially in the Food Hall, the whole range lacked with so many food items out of stock. The staff did seem friendly enough, and the Food Hall did have a nicer feel to it, compared to the rest of the store, with the only major flaw being the "out of stock" signs everywhere. A decent, large store in the department store chain nonetheless, and not terrible by any means, but certainly leaves many factors for improvement. It is, however, a nice brand to have in the city centre of Sheffield, which already lacks towards Meadowhall and I feel the city would be a lot worse off without this store. 3*

This town centre M&S seems to have a better food stocking policy than its neighbouring Meadowhall…read morestore and has all the key items from all the clothing collections. The staff are always helpful and chatty but two things make it only three stars for me. One is that the store is always blisteringly and uncomfortably warm, especially on the upper floors. And secondly, there's the toilets. As one of very few public toilets left in town, they are always left in a right state and stink to high heaven.

The store is well known in Sheffield and further afield, and its reputation speaks for itself.It's won quite a few high profile awards, and has been in Sheffield since 2000. There is also an online store that I have reviewed separately, but it quite useful as new brands get added right away, allowing me to check it before I go into town to visit the store. A cut above the rest really, and I end up going in far too often and spending too much!
