If you join their membership, then it's more reasonable if you get their food often. For the Chicken Club sandwich, the bread is too thick. The Beef and Mushroom Braise is flavorful but too salty. Was going to order a Mixed Beet or the Superfood salad too, but they charge almost $10 for adding chicken. That's expensive just for adding a side of chicken breast. We went to Urban Plates for dinner this past weekend to grab dinner with friends and had a really nice experience! The food here is clean and healthy, but also very delicious. The service was relatively fast - you could order via QR code on the table and someone would bring the food to you. For my meal I tried the blackened salmon with a side of the cauliflower and Moroccan chicken braise. I love that everything on my plate was well made and seasoned even though simple. Urban Plates was such an interesting spot we recently stopped by because it really combines the fast food and dine in restaurant experience in such a unique way. Parking is pretty easy to find with a garage nearby and the setting of the inside is pretty nice too. Ordering feels like a fast food place where you go through a digital menu on a touch screen but the quality of food is so much higher than that. We ordered a grilled steak sandwich with fries and proceeded to sit down at our table. Like a regular restaurant they bring the food out to you and you can even see the chefs cooking at their station which is interesting to watch while you wait. The grilled steak sandwich was pretty good, the steak cooked perfectly and had nice juice to it with warm bread around it. The fries were also pretty good. The most impressive thing was that from order to get food was less than 10 minutes even with two other people dining with us. Urban Plates really does a great job of fast food convenience but with genuine, good food. It's the ultimate spot to grab a quick bite at but not feel bad about the 1000 calories you ate after. read more

We got grilled and chimichurri this time, the steak is made really similarly and the chimichurri flavor is in a separate container you can dip or pour over the steak. I got the sides mac n cheese, which was eh and kinda cold, and also got the quinoa which was good. My partner got rainbow carrots and potatoes, and they're decently flavored and cooked thoroughly. We otherwise got a burger and a crispy chicken sandwich for later meals, chicken sandwich could've had more pickles but it was cooked well! The menu has a decent variety of items overall and I definitely want to come back to try more. We've also tried hummingbird cake here and it's pretty good, not my favorite cake but a fun dessert. We got takeout this time, but we've dined in before and service is friendly and efficient. With takeout our food was made really quickly and still plenty warm when we got home. There's a large covered parking right next to the restaurant, and pickup is right at the front door. There's indoor and outdoor seating in the sense that the outdoor seating has a roof and walls with doors to enter the area without it being completely sealed, it's nice to sit and enjoy the fresh air even when it's raining! You can order from the touchscreen or by scanning the QR code on the table, which is nice since you can see pictures of the dishes before ordering. Braised Beef & Mushrooms: You can choose between mashed potatoes or rice. The red wine sauce went really well with the slightly spicy rice. Chicken Tender Plate: You can pick two sides and two sauces. I liked that you can also add soup for an extra charge, so the plate is a great option if you want to try a bit of everything. This location is much larger than the Santana Row location. They have a large enclosed patio seating area and quite a bit of seating inside. It was freezing inside but with an open kitchen and a lot of people, I can see why they keep it extra cool inside. The great thing about urban plates is their menu options. You get to customize everything to your liking. I chose the seared ahi tuna with a side Caesar salad and a cup of tortilla chicken soup. My husband got the tzatziki grilled chicken with roasted carrots and beats, a side house salad and a bowl of tomato soup. We also got a side of grilled shrimp. We found a table and got our iced teas at the self serve drink spot. Our food was delivered quickly. Everything was hot and fresh. The salads were refreshing. We both loved our soups. Our entrees were cooked perfectly. Their hummus is one of my favorite sides. The shrimp skewer was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfect. Love Urban Plates but the quality has gone done. My husband and I ordered via the tablet as we weren't sure what we wanted. A worker did come and say he could take our order, which was nice he offered. I ordered the two piece tender plate with a side Caesar and Mac & cheese while my husband got the truffle steak with a side of truffle fries and the mushrooms. We also got a dragon fruit refresher which was super yummy. Overall, the food was delicious but some items were cold while others were hot. Example, Mac and cheese was cold while the tender was hot since I'm assuming they just fried the tender. My husband steak was also cold and very tough. Very unevenly cooked as the middle was medium rare while the sides were overcooked and tough. Can't expect much for $24 for that plate but wasn't as good as I previously remember unfortunately. Went here for the first time with a group of friends. Since we were a large group, we got seated in the patio area. It was very spacious, and there were heaters around us, so it was quite cozy! I ordered the chimichurri steak and got macaroni and cheese and broccoli for my two sides. The chimichurri was so good, and the steak pieces were around medium well to medium rare, but with great flavor. The mac and cheese was just alright, nothing too impressive, and the the broccoli was cooked just right with some really good seasoning. I really like their Ahi tuna as well as their hummingbird cake, which is similar to a carrot cake but just different fruit flavors. There's plenty of parking with a huge lot next door, another across the street, and street parking as well. If you order a soda, it's self-serve. They also have wine and beer on tap with about six handles to choose from. I ordered the Grass-Fed Chimichurri Steak (medium rare) with roasted baby potatoes, balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts, and a slice of toasted bread. Everything tasted amazing--perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. My wife had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries, and she said it was really good. There's plenty of seating--though the indoor area is smaller than the outdoor section. We sat outside, and while it was a bit breezy, it wasn't too cold.
