I discovered this restaurant about 6 months ago and have since gone back at least once a month! Weekday lunch will generally ensure you a quiet atmosphere. The lunch "special platters" are amazing (forgot to take pics). The platters are both visually stunning as well as delicious. You get a lot of food but it is easy on the wallet. Going there again soon - can't wait! One small thing: The last time I was there, it was blazing hot outside (as always lol). While we were eating, a delivery truck pulled up and they propped open the front door while they brought in case after case of supplies. I finally asked the waiter if they could close the doors. I appreciate the authentic style serving plates & cups instead of the typical American large plates. Our server was very polite and attentive and the timing of the appetizers and main dishes was perfect. I am always skeptical about the biryani I order from an Indian restaurant since there are too many types of biryani in India. So, we would not know what we get until we try them. This place's biryani is close to the south indian Hyderabadi biryani that I crave the most. I ordered it in medium spicy. It was perfect! Raita was sweet and fresh. The lunch special price includes a main dish, rice (and very good long grain basmati, very lightly seasoned) lentils, a nice chickpea salad, a samosa, chaat (in this case, sweet potato fries) naan and dessert (I think it was a "rice pudding" from the menu descriptions of desserts, but it was not a set pudding, more a milky sweet liquid (Rice cooked with milk, saffron, and almonds.) I got chicken vindaloo, and the spices were excellent, plenty of chicken, etc. I like spicy, and it did the trick! Whew! My pal got chicken tikka masala, and he loved it. I had a taste of the sauce and it was really done beautifully. YUM! I mean, they do have a couple of tables but as of now, it's not going to be the first place to pop on your mind when you think about dining out, and maybe the tiny mall isn't really designed for it either. The main movement on all fronts there is take out and delivery, and for that, it works perfectly. We ordered the tandoori chicken momos, tandoori chicken wings, butter chicken, aloo gobi, and dal tadka along with a few different naan breads (cheese, cheese garlic, onion, and regular). We were very happy with our meal overall, great flavors and large portions. The only reason this review is 3 star and not 5 is that our tandoori chicken wings were a little under cooked, first wing had some pink, next wing had a lot more. It wasn't a huge issue as we were able to run them through the air fryer but was disappointed with that. I did not get a picture as we put them straight into the air fryer. Otherwise, every other dish was spot on, great flavor and spice. I will try again however, we will not do the wings in the future. Located in a tight strip mall, we chose this restaurant for convenience. Upon entering, the lone server was on the phone with a customer so we took seats, expected a short wait. Turns out our server was taking a sizable order which sounded like a catering order and it took a good bit of time before he finished and came to us. I'm talking 20-25 minutes, which, if I had to get back to work, would be unacceptable. We were about to leave but he was sincerely apologetic so we gave him a chance. We ordered 2 types of Naan (Garlic and Onion) for appetizers, Chicken Korma, Tandoori Chicken, and Goat Biryani. Our order took time to prepare and in the end I was glad we waited. The food was hot and fresh, and most importantly, it tasted good. Authentic, the spices were rich and aromatic and the portions plentiful. We left taking leftovers and having no room for the dessert I planned on ordering. The small dining room was full when we left and they could have used another server to help, at least during the lunch rush. We found out they opened the dining room the previous week and were adjusting to taking dine-in customers as well as to-go and catering orders. The food was very good, and that is why you go to a restaurant. It was served in the fashion of thali, but on a rectangular disposable plate. I had chana masala with a medium spice and it was served with dal makhani, rice, samosa and garlic naan...all really flavorful. Two other inclusions were a little odd: the salad was sliced cucumber and tomatoes with baby spinach, but was served with no dressing. The "chaat" was actually sweet potato fries! While the food was great, the service was not. I sort of felt like maybe I was their first customer. Not of the day. Like...ever. No greeting when I walked into the completely empty restaurant at 1 in the afternoon. I had to ask if I could sit anywhere, and got a nod from the guy at the counter. I then had to ask for a menu, and when he handed it to me he IMMEDIATELY asked what I wanted. I literally had not even opened the menu yet. He offered me a plastic bottle of water, but I refused because I despise plastic waste and Dade County has great tap water. When I did order, the waiter seemed confused that I asked for the lunch special, and I had to show him where it was on the menu (very prominently on the back). It was almost comical. The waiter was cute as a button, but might need some training! The other odd thing was that when I came in there was nice Indian music playing, but after a few minutes the music changed to some pretty foul-mouthed R&B pop stuff, full of someone repeatedly using the "f word."
