Very fast service! Nice selection of baked goods and indoor/outdoor seating, robust menu, and beautiful presentation. I picked his location as it was close to the Highway and had some good reviews on trip advisor.

One of the best places to eat in Manukau and Auckland ! That is for quasi gourmet cafe style food. A Mexican breakfast that is good completes the picture. Coffee is very good. Friendly staff and a busy vibe are part of the appeal. Many people are there having working breakfasts and lunches.

FOOD: This was our first stop after arriving in Auckland. We yelped a brunch place nearby and THANK GOODNESS this came up. What a lovely surprise. Decor is beautiful, service - impeccable, and food --- heavenly! Brunch is our thing and coming from LA, we have had a LOT of brunch meals. We were saying to each other how this place would make a killing in Los Angeles. We ordered a banana/chocolate chip scone, corned beef hash, jumbo oats, and a large flat white coffee (which is basically coffee with milk). The scone was warm and not too sweet. Corned beef hash was so tasty! Ingredients tasted fresh and their house made hollandaise just made the dish over the top delicious. Their jumbo oats... Oh. My. Goodness. I know, I know, who raves about oatmeal? Well, I do! This was so damn good! The oats tasted like they were just cooked and the muscovado sugar and cream made the whole dish come together perfectly. It wasn't too sweet nor was it too creamy. The coffee was also good - so good we ordered another one to go. If we lived here, we would probably come here every weekend. PARKING: Plenty of spaces and free. SERVICE: Efficient and very friendly service. You grab a menu, have a seat, and get back in line to order your food when you're ready.

With the decor being so clean, modern and classy - I've had numerous recommendations for this cafe for my lunchtime escapades in Manukau. While it was busy, the owner made the effort to come by our table to make sure the food was ok. The Thai prawn noodle fritters were delish! Something different outside of your cafe food norm. As the owner explained, she gives the chefs room to experiment and this goes to show what trust can do for creativity. The combination of the fragrant herbs and mango slaw was spectacular. The mushroom risotto was a treat. The consistency wasn't too soft, something I'm always wary of because it can wipe out all texture in the dish. The olive oil gave it a smooth viscosity, so pace yourself while eating this or it'll get rich too quickly. And of course, a getaway wouldn't be complete without something to takeaway. I was spoilt for choice at the cabinet options but "old fashioned cheesecake (not cheesecake)" caught my eye. Indeed, it was more of a sponge inside. Food was a little pricey for the region but the quality of food and service makes it worth it. I wouldn't think twice about going back.

Excellent little place with a great vibe - one of the only good places in the Manukau CBD to have breakfast or lunch. Excellent friendly service. Does get very busy at lunch time though, so arrive early for a good seat :D

Used yelp to find this busy cafe. Ordered and did manage to find a table. Mr had the Thai noodle fritters with prawns and a mango avocado salad. Very tasty and unusual. Mrs had the veggie cake from the cabinet. It was spud and squash heavy with a green salad. Could have been heated more evenly. Also from the cabinet was a pottle of berry baked yoghurt. Just had to try it and it was delicious. The coffee was excellent.

It even has two outdoor areas which are perfect for a beer in the sun, or, in winter, they have the heaters up as well for a nice warm chocolate.

The first time I went to the community centre was for a youth talent show. The room was perfect as it accommodated the number of attendees. The kitchen was always clean and located inside the hall we where using. This made it easier at snack time as it was just a matter of taking items from the kitchen to the table we had set up buffet style outside the kitchen. The rooms are also built in a way that makes it flexible to arrange the room the way that suits you and your event. Although there is parking on site, it is limited. The payments have generally been smooth and communication professional. It always seems quite busy, whatever the season, with various groups occupying the many rooms available, so if you want to set up a meditation or yoga course you might want to double check that karate or zumba are not also taking place that same night right next door! They also hold a farmers market at the centre on Sunday mornings that is worth supporting.

There's a few different play areas for the kids depending on how old they are, so there's a little something for all of them. Car rides to rock climbing walls, slides and nets are just some of the playground features that literally keep them entertained for hours. The massive slide is the most popular attraction, especially for the older ones (I know I've gone down that slide many times!). I'd avoid taking younger children there when its busy- some kids can be a little too rowdy at times. Chipmunks runs a pretty solid (yet a little expensive) cafe to buy food, like nuggets and fries, sandwiches, burgers, you name it. They do kids meals aswell so if you haven't had time to pack lunch from home, it's a handy alternative without leaving the kids unsupervised. I've also been quite a few birthday parties here held in the function rooms. It's an awesome birthday venue and kids will love being in one of the different themed rooms! Definitely worth a look if you're after a venue (side note: they supply snacks for the adults at the parties too!)

But the worst was when I opened the door to my room and was almost knocked over with horrible sewer smell coming from the bathroom. The room was pitch black as the blackout drapes were drawn and there was discarded keycard folder from the prior guest on the floor. Obviously little attention was given to the room by housekeeping. The one restaurant/bar in the lobby smelled like a fish fry and after waiting patiently for a glass of wine at the bar I gave up. No need to pay a premium for being ignored. The hotel manager was absolutely useless and unsympathetic when I complained. She has a terrible attitude. It looks like it was once a nice hotel. It's a shame. I could not get an Uber to come directly to the hotel. They instructed me to go to some weird location that was not the hotel or the standard pickup area at the international terminal. I guess they try to avoid some sort of airport fee. Hotel management should address that but they are completely useless. Never again!

The segregated areas, namely the stadium, the Bigtop (Boiler Room) and top football fields reflected the large space of the venue. The other users of Mount Smart Stadium are the NRL team, the Warriors. If supporting a team were a roller coaster ride, this would be it. The preferred venue for the team since its inception, Mount Smart has immense historical value with the Warriors. The team have just invested heavily in establishing a new base and gym at the Stadium underneath the newest stand. This stand, akin to the new stand at Eden Park, provides an improved viewing experience than the older stands, with an improved, closer perspective of the action on the field. The famous tunnel linking the No.1 and No.2 fields is symbolic of the team's first entrance onto the ground in 1995 and is occassionally used nowadays. The crowd at a Warriors game is an experience like no other, with the extremely vocal and passionate supporters. Access to the ground is forever improving, with vast onsite parking as well as loads of nearby parking in the surrounding industrial area, as well as the recently renovated Penrose train station. Hell Pizza are regular caterers onsite, with longtime team supporters Lion Red providing the beer. Head along and if you are lucky you will get to experience the (in)famous drummers.
