He answered right away and told me that he would be at my apartment in 25 minutes. He arrived exactly within 25 minutes and was friendly and kind. Within minutes, he was able to drill open and replace my lock. First off I think it's important to mention that Al is a truly hardworking and honest individual. In a world where reviews and word of mouth make or break your business, Al is doing it the right way. I needed a cylinder changed in a lock and looked to Yelp and HomeAdvisor for one nearby. Urgent Locksmith appeared in the top 5 listings near me. I figured I'd just pick one and hope I get someone who knows what they're doing and is fair. I definitely picked the right locksmith. I called Urgent Locksmith... Al answers all his calls and if busy, kindly let's you know that he will return your call as soon as he can. When he called back, I explained what I needed and Al gave me his quote. The price seemed fair and I needed this cylinder replaced so I didn't bother calling anyone else. Al was able to come down within 1-1.5 hrs. so that was perfect. As he was doing his thing, we were chatting and I was asking him about other locks and getting his opinion and suggestions on deadbolts. He was quite knowledgeable and a pleasant guy to chat with in general. A number of times as he worked we'd take a walk out to his car and he'd show me various locks and answer questions I had about them. Never any pressure. In fact, he tried to talk me out of getting something I didn't even need. It was actually ok to ask questions and get his suggestions! Anyway, once he completed the installation, I paid him and we continued chatting for another 30 mins. He was genuinely a decent human being. Fast forward about 1.5/2 weeks later; I purchase a deadbolt and needed to have it installed. I didn't hesitate to call Al back. He was pretty busy that day but made time later in the evening to come by and install my lock. Once again, he did a great job and was a pleasure to deal with.
