typical dozen donuts run about $20/dozen. now if you get a jelly filled or custard filled donut you will have to pay a premium (premium donuts) i got a mix dozen that included 4 filled donuts and the bill came out to be $27. i will be going back to Miss Donuts on Robertson Blvd as they don't charge a premium for the filled donuts. although they only take cash i would still pay $20/dozen that includes filled donuts rather than $27/dozen that included 4 premium donuts the establishment is a mom and pop store and i am all for supporting these types of stores. Found this place on Yelp.. Easy parking. The owners are really friendly. They took the pressure off when I said I wanted a dozen donuts mixed.. made it so fast. I was gifting the donuts to a mechanic shop. They lived them! Very solid donut joint in this side of West LA. Decently based with half a dozen costing just less than $10 aaaaaaand they'll throw in any smaller donut at no cost! I've been here at 7am and close to 7pm and I can say their donuts still taste really great no matter what. Picture this: a strung out drug addict desperate for a fix. That was me following a long day of work. Except in my case I was desperate for a doughnut. Honestly, I was craving a doughnut so badly I might've just killed to get my hands on one. So on my route home I spot this tiny shop on Venice blvd. So after popping an illegal u-turn (allegedly) I storm into this place. Dude working the counter was friendly and explained that it had been busy so there wasn't much left. I ended up grabbing a maple frosted and some buttermilk chocolate thing. The maple was delish! The dough was light and airy and the maple frosting wasn't overly sweet. The chocolate thing was underwhelming. The frosting was rich and tasty but the pastry itself was dense and dry. I'd like to come back earlier some other time though! Super clean little donut shop with absolutely delicious fresh donuts of all kinds. Plus they offer hot coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches such as ham and cheese croissants which are killer. The staff is always kind, gracious and they have always added extra jelly to my jelly donut if I ask. They take cash and cards but not EBT. There are little modern white tables with orange chairs to sit in and amazingly, their customers are friendly as well. If the store is empty, no worries, one of the Asian ladies will make kind small talk with you. Nothing too fancy, but hey they have a great variety for a good value! Also it was POPPIN at 9 AM on a weekday with people stopping by before work. The location is really convenient near my studio and right next to the Culver City station, and they open at 4:30 AM! Not the best place to sit down and enjoy your food, but it's the perfect spot if you need a quick pick-me-up, or feel like making your coworkers happy. FYI THEY ACCEPT CARDS. Normally, I'm not a big doughnut eater (I mean, I love them but I don't let myself have them...often), but the other day it was rainy and I was stuck in traffic on Venice Blvd, I wasn't rushing so I figured I pull over at the first sign of doughnuts and coffee, and I'm glad I did. I stumbled upon US Doughnuts. This location is kind of hard to get in and out of - it's in the middle of a drab strip mall with a busy and cramped parking lot. The shop is sandwich between a Del Taco and and a Burger joint (that I may try after seeing a line of people getting breakfast). The store is small and very unimpressive, but they do have a decent selection of doughnuts. I ordered a old- fashion glaze and a Chocolate-Chocolate doughnut. The old-fashion glaze was very good - more substantial than a regular doughnut, with a creamy richness. The chocolate was soft, moist and very tasty as well. Two donuts were $1.50, which seems like a sweet price to me - that's about the price of one specialty doughnut at Krispy Kreme. The patrons at the time were mostly guys, aimlessly hanging around, waiting for there moment to speak to the stars of the show. Ah, now I know why this place is a busy. A sexy, middle age and young hot Cambodian girl work behind the counter. Picture dudes with no game hanging around a strip club. This place is Great. I think it's actually US Donuts, but I don't remember off the top of my head. Their doughnuts always seem to be fresh. I don't know how they do it, whether they're constantly making new one, or they just make them daily, or they don't freeze the dough, or whatever, they always taste fresh. I've bought a dozen donut holes (my downfall) and they'll still taste fresh the next day. The NEXT DAY!!!! The people are really nice too. I usually end up with 14 instead of the 12 donut holes I order, and the last time I went I wanted 2 dozen because I was sharing with friends, and I think we took away 20 or more. There's always a slightly strange contingent of people there because there's a bus stop right there, a Quizno's, a chinese restaurant, a Wendy's and then your basic homeless and/or lonely people. This place is like donut heaven to me. To me, it rocks harder than any chain donut establishment (YES - including the dreaded Krispy Kreme). It isn't the nicest place, so it's definitely not the type of place you'd want to meet up with buddies and chat over a leisurely donut or two. But, if you are hungover on a Saturday morning / have an inexplicable fried dough craving / need a dozen for a family or work party / baby mama has a 1am donut urge, this is your spot. It's better to go in the morning than in the afternoon, as the selection starts to dwindle after about noon. I usually get the jelly donut - my favorite - and holy mama, it is heaven. Red, rasberried goodness oozing out of a meaty, perfectly portioned and textured pillow of dough. We've also have had the chocolate frosted, toasted coconut, and glazed donuts. A must try if you're around the Culver City / Palms area. Cash only. CASH ONLY! Be warned you need cash here! Good doughnuts and related baked items. The friendly clerk threw in a free donut when we ordered 6, which is a nice touch. The place is clean and everything looked like it was made fresh. They lose one star for being a cash only business, but not clearly displaying any signage that they are. I should know by now that many many privately owned donut shops are cash only, but I looked around the shop when we entered and did not see anything indicating we needed cash. There were no credit card logos, but also no CASH ONLY signs. It's a little embarrassing to have to leave a store and return later because you didn't have cash. The clerk did keep our selected donuts in a box until we returned, which was nice. read more

I brought a box of these in to my office after a rough week and received a number of comments about how these were better then Wenchell's. Everything was fresh, very tasty and appropriately priced. The ladies behind the counter were very kind, and that can be difficult at that hour of the morning. Early in the morning there was plenty of parking in the lot it shares with the rest of the outlet mall.
