When I finally got help, the officer wasn't making eye contact with me, seemed distracted and disinterested in helping me. officer was not taking notes when I started to make my verbal and written report. I am disappointed in the workings of these departments, they lack empathy and consideration to the public seeking help. My child should not be considered a statistic and should be considered as a life with meaning and value. she deserves help just as I do in finding her. Do better El Paso

As much as I appreciate the 45 minute wait (I understand stuff happens and I am not that important), but the officers that did show up were amazing. But the fact that this accident happened IN FRONT OF A POLICE OFFICER was beyond my understanding as that officer didnt even stop. A random tow truck company stopped out of their way to block traffic for me cause my car was just dead at that point (radiator blown, engine stopped, no power steering) was my savior. They navigated traffic away from me as we saw 3 different police cruzers ignore the situation. One female officer saw the scene, backed up and cut across the Rudy's parking lot to avoid doing her job and the tow truck drivers flipped her off. Protect and serve, when it is convenient. It was only until two officers actually arrived on scene that I was taken care of 45 minutes later. They were awesome, then a motorcycle cop (probably a supervisor) arrived, and even he was amazing. But realistically, I ended up with a "You are not at fault, take a picture of their insurance" and I called the number....it leads to a disney land resort number....fake insurance and I am left footing the bill for a 40K car... Welp...Guess I should have expected that from a Mexican driver with fake insurance. ALWAYS get uninsured coverage and expect the worst. I am lawyering up and going to get what I can because it isnt fair that people can come across with insurance that is only good in Mexico and not here. I appreciate the good cops, but the bad ones will always turn a blind eye. My dream car is dead, and here I am with nothing at this point but a "paid off salvage and good luck".

El paso PD has double standards and poor judgement. I have several experiences where i feel i was…read moretargeted ... - once i was attacked by a spectrum employee with a screw driver because i questioned him and el paso pd let him go even with video evidence. Another time i was given a citation for popping fireworks in on open field, yet houses right in front of the police station Can pop fireworks without citation while risking fire to their neighbors. I was once pulled over for my car supposedly being modified but it not modified. And yet they let gangbangers and ghetto street racers race up and down in front of the police station like its a drag strip. I was once cited for speeding i 50 in a 30 (i wasnt) I asked the officer for the radar proof and they said " i dont have it but i had to go 50 to catch up to you." Then I respond with "of course you need to go faster than me to catch up to me." Apparently that pissed the officer off and so they gave me a ticket for going 60. I was once pulled over at an intersection for supposedly running a stop sign. Which i did not. But ironically the car in front of them ran the stop sign and which they let go, yet for some unfair reason proceeded to pull me over who i was crossing paths with just moments later.
