I normally don't write reviews , but today I actually having a really nice day. Very good energy . By the time I left out of the usps my energy was negative. I'm not sure the name of the employee she was light skinned African american Female and heavy set . possibly had contacts in . Her attitude and energy was terrible . I felt uncomfortable and quite frankly I'm never returning . Its too hot outside to deal with rude people making you feel uncomfortable while you trying to handle business. I'm not sure what everyone experience is with this post office but ours has been nothing but amazing. Twice now they accommodated us for passports while waiting in between clients. Pittsburg post office didn't even care if we had to drive 2 hours to Sacramento for a walk in appt to get our passports. I understand that appointments are required but we had a condo overseas that we had to go see abruptly and didn't have thr 6 months validity. Anyhow antioch was very accommodating and they were courteous and swift in all their interactions during the time we were there. I did not expect great service given the rating by others. But for my surprise they are providing quite decent service! Since I am moved to new house in Antioch Area and the USPS did not start delivering; I have to go and pick mails every few days. This post office is really close to my home, about 10 minutes away. I've always gone here whenever I need to ship something out. Everyone here is pretty friendly. Whenever I bring my son along with me, they're always talking to him or giving him stickers. Nice! The line, of course, like any other post office are sometimes long. But I would say the line moves fairly quickly. The place in general is pretty clean. The parking lot has the perfect amount of spots. read more

0 STARS. I have ordered packages many times and never had an issue but recently haven't been receiving my packages. 5 different packages missing from this week and last week. RIDICULOUS! MARKED DELIVERED, and then I look in my mail box to receive nothing! I am someone who stays on top of deliveries so I pick them up as soon as they are delivered, and on top of that my mailbox is locked. This location is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of, does not answer the phone, and clearly is doing some shady shit. Where are the missing packages???! This will be escalated. I scheduled an appointment for 10:15... and they are just now servicing a couple that had an appointment at 10:00. Very rude to the couple with their son. I get that you want to prevent covid but you don't have to be rude about. This place is a miracle and a blessing since living in Pittsburg bay point and dealing with the worst Usps I have ever dealt with, one of the most refreshing thing was to come to the antioch Usps and seeing the exceptional service over and over again on every visit. I have been to this post office since it's less than a mile from my home about 20 times in the past one year I moved to antioch and I have consistently experienced spectacular service every time with every employee. Yes it's busy ( all of post offices are), yes sometimes they are short staffed but every time I have attended the counter, the person across was Uber professional, cared for me my mail and my pocket and went out of their way to help me ! Every time I leave there I write them a five star review on their official surveys since they deserve it! I know most people only write reviews when they are angry and I'm guilty of that ( only a couple of times) but everytime I visit this post office I can't start my car unless I leave them a five star survey! Every time I get a different clerk who helps me but it doesn't matter since ALL OF THEM OUT DO ONE UP FROM THE LAST with their CONSISTENT OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We all know that most govt employees at sUch facilities don't care since they are permanent can hardly ever get fired and simply don't care but these people are the examplary few and deserve admiration! I'm not sure if the management there is amazing or it's simply a blessing that all employees there are such gems, one thing for sure that this post office is a poster child for how a government employee should act when they come to work! This post office is not picking up the phone during business hours. I literally called 10x back to back at 10am and noone picked up. They are holding a package that was guaranteed to be delivered to me by Aug. 6th (it is now Aug. 10th). The package has been there since Aug. 5th and hasn't even been accepted yet! This package is for my daughter's birthday which is tomorrow - Aug. 11th. They had plenty of time to deliver it but are simply sitting on it. It has nothing to do with Covid-19, this post office is literally 10 minutes away from my address! I won't be able to get to the post office myself until it's too late. The people that work here are typical long time government employees that feel entitled and quite comfortable in their positions. I saw one employee throw a fit about her break during the holiday season, nobody wants to hear these things. If you have a problem, its just that, YOUR problem! Worst post office I have been too. I will start by saying I actually enjoy leaving five-star reviews, and most of my reviews are five-star reviews. This particular Post Office appears to be poorly managed. While my normal mail carrier (Mandy) does a GREAT job, and is professional, responsible, and pro-active in her help--many of the alternates drop the ball, misload packages, misdeliver packages, and no one seems to care. Two misloads or misdelivers in a week. I went in (because nobody will answer the phone) regarding the first misdelivery and after nearly 45 minutes in line got someone to take down the information. There was no followup. Tried calling on this new misload. No answer. So, I called the Oakley Post Office (who answered the phone quickly), and they sent an email to the Antioch PO with my tracking number and contact info. We'll see if they do anything in Antioch. To the management there: please get your act together. Take some courses on management and apply what you learn. Care about your work enough to do a good job, or go find something else to do. Update: I went in today and a young lady who goes by the name of "Z" helped me. She was diligent, professional, and found my package. She deserves credit for her good work. read more

The staff that works here is ghetto and unprofessional. I don't know how they got a government job because they are that rude. I had to send documents to the court house and have the court house send me documents back which required a small and large envelope. The worker made an error and didn't send off the larger envelope. I had documentation from the court which said it was never included. I go in to have them correct their error and the male manager, Apichai told me I would have to wait for the woman who helped me to come back to work & she would have to pay for it herself. Now why would I do something so absurd and actually wait for her next working day? Ha! He said I wouldn't even for sure get reimbursed if I pay for it again. He also threw her under the bus & said she always makes mistakes (how unprofessional can you get?) The woman who helped me magically appears. I end up speaking with her and another manager, Marie Azardi who wanted to ask me 21 questions, investigate & give me the same stupid response which made no sense because she ended up taking care of it but only because I wouldn't let it go. I shouldn't have to fight this hard for something that I already paid for. The ghetto females that work here showed their frustration as well by huffing and puffing because I was still there past closing but I'm the one who had to leave my job. If anything I should be the one showing my anger to them. Their attitudes were written all over their faces and I don't appreciate it. You need to have some type of controlled composure about yourself when you work with the public and it's lacking with them. So I got a parking ticket at school the other day for parking in a faculty parking area. MY BAD...It was in the middle of a huge student lot. What was I supposed to think?!? Anyways, after swallowing my pride and coughing up the 35 smackaroos, I was ready to send my neon green $ envelope to the post office. My plan? Chuck 2 dimes, 4 nickels, and 4 pennies I found in my car's change compartment into the vending machine and I'd be on my way. Problem: NO VENDING MACHINE. Infuriated, I got in line that was about 4 people deep with only one cashier. About 10 minutes later, another cashier came out. When it was my turn, I asked about the machine, and she said it was taken out permanently. WTFF? So now instead of buying singles from the machine, I either have to cough up 8 dollars and 88 cents for a book of stamps or wait in that horrendous line. What to do... Oh well. At least I won't have to worry about getting stamps for while....unless I get another ticket. Ew. read more

This review is for the grumpy old white guy that is on our mail route. A few years ago when we moved in we got a lecture from this guy on having to replace our mailbox because the previous owners had a lock on the box and we didn't have the key. Although he had a point that we needed a functional mailbox, I really didn't need the harsh lecture as if I'm in the principal's office. Fail #1. Each day he delivers the mail, he fails to close the mail box all the way so it just falls open. Fail #2. Fast forward to present day. We had a package come with a signature required. He knocks on the door, the dog barks, wakes me up, I stumble downstairs and see the mailman now at the end of the driveway putting mail in mine and the neighbor's boxes. I said "Hello" and this old fart grumpily sulks at the top of the driveway repeatedly shaking his head at me. He finally makes his way back down the driveway with my package and proceeds to tell me that he doesn't want to have to walk to my door once, let alone twice. **Well FU mailman, it's your job.** BTW, I was 9 months pregnant and about to give birth any day. EPIC FAIL!! There are other mail carriers that do a great job (they have filled in for this one before), but unfortunately we are stuck with this guy on our route and there is nothing the post office can/will do about it. We ended up purchasing a PO Box just so we don't have to interact with or depend on this old crotch. read more

This is probably the WORST office I've ever been to when it comes to customer service. I prepay the shipping for eBay packages that I ship via USPS Parcel Select. The service INCLUDES tracking yet this office REFUSES to scan the packages when they are dropped off. On 12/26/2013 at 11:00, My courier SPECIFICALLY asked them to scan a parcel. As of 21:00 on 12/27/2013, it STILL is not appearing in their system. A co-worker also uses them and has been having the same problem. When I asked them to scan it, they refused, as usual, saying that postage paid via eBay gets a discount and isn't entitled to scanning. That's NOT what the USPS payment page says on eBay. It SPECIFICALLY says that tracking IS included. I don't know how they can "track" it when they refuse to scan it at the shipping location. My friend who dropped off the package took a photo of it sitting on the counter and the alleged "postmaster" went crazy saying he couldn't take a photo. He explained that he did it to PROVE it was dropped off since she wouldn't scan it in. She continued screaming at him so he took a photo of her too! She then threatened that she had his address and was going to have him arrested for taking her photo. This is TOTALLY ridiculous. DO NOT USE this location. Updated: Three days after this incident, I received a call explaining their policy. Basically, nothing was resolved. The only thing that they accomplished was to confirm that their counter staff DOES NOT do drop-off scans and also told me that the truck for parcel pickup only comes every other day. They even suggested that I use UPS instead, if I want better service. Crazy! read more

I guess this post office is alright. If I ever send something inside the office it's always so packed and they take forever to assist you. When I went to go drop off something yesterday, the mail box was PACKED. I did not feel safe at all leaving my envelopes for anyone to grab and steal so I didn't even send anything. I hate whenever I need to mail something because this is the closest post office by my job. There is ALWAYS a long line and usually NEVER enough cashiers. If all possible, avoid the lines and use the kiosk. But for those time that you have to stand in line to pick up a package or need help from USPS, bring your camping gear. Granted I get it there's cutback, but there's usually a line of about 10 to 15 people and there's only 1 (year ONE!) counter staff when they open. About 1/2 hour later , they have two counter staff. Not sure of their operations but if you look in the back employee lot, there's about 20 cars; so why only two counter staff? read more

Lo and behold nobody calls you back. Our mail man always deliver our mail to different mail box. We get mails that is not our mail (with neighbors name on it) Today my husband and I talked to our mail man and came back to us made a comment " I'm not the only asshole working in this area" I told him just pay attention and do your job right. I have mailed multiple items in the course of 3 years here.. and what I could say is that the staff that work here are incredibly helpful and PATIENT. As I am in line, I people watch.. YOU KNOW.. you do too right?! ;-) Almost always, there you have the customers at the end of each spectrum... the passive aggressive customer that speaks to "himself" saying how LONG and how SLOW everything here is.. and the government? Then there is the occasional old lady that misses a few things here and there filling a form.. making some people sigh. I ponder on how I would be.. if i did the USPS Staff's job.. everyday... everyday.. EVERYDAY??!! I am absolutely impressed and thankful to the people that do work here. They NEVER FREAKING answer their phone! I moved Jan 6th they held my mail in their post office location because the mail man noticed we were moving. I haven't even done the address change mail forwarding and the kept my mail in the post office in Antioch CA. I got here to pick it up, it's All there, this was Jan 8/9. I did the change of address and received the confirmation this was on Jan 12. I am waiting on important mail to get forwarded from my old address to my new address. It is now the 26th of Jan. Still do not have my mail forwarded to my new address. I bet you anything they are holding my mail AGAIN. I tried to call to check if they were like I did last time which they were. This is a perfect location for a post office. Right near freeway access, lots of parking and a large open building. My only concern is the fact there is usually a wait but have started using the self service machine which is awesome......if no one is using it! read more

This is the worst Post Office I have ever been. I just left this place due to frustration from their I knowledgeable workers. I attempted to mail off a package and the first customer service personnel gave me two options. I choosed the first option to mail package priority, upon returning back to her counter she said I could mail it cheaper. I had to remove the priority tape and retap with a white tape. I went back she told me to write anywhere on the box. I returned and another customer service staff I had to rewrite the mailing address. I told her the first and second customer service rep told me I could write anywhere on the box. I then left because due to the unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge of their mailing procedures.
