This post office is potentially the worst post office in the entire world and it all boils down to…read morethe woman who works there being an absolute nightmare. I've lived in this small town for about four years, and I'm finally moving away. The woman who works this post office must have absolutely no life outside of the walls of this place. She is so pedantic about everything it's mind-boggling. Things really started getting annoying when I was cast on a TV show that printed my face all over a bunch of t-shirts, and I began mailing out hundreds of autographed shirts. The show paid for hundreds of pre-paid envelopes to mail them in, and she declared that the envelopes in question were meant for documents only; and that they were too thick to be mailed. She literally took out a ruler and measured the thickness of the envelopes and declared they were more than 1/4" and therefore couldn't be accepted. Because they were, like, 1/10th of an inch too thick. Insane. From then on she would drag me through the ringer over the most inane, ridiculous discrepancies. Like, a package would be dropped off that weighed 0.1 more ounces than was printed on the pre-paid label. So she would literally write the difference on the label and have it sent back to my fucking house. Or if I was dropping it off in person, she would try to charge me insulting amounts for the difference (because you get a much cheaper rate when you print at home.) Even as recently as a few days ago I dropped off a package that I paid for in cash, in person, just to get it over with, and this flabbergastingly annoying woman PULLED OUT A TAPE MEASURE to measure the dimensions of the package. WHEN HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? I have complained about her to the postmaster for our district and she just rolls her eyes and says she knows, but it's some kind of federal job thing where they can't get rid of her. This post office is only open five hours a day, five days a week anyway, so you're better off going half a mile up the road to the Linwood location where the employees are reasonable, sane and friendly.

Usually time stands still at a post office. Especially THIS post office. I must admit, I was…read moreshocked this time around. I got quick and friendly service. I didn't have to wait for 30 minutes while one person walked around and one person waited on a line of two people that seemed to take an hour lunch break every time. The female employee answered my questions, helped me make my final decision, sold me some stamps to boot and got me on my way...quickly! It was such a relief! Previous visits have taken me my entire lunch break when I had a job that took even less time. I must also give props for how quickly their mail goes out. When I mailed out our save the dates. People literally had them the next day or two days later. People that didn't even love super close, either. A 45 minute drive away from us and they received their save the date the day after I mailed it in the blue mailbox just out front of this post office. It really impressed me. I've been doing that ever since rather than using the mailbox in my development. Well done, USPS...keep it up!

I print my own package labels at home, complete with the barcode, and pay for them before I print…read more There are no drop boxes at this location for packages, only letter sized mail. I have brought in my stamped packages and have waited in line just to hand them to someone. A nice younger lady who works there advised I don't have to wait in line next time, just leave them on the counter. That would be great except the older lady who works there gets a huge attitude with me EVERY time I go in there and tells me to wait in line. Look, I get that people are waiting for service, but I don't need any services. If they had a package drop box I wouldn't even come inside at all. These two ladies need to talk about what their policy is for PRE PURCHASED POSTAGE packages and get on the same page because they are telling me two different things and that older lady always gives me a huge attitude when I try to leave my box on the counter as instructed by the younger one.
