Nothing fancy, it's truly showing its age. A little paint here and there might brighten up your experience while waiting in line. Truth be told, I do not recall any of the post offices I have been to within the last 20 years having any type of facility improvements. Stamp prices climb fast enough so I suppose we should leave that thought alone. I do admire most of the staff I encounter. They are usually very patient and helpful with the long line of patrons that stand before them. I have come to learn that they secretly love stamps. If I ask most clerks which selection of stamps are available, their faces will light up and then they quickly scurry towards the drawer holding the secret stash. They return with collection in hand for me to view and gawk over. If I happen to show interest to a particular stamp, I usually get the back story of its origin! So the next time you find yourself in that long line at the post office, try to remember to ask the counter clerk about their stamp collection. I can assure you that you will see their face brighten so much so, that you will forget all about the dull and dingy walls around you. read more

This is for the tall blond hair guy that repeats the phrase "We're Closed". We heard you in the back and rang the bell to ask if you could please unclog the barrel package drop off. You need to work on your people skills. I understand the main part of the post office is closed, But on the off hand you weren't informed the Post Office lobby is open 24 hours. If you're on the clock and the Lobby is open then the phrase we're closed does not apply. I'm the guy that said please when I asked you to PLEASE unclog the barrel. and yes I rang that bell 172 times. Tell you coworker thanks for unclogging the barrel. Next time take a moment to assess the situation, smile, and address the customer like a person. Your day will instantly become better and instead of 3 people having a bad day everyone's days is a little brighter, even yours, Karen. read more

You know what to expect from a post office. On the plus side, the employees are friendly. There's also an automated machine that can do priority mail packages, sell stamps, etc, right inside the entryway, which is nice when you don't want to wait in line (and it's in a separate area from where the employees are, which cuts down on crowding). The downside is that they seem chronically understaffed; there are about four spots at the counter for employees, but generally only two people working, even when the line gets long at peak times. Also, there's no parking specific for the post office as far as I can tell-- you can't blame USPS for that, but it could be problematic if you have a lot to mail during the holidays or something like that. No surprises here. If you need to deal with USPS, it'll do the job. read more
