I was clearly told that no appointment was needed and I could simply bring it in. Based on that, we made the trip to the store, only to be told there was no tech person on site. We were then advised to come back the next day because a service ticket would need to be opened and it "wouldn't be good" to leave the computer overnight. When we asked what time the technician would be available, the associate didn't have a clear answer and had to check their phone, eventually saying "around 11am to maybe 7pm." There was no clear communication, no consistency, and no real attempt to be helpful. It ended up being a complete waste of time. We worked with Rafael (i believe) and he helped us for over an hour and over two days emailing, chatting and just keeping the good vibes going as we delt with this annoying task. We had Pakmail package a heavy amplifier for us to prepare it for shipping at a cost of $48. When the recipient received the package, he [rightfully] complained about the damage to the expensive device which was clearly the result of very poor packaging. We ended up providing our purchaser with a $125 credit for the damage that occurred to the device we shipped. Manager (and subsequently owner) of the shop took absolutely zero responsibility, refusing the provide a credit for the packaging cost or credit to the purchaser. They insisted that we file a claim with the shipper, which we will not do, because it was clearly horribly packaged and is not related to the shipping of the item. Pakmail can't properly package items. Much worse, though, they can't recognize when they've messed up and make it right. Not worth working with.
