Average service. Cashiers are nice but lines are long. However, don't make the mistake of going the day before MLK day. They treat it like Christmas eve and they all want to go home early to party. The manager gave me attitude for telling him that the tracking number had said the package had been at the post office after he told me they didn't have it. Then he told me to come back after the extended weekend. They will also act like looking up the tracking number is a great sacrifice that can only be done by the manager. Come on, all you need is to go to Google and type the number. Yes it is THAT simple. Another thing, cashiers please be understanding of the little old Hispanics that don't know English. It is inappropriate to get mad at them and tell them that "this is America" and they need to learn English. Coming to this post office is an experience like no other. To begin, the post office self service counter is a mess. This is from nasty customers who prepare their shipping items and throw the trash on the floor. It is so disorganized that labels and shipping materials are hard to find. I visit this location two to three times a week and it is this way most of the time. I do feel bad for some of the cashiers as they are very helpful but it is overwhelming when you step in here and the line is long with only two cashiers on hand. It would be helpful if customers came prepare once they reach the counter. Some wait until their up there to fill out their forms. Parking is another issue at this location. It is Small and when it rains, half of the lot is flooded. If you don't have too much time on hand, this is definitely the office to avoid. read more

They have disgustingly mannered employees. One of their employees (an older man in his 50s or 60s with white short hair) whose name I couldn't get told my 56 year old mother to "move out of the way" and proceeded to then tell her to "leave the building because her questions were annoying him." I asked to speak to the manager and they told me that the manager was on vacation. The employee who insulted my mother was completely out of hand and left the counter because he refused to help us. The other employees did bot want to give me his name so that I could file a claim to the department. These people cover each other's mistakes. The most unprofessional post office ever! I moved into a home a few months ago and have endless issues receiving my mail and packages. I even went into the store and had to speak to the manager over the situation, he assured me, it wouldn't keep happening and yet it continues to happen. Basically all of my Amazon packages that is suppose to be delivered by USPS, is never on time. I even once attempted to wait to see the carrier to talk to her, I ran outside and she kept walking pretending she didn't hear me, even though she gave me eye contact. I am very disappointed with the services of this store, especially the unprofessional carrier. Today was the final straw, she put that she attempted to deliver my package, but couldn't because my gates where locked, not true, my gates are never locked, also, I have been in the living room with my blinds open patiently waiting for my package that was never delivered or attempted to deliver. read more

5/03/18 Update: The postal service has failed to deliver the mail twice in the last week. The USPS has a proud tradition of delivering mail under adverse conditions, but this post office cannot deliver even on a nice sunny day. I mailed a certified first class envelop a week ago to local mailing address, as today my item still on transit. I attempt to contact the USPS but no avail. I've been coming to this location for the past 6 months now. Otherwise I wouldn't of written this review, you truly never know who's having a really bad day. However, this isn't the case. If you've taken your time to read these reviews and you want to be treated like a stray dog feel free to just ruin your day here. I work for a private company that has me dropping off my orders almost twice a day. Both times usually large orders. Many boxes. A hassle as it is. Yet, there's a trilogy here of rotten employees that just really have left me a gasp. Literal. Mouth wide open. I've never lost my cool with them despite their perplexity for DISGUSTING DISRESPECTFUL and just plain lazy work ethic. To be fair, their manager there is cool. The goats in the front are what every single review has to do with. There's a crazy eyed woman and an obese man who are in competition for who's the worst person ever. So far, as per my judgment. A mix of a little bit of power and a sense of entitlement has crafted this location with the two worst paid services i have ever experienced in my life. You can tell they are only working there to this day because of SENIORITY. Now, i'm going to make this simple for you. 50% of the time they will lose your shit. Do not i repeat Do NOT GO WITHOUT A RECEIPT. I made this mistake THREE TIMES. I trusted their imput " the machines not working" (receipt machine) "its scanned your good to go" etc NO FACE NO CASE right? Same shit applies for your order. Get a receipt. And ultimately, to just add the cherry on top. Youre dropping off money on someones lap expecting them to deliver it. This isnt a PRIVATE company. Its GOVERNMENT property. Thats why its shit. The supervisor at this place is a piece of work. He thinks talking loudly over you is the way to get what he is saying across. I literally had to explain to him how a conversation works: one person talks while the other person listens. He also thinks that in this day and age that the only way to scan a USPS bar code is their own scanners. I happily explained to him that the system in my building has the capability to do this as does my smart phone. He suggested I was accusing the carrier of stealing my package when in fact I was suggesting that my package was not in my possession or in the possession of my front desk and therefore regardless of what his system says my package was NOT and has NOT been delivered. Only giving it one star Bc ZERO is not an option!!! For starters, the waiting line is ALWAYS a mile long! The workers are upset they have to provide customer service for a living. I have no complaints about the clerks at the post office itself. However, I've called the listed telephone number and nobody picks up. I'm trying to tell them how terrible their mail distribution has become. I am getting letters from people I don't know and my UPS packages are thrown on the grass to be damages by the rain. I've talked to the carrier and she says to be "in a hurry" to bring the parcels into my front porch. Quite often, I have to chase her around to return the mail that belongs to others. Some times, I just put the letters on her truck, pressed by the windshield. I have spoken to the mail carrier on several occasions but nothing changes. She walks around my zip code 33135 listening to a gadget and pays absolutely no attention. I am going to write to her supervisor and, if that does not work, I'll write to Washington. Thought i would call in to confirm a package that i had missed yesterday. went online to request for the package to be picked up by me and was given a confirmation number. so i call first thing in the morning, today, granted my phone was dead over night and only got a 20 minute charge before i left. i called the post office and the phone rings for about 5 minutes. the first person who picked up was a male. i told him that i was notified of a package in their location and wanted to give them a confirmation number that was given to me online. plus the tracking number. the man on the other line interrupts me and says in a tone of being a complete A-hole, "Well you better get over here and pick it up.", and he hangs up. after that, i called again, and a woman picked up, she sounded well mannered. i asked her the same question and had gotten even further to what i needed to say. i asked her, "i want to confirm if the package that i am expecting is currently at your location. because i do not want to go there and find out that it isn't. i could give you the tracking number to see if it is there. even an online pick-up confirmation number." she asked me what type of mail it was, i really didn't know at the time. so i politely asked her to confirm. and repeated myself of what i have. her response was,"so you expect me to physically get up and find your package to tell you if it is here." in all that is good within me, i restrained myself from insulting the woman. to be honest, i never had this type of problem with any other post office. especially when i sent a flat-rate mail to california. they were actually polite enough to ask me the number. god bless them. as for the employees working at the jose marti post office in the morning 11/26/2012 i just wish you a pleasant day. and a better life. because whatever your issue is this morning or in general, well.....i'll just leave it up to the balance. read more

This place is crazy. From the workers to the customers. Workers don't care how long your waiting on line for and the customers speak back to the workers. They have no organization here and don't speak a spec of Spanish (this is a Spanish speaking community mind you) so just their being no communication with the language barrier is insane. This has to be one of the worst Post Offices in the United States. I asked to purchase tracking for a legal sized envelope that I needed delivery by Aug 12th. I was told I would have to purchase a Priority Flat Rate Envelope with 2-day Service. I purchased the envelope and paid the postage on Aug 8th. The receipt clearly stated the "Expected Delivery Date" was Aug 10th. On Aug 11th, I went to the tracking site to find out if the letter had been delivered, but the tracking stopped at Aug 8th when the envelope had been delivered to Opa Locka Mail Sort Facility. When I asked a manager if he could check for me, he informed me that he had no way of checking and he told me I should open a "missed delivery" claim with the destination Post Office. This made no since to me because there was no way this Post Office could not even tell if the envelope had even left the Miami area (via their own tracking system). The evelope finally arrived at the destination on Aug 14th (6 days after it entered the U.S. Postal System). When I went back to this Post Office for a refund, the on duty Manager came out and said there was no issue because the evelope was delivered on time. Although, it clearly stated on the receipt, the expected delivery date was Aug 10th. He played really stupid and ignorant of how the Postal System works and said that they don't provide refunds for 2-day delivery mail. After spending over 20 minutes waiting and in discussion with 3 different employees and managers on this issue, I just gave up and will take this up at a higher level. For years I had been a major supporter of the U.S. Postal System, but this was the last straw and show of incompetence. I will never use the U.S. Postal System again. read more
