Again this postal office workers do not do their jobs. The cashier was texting when I walked in and then I placed my box with another cashier and she told her no don't take that we are not supposed to take that. I have been giving double boxes for the last 2 years. They told me to talk to the supervisor a Ms. Williams who stated "they" will not take it but they have taking it. I overheard another cashier in the back call someone the "b" word because another customer came in making a complaint about the carrier just sticking a sticker on her door but not knocking to make the delivery. I'm never against people not having a job to go to but they should make this post office location just a kiosk space for drop offs. They are so miserable and not helpful. I pray they all get new jobs that are deserving of unhappiness. Also the worker using the "N" word in a workplace is so unprofessional and low class. Don't go here if possible and please write into your congressman to shut them down. They don't want to work here anyway.

Who it may concern; I would like to address this issue ASAP with the management of the USPS truck driver or mailman that delivers my packages in my area Zipcode (10031). During this past month I've had 6 different packages that never were delivered (nor attempted). Typically on the tracking notifications, my packages are marked as "No Secure Location Available" and most of these delivery status changes are updated around 7pm, so I assume this is the same delivery person. Here a list of Tracking Numbers with Date and Time of status update: Delivery attempted August 31, 7:11PM 9405516901530061675362 Delivery attempted August 29, 7:04PM 9361289697091110436766 Delivery attempted August 29, 7:04PM 9361289697091110351281 Delivery attempted August 14, 7:36PM 9361289697091101729228 Delivery attempted July 31, 7:36PM 9361289697091092221695 Delivery attempted July 30, 2:59PM 9361289697091092351651 I also have open cases online and so far no response back: Service Request # 14585763. Service Request # 14586276. I'm frustrated that he or she doesn't want to do their job of delivering the packages even when my building (522 West 147th St, NY 10031) is secured and locked at all times. We have a virtual doorman that I can open the building door from my phone, but my bell never rings and the deliveries are never attempted. I work from home and home all day, so I'm always available to receive packages. I really want this to stop because I receive packages from USPS on a daily basis and going to the Post Office to pick them up is one hour waiting in line. Also the post office for my address is an absolute nightmare. The entire staff is rude and unhelpful, making it that much more frustrating when I am forced to pick up packages. I should be able to depend on deliveries being delivered without issues, especially a repeat issue. I'm getting very frustrated with all this inconvenience. Many of my packages are time sensitive as well and with this ongoing issue, I don't receive my packages and it causes even more problems. This issue must be resolved. I hope this reaches the appropriate parties to escalate this case, Thanks

Every time I was placed on hold and they never took any information.

I have been trying to contact them for two days about my package and literally get placed on hold every time. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

This is my opened mail that the mail man stuck in my mailbox.

Eventhough it says open at 8am, the tellers don't get there till 9am. Don't bother showing up on time because they don't.

Even though my building has a virtual doorman and a secure package room, packages often still end up at the post office.

This is by far the most disgusting, unprofessional probably most uneducated group of individuals that collectively work under one roof. The line no matter what time of year, how many people are actually in line or under any circumstances you will wait at least 30-40m. Even if there's 2 ppl ahead of you. The employees are by far the laziest people you can encounter at a government run facility. Just today we had one of their truck delivery woman by the name of ATKINSONS legit steal a fellow neighbors key infront of everyone and denied it. From what we all saw the keys were in the door and our neighbor was just 5feet from the door where we were all standing once she left the keys were missing. When she was approached she flat out lied and denied it claiming someone let her in. There was NO ONE THERE WE WERE THE ONLY ONES STANDING THERE THE ENTIRE TIME AND NONE OF US LET HER IN. The best part is the keys were there when she approached the door and were missing once she left The post office was notified and we asked her to be removed from the route yet they said she did nothing wrong. Sounds like a bunch of scam artists if u ask me. Stay away from this place

Had to ask what happened as I get daily emails stating of what mail I will be receiving for the day. I showed them the email and the lady at the counter explained to me that sometimes the email isn't exactly accurate and that at times that expected mail can come a day or two later. She did say however that if it didn't get the piece of mail to go to another USPS location close by because that is where my carrier is located. Went to the other location a few days later being that my mail still was not received. They searched their archived mail from previous days not to find it at all. Still till this day do not know what happened with that exact piece of mail but thankfully the business that had sent it was able to print me out what they sent me on the spot once I had went there to let them know that I had not received their mail. Hopefully this will not become a consistent thing where mail gets lost because even with something that may not be that significant can be a bit stressful and definitely time consuming.

No more waiting in the long pick-up line for larger items. I'm very happy about this change. I've also noticed that the lines in general are a lot shorter lately. There seems to have been a change for the better in the way things are done at 10034. My previous review is below: I gave it two stars because of the entertainment value of the complaints and banter in the incredibly long lines here, and because the staff, while painfully slow at their jobs, seem to be genuinely nice folk. It's a really frustrating experience. While standing in the lines here I sometimes fantasize about taking over as manager, somehow improving morale and maybe sending all the staff to a typing course so I don't have to enjoy the nail-biting suspense of watching clerks search all the keys before beginning their tentative two-finger data entry. (How can basic data entry on a keyboard that you use every day be so difficult?) I don't know what the qualifications are for working here are but it seems like data entry, a lively step, the ability to efficiently find labels, packages, forms etc etc. are not among them. I'm starting to wonder if this is where they put burnt out mail-carriers to work. It's possible and it would explain a lot. When I bring my postage-paid ready to ship packages here, all they have to do is scan the package with the laser, put it in the pile and give me a receipt. Instead everyone in line needs to wait while the clerk looks at the packages like he or she has never seen mail before. I decided to pay for a PO box here, because USPS 10040 down the road cannot be bothered to deliver or leave notices for my mail and I've lost packages because of it. At least with a PO Box I know I'll get a delivery or a slip, even though it requires about 40 minutes of my day be used up standing in line to get my packages. Seems like the only guaranteed way to get your mail in Inwood.
