I stopped in here the other day to drop off of a package that already had a label (Poshmark sale) and to buy some stamps. I sat the package down on the designated area for these items and nobody was around the front area, but I could hear talking. I waited a minute or two and then I coughed a little haha. The worker said, "I'll be right out!" and they came out pretty quickly. They were friendly and helped me with my stamps. I got the fun SpongeBob ones for a little over $12, which wasn't bad at all. I did notice they were wearing an AirPod, but that didn't distract them from helping me out, so what do I care? Hopefully, they're all improving and growing from previous experiences! Where to begin? I have used this post office for years due to the proximity to my home and I have seen it go from bad to the worst of the worst over the last year. I can't understand how this place is still open. Multiple times per week, the metal doors are closed in front of the registers despite it being normal working hours. Most days the sign just says "on break--return in an hour" with no indication of when that time is up. The older woman with the attitude has signs posted all over--one that even says not to be on your cell phone when you approach the counter--all while she is on her cell phone talking to a family member! The staffing is so poor that on some days they have posted a paper sign saying they are closed for the day. The only saving grace is when the very kind younger woman is working from the Mackenzie Point location. She is great at her job--always personable and patient with elderly customers--I wish she was there all the time--please make her the manager! Avoid this place if at all possible! read more

I walked in with 10 minutes to close just to buy one roll of stamps and the worker openly gave me crazy attitude and was cursing underneath her breathe. She also tried to close the iron gate early as she saw me walking in even though it would've taken her 60 seconds to check me out, and I would be out of her hair. Always a line and only one person working. They used to have 2 people, but they now partly closed that register to make it seem like there is only 1. Usually go to the one on Clayton which is further out of the way but they are SO nice and extremely fast and friendly (their scales were down today so I had to come to this one). Lines are usually 15-20+ minutes just to drop off already packaged items with a QR code. This location needs to be readdressed or shut down frankly. read more

I tried to mail a package. I had marked out the old label information with a sharpie. The postal worker at the Brentwood post office told me that the label needed to be removed or covered. When I tried to ask a question, she interrupted me, was dismissive and extremely rude. I completely covered the label, then went back to her station and she refused to send my package. She said she could see some of the label through my covering. She was just an awful person. I asked for her name and she said 'I'm not giving you my name.' I left the Brentwood post office and went to the Clayton post office. I was told that my package was fine. They promptly mailed it. When I told them about my experience at the Brentwood post office, they knew about the offensive worker (Brenda). Her reputation is well known. She is a poor reflection for our postal service and needs to be checked. She worked the 2:00 shift at the Brentwood post office on February 5, 2026. read more

Came into the post office to mail out a package for work. There was only one post master on duty. The line to drop off packages and be serviced was long and the post master on duty was rude and unprofessional. She was on what appeared to be her cell phone while servicing customers and speaking with someone about why another employee did not show up to work. I understand frustration when other employees don't come to work, but don't do it in front of customers. read more

As of Monday, May 19th, the service at this location was completely unacceptable. Both the employee and the supervisor on duty were more interested in chatting with each other than assisting customers. When I asked for basic mailing support--such as tape for a package that already had a box--they declined. They also refused to apply a tracking label, instead telling me to just write the address directly on the box, which is not only unprofessional but unacceptable for a shipping service. To make things worse, both the employee and the supervisor refused to give their names when I asked--clearly trying to avoid accountability for their behavior. If you're this unhappy in your job that you can't even perform the bare minimum, maybe it's time to step aside and let someone who cares do the work. I strongly encourage corporate to investigate and consider replacing both individuals. Avoid this location if you value your time, your package, or being treated like a human being. read more

I don't think I've ever experienced more rude customer service. The place was completely empty when I arrived. The lady behind the counter didn't look up and acknowledge me or speak to me. I just walked up and started asking questions. However, when she asked me to step away to finish wrapping my box, she happily greeted the white woman that came in behind me. It must suck to be SO miserable in your personal life so you bring the misery to work with you. Which now makes this location too small to serve the area. The staff is cordial and gets the job done. No self service. Came to drop off a package with a label by QR code. Lady clerk said I had to take the old label off first (using an old Amazon box to ship a Poshmark order- I've never had anyone ask me to do that before). I said "oh okay I've never had to do that, is it okay to just put the label over?" Apparently they don't care to speak to their employees about their bad behavior based on all these horrible reviews and nothing has changed. Went in there today and there were two employees talking in the back and three people in line. They got irritated that there were people asking for help and couldn't be bothered to actually do work. I've never seen so much laziness and rudeness in my life! There are a lot of people out there that need jobs and would love to have that job. Why are you giving these people a paycheck?! Smaller post office and usually only one person working the counter. That said I have always had friendly and pretty efficient service here. Sometimes that line can get long but that can also happen at a large post office with several people working the counter. I'm sure I'll be back when necessary. read more

There Post Office is never a place that you would think of as footloose and fancy free. I often sell packages on Ebay so have frequented this post office over the last 8 years. The staff are fine, friendly enough without being overly chatting. The downside is that the post office is a modest size. At peak times of day (opening/closing) you can get a line that forms. I really tried to give this Post Office a chance but it's service keeps getting worse and worse. There are times throughout days that they are supposed to be open but there is nobody inside and this happens on a regular basis. The workers start arguments with people there. Most of the time I sit in a line for about 15 minutes every time I go. I've seen workers leave the building and nobody else is there while there is people waiting in line. read more

Terrible service by one of the USPS employees. She treated me with extreme disrespect. I was told to turn the parcel shelf in order to look for a package needed for my item I wanted to return. When I struggled, she said "ma'm it's not that hard, just turn it." When I asked her to tape the return label on the package, she refused and said I needed to buy tape. I told her I would just be taking the package and would come back later. I left and I heard her rudely laughing at me as I walked out/ Will not be returning to this location, sad to say that this employee ruins the entire place. A post office is usually not a very happy place. Everyone is always in a rush because they have somewhere else to be, however, do keep in mind that your business is not the only one these people have to tend to. I have not encountered an unfriendly staff here. I have been to different places where they are literally screaming at me and making me so nervous that I dread going there -- I am looking at you St Louis Dept of Revenue in Clayton and various DMVs. The staff have always been so pleasant and helpful and I do appreciate that A LOT. I have been in here during peak hours and had to wait in long lines while 2 people work the counter and have seen some impatient people mumbling under their breath as if it would make the lines move faster. Word of advice: huffing and puffing will only make you more mesirable but it will not make the world go at a faster pace. The ladies at the counter are usually chatty but not to the point where they are halting their services. Whenever I come to drop off packages, they are always so helpful with my mailing questions and have always offered suggestions for a more economical mailing service. I have noticed them explain a lot of things to elderly people as well who come in there confused about the status of the packages they sent due to the tracking not being up-to-date. I just needed to find the drive-through drop-off, and it took me two go-rounds to figure out it's ONE box in the middle of the parking area. Some signage would be helpful, as there are cars parked all around the narrow drive-through lane. At least there's a back way to get to a light for a left turn onto Brentwood. read more

I signed up for a PO Box a few months ago. The people here are very incompetent and don't even know what necessary paperwork is needed. Mail was also getting lost and not delivered to my PO Box. Debbie is the black lady with short hair and was extremely rude to me. Any questions I ask (in a calm manner) she will talk over me in a very condescending manner and roll her eyes. She was literally yelling and creating a scene. I went in to close my PO Box and she told me to 'Call the 1-800 number because I can't help you' and 'I don't care about your problem or if you have to come back into the branch.' The lines here are terrible. By far the worst post office I have ever been to. If you want to get anything done write Darryn Keys the branch manager at Darryn.s.keys@usps.gov. On Friday 12/16/22, I went to send a couple boxes. There was a long line which was to be expected this time of year. One woman was behind the counter working hard. It was the lady with a head wrap to the left side of the counter from customer perspective. She was amazing - helping customers and emptying the external box outside. We thought she was the only one there. Then another lady came out and she was falling asleep at the computer. I asked her if she was alright and she said she took some Benadryl and couldn't stay awake. She said she could help me ship my boxes and I asked if she was confident they'd get entered correctly. She entered the addresses and zip codes incorrectly several times and I had to tell her to correct them. She asked me to look at the screen to select which shipping method I wanted. I said which one and when I looked up, she was asleep. I woke her up and confirmed which method I wanted. Her phone rang and she answered using headphones. She spoke with the caller for a bit while we waited and then hung up and told everyone in the room that her son called and told her that circle k was giving away gas for $.40/gallon. She entered my second box then told the other employee (the rockstar) that she couldn't go on and that the other employee would have to do it without her. Ok... Kudos to the dude working at the Post Office. I just got back from the location in Brentwood. I've used this location many times in the past. It's a smaller location which means there is often a line. But the staff here are always so helpful. I arrived today at 4pm on the Monday before Christmas. The line was to the door, screaming babies and all. This must be one of the worst jobs in the world during the holidays. Most of the people in line clearly don't ship things often. They didn't have items labeled correctly, incorrect postage... I counted 3 people upon entering that were standing in line with Christmas wrapped gifts... which are a no-no. The employee working at the counter was super friendly, patient, yet efficient. I won't say that I was in and out of the place, but I was amazed at how he kept his cool. I literally was waiting for him to freak out. There were two other employees popping in and out but neither seemed to care to give him a hand or staff the second counter... on probably the busiest shipping day of the year. Here's some irony... his name was Newman... like on Seinfeld. Yet he was Newman's opposite. I have lived in Brentwood for the last 7 years and never really had an issue with them until this year. I am not sure if they are having issues with postal workers or what! But the only think I really mail off is one bill at the same time every month and the person collecting my check via mail has not been getting it till 2-3 weeks later with no post mark on the envelope. A convenient location for Brentwood residents, this post office is a small branch with only two registers. Definitely plan your day accordingly if you are going to stop by as there will likely be a line. Be cautious of the holidays as well. I went twice in the 7 days leading up to Christmas and the line was all the way to the door both times. Then again, what do you expect from a small, local post office with just 2 registers? I can't imagine a less efficient operation! If this were a private business it wouldn't last a week. These people need training and or help. Unfortunately this post office is the closest to my route to and from work. It's small but what I hate about it is that there is no automatic machine where you can get postage and mail larger boxes. WTF? This is a VERY heavily traveled area and I'm sure it gets enough traffic. The Kirkwood location has TWO of those machines. I got a box AND postage at another location one day, but I didn't have tape for my box, so I took it home. Went to drop it off after work. Walked in and there was no place for me to drop the box since it was too big for the mail slot. The workers were still there - it was closed but they were still there chatting. I asked if I could give them my box to put in the mail - as it was stamped, sealed, and just literally needed to be put in the bin- and they said NO! With that kind of customer service, this gets no stars. I had to make ANOTHER trip to ANOTHER branch to get it mailed. Ugh. read more

I'm not sure how this post office has more than 1 star review, it is the WORST! Long lines with horrible, and I mean, HORRIBLE customer service! I had a package sent back to me for an "unknown reason" and the woman behind the counter could care less. She said I would have to pay $25 to ship it again or go to another larger branch to talk with the supervisor there. She wouldn't even call them for me. I said "you represent the US post a post office, how can you be so lazy?" "No I don't!" she replied" HUH?? Take a look at your name badge and uniform dummy! Not the brightest bulb. LOL. So, I schlep out a few miles to the larger branch and the supervisor there said she didn't know why and that I would have to contact the San Fran office to find out why. Seriously?! I ended up taking the package to Fed Ex and it ended up costing close to 1/2 the price of the post office and I know it will get there!
