It's also new - it only opened mid 2011 and had some great opening offers. That said, the service was pretty good - my pedicure lasted a good two weeks (though I did have to remind my technician to paint the end of the nail, which I find delays the inevitable chip), and I was introduced to Shellac on my fingers. It takes a little longer to apply this 'instant dry' alternative, though as the ladies pointed out to me, the extra application time equates to the time you have to wait for the usual lacquer to dry. Will I be back? Sure. It's easy to get to and the service was efficient. Might ask them to turn down the massage chairs though - the mechanised pummelling got a bit much after a while.

I was done in 20mins and that included a foot soak in a massaging chair plus a nice calf massage with moisturizer. They gave me a pair of bright yellow slippers to walk around the mall so the toes dried nicely. French was an extra $5 like most places charge. I was planning to go to some place closer to my home, but Rosie's happened to be right where my bus stop was! I decided it was fate and walked back after lunch. The salon is tiny. It has 3 tables for manicures and 3 chairs for pedicures. Both women working that day were super sweet and took their times with their clients. I was lucky enough to get the owner/manager doing my nails. She mentioned she had taken over about a year ago, and that the salon has been there for over 10 years. She was the most friendly nail tech I've ever had, and made nice conversation with me the entire time. And I was there for a while! I got a regular pedicure and a SNS manicure. It is very difficult to find a salon that has SNS. This place has a great selection of colors! And she did a great job with both my toes and my hands. I'm always nervous when a new person starts shaping my nails, because I'm a little picky. But they look perfect for me. It's located inside a slightly shady looking shopping center with maybe a half dozen other shops. But it's located right by bus stops, so it's super easy to get to. They also accept credit cards, which is super convenient. And they also have a reward card, so you can get $$ off a future visit when you keep coming back!

Pedicures are also a steal at $30 and they do a fantastic job. It was a Friday afternoon and the shop was empty but the woman was rushing and being very harsh with the cuticle clippers, cutting my cuticles so deep on 4 of my fingers that it left them bleeding. Without apologizing or acknowledging what had happened, she then quickly dabbed something on them which stung and left my nails inflamed. She then preceded to quickly file my nails but did such a poor job I was left with some nails with jagged edges. The shellac polish chipped on the edges of most fingers within 2 days. Unless you want swollen stinging, bleeding nails, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
