The people here are SO friendly and welcoming. No stress what-so-ever. Darren ("Dash") and Lydia were wonderful. The lovely lady who took my fingerprints also deserves a shout out but I didn't catch her name. I was really nervous but there was nothing to be nervous about. Btw, I didn't bring my cel phone because I read that you shouldn't have one with you when you come or you'll be asked to leave but I saw that everyone did - they just ask that you turn it off and put it in your bag - good to know. I did a walk-in (my actual appointment is for next week) but they didn't even question it and were happy to accommodate. Total time was less than 15 minutes. read more

This is no doubt one of the most friendly and helpful US government office that I have ever visited. I visit this office on April 23rd 2015 for EAD finger print and biometrics - all is done within 15 minutes. Very fast, very efficient and friendly. The front-end receptionist is very friendly and helpful. He even showed me what is the best way to send my response to USCIS office, how to fill in Fedex form (he recommended to have signature on my Fedex to have proof of delivery). The location is pretty convenient as well - there is a Fedex Express shop nearby, just 50 meter away. Just notes: USCIS office at 250 Broadway Street is for fingerprinting and biometrics. USCIS office at 444 Washington Street do NOT provide biometrics service. read more

The staff are very helpful. Only one person to complain is the fingerprint taker is really rude. He treated me like I already knew the instruction how to do biometrics and the picture. That biometrics taker told me to clear my forehead. He doesn't want the hair to be there. So, I cleared it. I am sure that my picture turned out to be ugly. Moreover, he is rude when he told me the next instruction. He said that " that is done, you need to come here to take a fingerprint." Very rude instruction giver. How am I gonna know that I already finished taking pictures. He is the one who clicked it and retake twice. It is like he is commanding you to go the other side to take a fingerprint. Very rude and Totally unprofessional! He treated you like you knew it all the procedures. The whole procedure itself is fast enough. The only thing to complain is that rude staff behavior. read more

I visited the center today morning to get biometric done. Although, the appointment date was two weeks out, the security guard checked us in without any questions. Excellent service. They are very strict about cell phone use inside the facility, but they don't actually check your bags to see if you have one on your person or not so for those worried about coming here without your cell phone, you should be ok having it it your bag, just be sure you don't use it inside the facility. read more

Nice people, very efficient. Also, the letter from USCIS mentioned not to bring a cell phone. There were signs in the building itself though that said to turn off your cell phone instead. That's nice, so that you can still bring it, just turn it off. read more

Literally the best experience I have ever had with a governmental office anywhere in the world (I have lived in 3 countries and traveled A LOT). Everything was done with a smile and in a timely manner. I employees were patient, udnerstanding, and super polite. Front Desk Security Guard = A+++ Amazing, Efficient, and Friendly staff. Usually in any government office I expect to be waiting at least 30 mins. However, the chairs are empty in this office because they are so efficient. I brought reading material in case I had to wait. Especially since I was going in earlier than my scheduled biometrics appointment due to my schedule, but they were so friendly and I got everything done within 15 mins. Best government office ever! Leaving for a trip abroad on a Sunday and realize my greencard is expired on Thursday. Walked into the USCIS office and they calmed me down, told me to go home and submit the application online and come back to do a same day biometrics appointment. I went back an hour later with my online application and confirmation documents. They took my fingerprints and picture on the spot and added the extension to my green card. They were very friendly and explained the process every step of the way. All in all I was at the USCIS office for a total of 30 minutes. Can't get better than that! read more

I walked-in 2 weeks prior to my scheduled appointment as I was going to be out of the country and wanted to get the fingerprints done asap. I showed up at 7:45AM and was within the first 10 people waiting. The security officer checked everyone's fingerprint appointment letter and ID (make sure you also bring your passport along with your driver license). The officer saw that my appointment was scheduled 2 weeks from now, but I had printed my flight information justifying I would not be able to attend the proposed date, and it was no problem, and let me in (after making a quick chat about my country of origin - very friendly). I sat down waiting for my number to be called. The officer checked my application, stamped my appointment notice. And 5min later I was called again for the fingerprints. The whole process was done in less than 20 minutes. Make sure you show up very early if you want to be done with it quickly. They are very efficient, it's good to see how organized and thorough they are. read more

This is without doubt the nicest government office I have ever been in. I needed to get my biometric information to support my visa application but the earliest appointment our company's solicitors could get was four days from now, so I tried a walk-in, and not only are the staff helpful, very friendly and just plain lovely, I also left 10 mins later with everything I needed, four days ahead of schedule! We even got a goodbye wave from the wonderful security guard. Wow, who would have believed it? If I could give this office a million stars, I would. You deserve every single one of them. read more

As everyone already wrote about this place, it is efficient and clean. The man in uniform up front gives you a nice smile when you walk in. This is how I imaging a well-ran DMV would look like. My appointment was at 9am. Arrived at 8:55 and I was out by 9:20. You can bring your phone but you cannot take it out inside. Also no food or drinks. Two thumbs up for this place. read more

I walked in at 8am, Dec 2, hoping to get my biometrics done because I will be out of town for work the next two weeks (my appointment is Dec 7). Unfortunately I was turned away by the security guard even when I explained that I won't be available. He asked me to come in at noon which I explained that I can't because I will be leaving right after this. He said that there is nothing he can do. In the past, they've been accommodating. Oh well maybe it is just my luck or they are stricter now about sticking to the scheduled date/time. :( read more

When dealing with immigration issues and government stuff, it can be nerve-wracking, and a true test in patience. WOW! NOT HERE! Walked in and the guard was smiling and joking around with me. My number was called to the front desk after a 5 minute wait; and then it was called again for the biometrics (finger printing and photograph) about 5 minutes after that. The ladies who processed me were courteous, friendly, and professional. The waiting area was clean, brightly lit, and even had magazines for the wait (since you can't use your cell phones). read more

First we walked inside we checked in with security guy. Security guy is very helpful and friendly. Staff are very nice also. I forgot my sister's phone # an staff was nice enough to let me go outside and looked up the phone # on my cellphone. We got in and got out in less than 25 minutes amazing. Everyone there was helpful and accomodating. Brought my elderly parent down to get biometrics done for the green card renewal. The agent put an extension on the current card as well. (Currently it can take a year to get the new card.) My only advice is to BRING TWO PIECES OF CURRENT I.D.! I thought that only one was needed however the security guard wanted to see two. Fortunately my sister-n-law had another i.d. for my parent with her. Whew! Everything else went smoothly and just a short wait as well. read more

The USCIS assigned me to a different state far far away to get my fingerprints taken. I decided that I should try walk in to a service center nearby before I book a flight ticket . I walked in with no appointment on Friday at 2PM and walked out in less than 10 minutes and got my fingerprints taken! The staff is friendly and nice and the service is great. Made the mistake again of putting in more minutes than necessary for parking; paid for 75 minutes and finished in 30. Have visited this center many times over the years, and it is just so efficient. The waiting section never gets crowded. Friendly staff too. Also once we needed to come in before the specified date due to traveling conflict, and it was no problem at all. read more
