OCCASION: concert of Ania Dąbrowska (March 15, 2016 - 17:00)…read more TICKETSALE: I bought mine at an Empik store a while ago. But my friends bought them a couple of hours before the concert at the theater box-office. The woman was really friendly, talking only Polish, but somehow we arranged with a mixture of English and our very little Polish that my friends could buy to tickets as well. ARCHITECTURE: Very impressive building from the outside, as well as from the inside, even though everything is held in white and not much can be seen. Just basic architecture without any eyecatchers or unneccessary decor. :) Well, it is very modern and some may say, it doesn't fit into the Szczecin scenery. The city is changing, you can see it at a lot of places. LOCATION: Very close to the castle as well as the city center and about a 1 km from the train station Szczecin Glowny FOYER: The foyer is huge, a lot of people can fit in there and you don't have the feeling of being an anchovy in a tin can. It has a little bar with a good selection. Prices are fair. The cloakroom is free of charge. What I really liked (that was an eyecatcher!) was the art. A black sculpture sitting on a piano and two others "sitting" on a table, which could be used also by guests. HALL: You can see a lot of brown and gold/copper colors. The balcony is around the stage, but for the concert only the seats till the scenery were only available up there. The seats in the stalls are very comfortable, with a black cloth cover. They reminded me a bit of lounge armchairs. I don't know about the acoustics in the balcony or during a philharmonic concert, but at a pop concert it was at the beginning quite odd to see Ania Dąbrowska and the band on stage, but her voice and the music came from way above (where the speakers were), but after about three songs, I got used to it and just enjoyed the concert to its fullest. By the way, taking photos during a performance is not allowed. They have some good-looking "watchdogs" who go around and tell some in the audience to stop taking photos.
