Blackfriars is a lovely little theatre and arts centre and has its own bar so you can catch a quick drink in the interval of the various productions that are put on there. A lovely place to buy presents from (or treat yourself) as you always feel you have something a bit different to what everyone else has. As it is small the choice is very limited however they do have a lot of great stuff so you can usually find something just as good. The prices are slightly higher in comparison to other places, but the quality and service justifies this I think. I have only ever had a problem once with something I bought from there - it was my engagement ring, in which the stone fell out instantly, but they were quick to repair - free of charge and really apologetic. Everything else I have bought has ben excellent.

This one is where I usually start off, and then I'll work my way down the High Street. This one's pretty small, but it's tidy, airy, and there's a changing room if you need to try anything on. There's always a really complicated display high up on the wall and I've never dared ask to try anything on from it as I've no idea how they'd get it down.

Now i do like Yorkshire Trading as it is now known as, there sales are great…read more However their choice of stock isnt that great unfourtunatly and they never know when they are getting stock of a certain product they just have 'whatever comes in the delivery'. If they have it in stock then great if they dont then forget it! The shop itself is large and has a lot in it, however it is all crammed into small spaces which makes things difficult to find. The staff are not exactly overly helpful neither as majority of the time they dont know what you are talking about, and when they do they dont seem to know if they stock it or not. Queues are to be expected here the staff are very slow and there is usually only one person behind the till at a time. In short if you know what your looking for and you know where abouts in the shop it might be then you should be ok but if you dont you are probably best looking elsewhere for it.
