This is a medium to large USO. There is a children's play area, showers, several unisex bathrooms, computer area, and TV room. It is kept clean by volunteers. The kitchen has a variety of food avaliable. They only ask for donations. You can get coffee, sodas, or water to drink. They have a variety of chips and snack food in addition to pizza, hotdogs, hot pockets, bagels, and cold cereal. All you have to do is show your military ID ND sign in. It was busy but not noisy. Great value for the traveling veteran. If you have a long layover or just need a quick drink between flights, this is a good place to stop. read more

I love this place. It is in terminal B and it is in a great location. As you walk downstairs or take the elevator, it opens to the USO. Of course after you sign in and agree if I volunteers check out what is available. I had hotdog and chips. Sat there and watched some football games on a Saturday while waiting for my plane. it was definitely a good place to be since my flight got canceled and I had to wait to find another one which was actually for the next day. Even though I got a hotel I still use the SO as much as I can, when I go to various chairs are comfortable and the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi very nice. read more

Rest and hangout location...home away from home. For those we with access, the USO at DFW can provide space for rest, snacks, internet, and the ever important coffee. This location is family friendly. It has a kids room, two unisex bathrooms, and storage for your things if you don't want to lug things around the airport during a long layover. If you need toiletries, those are available up on request The volunteers - amazing in their own right - are super friendly. WARNING - some will talk you up. But they want to know the stories of anybody that crosses their doors. The Ruiz fam enjoyed some early morning bagels and then chilled on the loungers while watching a couple of movies while we waited. This particular location is site on the grounds of the former military Personnel Assistance Point, which closed its mission in 2012. The USO continues to provide services to the men and women serving in our armed forces today. I'm glad this place is here. read more

Short review, but a sweet one nonetheless; !!BEST USO IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!! I've been traveling my entire life. I've been in every lounge from every airline and every city in every country etc. From Asia to the Middle East. From California to NYC, and everywhere between. I have memberships and clubs galore ... but despite any of that, despite anything at all, if I am EVER, ever ever ever, at DFW, the USO at Gate B47 is the ONLY place I'll go. If I'm tired. If I'm hungry. If I want to sit. If I want to stand. If I want to check emails. If I want to print documents. If I want to store luggage. If I want to take a shower (YUP). If I want to watch movies. If I want to sleep in a bed. If I want snacks and desserts for free. If I want hot food. If I want cold food. If I want sodas and waters. If I want to read. If I want to watch TV or even Netflix. If I want to charge any and all of my devices. Or if I want ti be surrounded by other men and women and families of our great nations military branches, and have a cheerful conversation that might brighten my day with the SELFLESS and wonderful volunteers that run this place - B47 DFW USO is where you'll find me. Heck, even now, I had a whole 30 minute layover. Don't care, came here anyways. Worth it. I've been here probably 100 times in my 22 year career in the Army. Just an amazing place. It's big with plenty of room. They always have warm hotdogs ready to go. The best part is the quiet room and lounges they have. I go in there to sleep in between flights. TV and a few games to entertain your kids. Lounge chairs to relax in catch a nap. Free snacks to tie you over until your destination. They must stop for those that qualify during a long layover. I recently visited this location and the snacks and the people working there are terrific. I'm 80 years old. I grew up as an Air Force brat for your baby and I love you 20 years and spent 30 years in the army myself. The USO has always been there for me and my family. But that is changing. No longer can you come in with a companion so I guess I have to make my girlfriend wait outside and I can bring her a cookie.!!! but when I was a kid, my dad could take us in we'd all get a soda pop. Now I'm being told that pretty soon. I won't be able to get in because I'm a retired soldier. I only lived with military for 50 years. I guess that's not enough for the USO. I also discovered that even though I'm 100% disabled vet with 18 holes four purple hearts; my hundred percent disabled vet ID card will not get me in. It's a shame that a paraplegic vet who lost his legs in Afghanistan can roll up on his wheelchair and not be allowed to enter the USO to get a cup of coffee. When you do go in you see all this DEI left over program stuff that Trump got rid of. Make USO great again. Let disabled Vets back in and don't take away USO service being there for veterans who stayed the course and served for a career. I was told that retirees and disabled vets are still allowed to contribute to the USO. read more

It would be a challenge to give this USO any less than a full 5-star rating. The volunteers are cheerful and servant hearted, they have great customer service skills and really love what they do. They live off of donations so please, use their services and give what you can when you can. It is a great place to go to grab a hot bite and/or a snack at no charge. There is also a lounge with recliners, always playing a movie; and a computer room if you need to get online. There is even a kids' area for the little ones. Love this USO! read more

Most of the staff and volunteers were kind and welcoming, but unfortunately one of the greeters Carole Jansen the Shift leader came across as rude and lacking respect. I was on a business trip in Dallas for a few days. Checked in my bags and had a couple of hours to spare before my flight back home to Orlando. My colleague and I decided to stop by the USO. She served 6 years in the Army and I , on the other hand, am an Army spouse. My hubby is currently serving in the Army... 26 years now to be exact. Long story short- active duty military or retired and their dependents can utilize the USO space while in the airport to just be away from the crowded gates and enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet, watch tv, use the internet, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. All you have to do is show your military ID and sign in. Cinch for me... but not so much for my colleague. Her military ID shows that she is not currently actively serving nor is she retired. As mentioned earlier.. she only served 6 years. Unfortunately for her, they wouldn't let her sign in. I was able to sign in with no problem. In order for her to utilize the space, I had to sign her in as my dependent. Weird, I know, but that's how they do it. It was a small space with a couple of seats. They did have a snack counter where you can pick out what you want and of course a fridge filled with sodas and water. I grabbed myself a moon pie, chips and a coke. And they also gave me a ticket for a free alcoholic drink on my flight. I ordered a cranberry vodka, which was what I needed after a long 4 days of prepping and giving presentations. I love that the USO was conveniently located near my gate and it's just a tiny place where military and their families can just relax before dealing with the joys of traveling. It's an ideal place for soldiers traveling to and from overseas to just chill. My colleague was not a fan.. she felt like USO doesn't support those who don't serve the full 20 years in the military. I however, enjoyed the space. I support anyone that supports military and their families... especially those who've put in the time to enjoy these perks. So thank you USO!! read more

I absolutely love this USO. All of the volunteers are super friendly and always making sure you're fed. There's a relaxation/nap room, a living room area with a tv, a kids play area, a computer/study area, a tv watching area, and a food area. There are also two bathrooms located inside of USO. What I really like is that this particular USO is very clean and has a bunch of different amenities. If you have a layover or you've managed to miss your connection, I highly suggest coming here. It's not 24/7 so be sure to pay attention to the hours they're open and closed. They're conveniently located in terminal B at B46. read more

What amazes me amazing spot. We were stuck at DFW and went to the USO. East check in with ID, then walked through the facility. Very family friendly, play room, quiet room, snacks (hot dogs, pizza pockets, chips, sodas, water). We stored our luggage there briefly h til we saw our flights had changed then grabbed our bags and caught our flight. Very friendly, very kind. read more

I've been coming to USO for years and came through this past Thursday and was allowed entry as 100% disabled veteran and upon return on the following Tuesday, I'm told I'm not welcome in despite using the same ID I used prior. The volunteer at the counter says well the other volunteer didn't follow the policy. Well 4 people talked to me and knew my status so more than just one didn't. I'll never use the USO again or recommend it to anyone as it's such an embarrassing situation to be stood over and be looked down on and told you can't enter and scolded like a child in public. read more

The last time I was here the USO was in a room off in a corner all by itself far away from everything while it's new home was being constructed. I must say the wait was worth it. This is definitely a top of the line USO! A quiet room for napping only, a nice mini gym, a beautiful adult and children's library, very spacious eating and entertainment area, and then I was blessed enough to be allowed to just have a space to myself in the way back. It's so peaceful and relaxing and I have absolutely no complaints. The staff of volunteers, yes they are volunteers...are really outstanding and go above and beyond to make sure you're needs are met. I mentioned Snowball Express, and instantly they knew what that meant and what that meant to me...I wish I could take this USO with me everytime I fly somewhere. read more

Hands down the USO is the best. Don't be cheap leave a donation. I left a $20 and me and my son grabbed a bag of chips each, hamburger, cup of noddles, and 2 drinks. Then we headed up stairs, recharged our devices, watched some tv, and got a massage in a very unique massage chair. Love the USO. Thanks for all they do. They have 6 tables with seating. 3 computers with printers. Lounge style seating in front of a TV. This is one of the smaller lounges so no beds or showers. read more

Definitely the best USO I've been to! Normally I schedule my layovers in Charlotte a little longer so I can hang out at the USO...the one at DFW is way better. Much bigger TV room and dining area. And there's a workout area :) It made my 3 1/2 hour layover more enjoyable and productive to be able to get a decent workout in and free food instead of wandering the airport, spending a bunch of money, and eating junk food. But one thing that would make it better would be to dedicate the workout area to just working out - there are lounge chairs and a charging station in the workout area which encourages people to hang out there and ends up being awkward for everyone. read more

Wow! So impressed. I haven't been to this USO since it was opened. I had been to the little one in the corner when this one was being built years ago. It is so awesome. They did an amazing job! And, I am so thankful for all the volunteers who run it! Food, snacks, and drinks are available for military and their families. You can watch movies on a big tv while you relax in a nice recliner chair. Tables where you can eat and watch the game on TV are abundant. Or, if you're like me, you can find a quiet and semi-private place to feed your baby and let him take a nap. That is exactly what we needed. I wish I could take a nap, too! I'm too worried to oversleep and miss our flight. Lol Baby enjoyed the PB&J sandwich before getting his milk and falling asleep. Comfortable sofas and chairs throughout. My little guy was too tired to play in their nice kiddie room. They have a family-friendly bathroom with a changing table (& supplies) that we used. Ahh.
