There was only one person in line in front of me. There was another person being helped who was purchasing some things. They have a different cashier for that, which is nice. My passport expired so I had to go in person to renew it. I made an appointment online, filled out the application and printed them. Before my appointment, my husband and I went to Walgreens to get passport photos. That's in another review! Lol What a great experience! The Passport Agent's very nice and friendly! The whole process only took about 15 minutes. Oh, they also have passport photo service available, fyi! I was so happy with the whole experience that I'm telling everyone I speak to about it!! Lol My son and his family are planning to get theirs there. His passport expired and my daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters (minors) will be getting theirs for the first time.

She also rejected my package, advising me it was "media mail" and was inappropriately labeled. Confused (I was mailing the package for my husband and didn't label it myself), and busy for the rest of the day, I had to hire a baby sitter the next day and went to the Odd Fellows location where they very nicely asked how they could help me. They examined the package, said it was clearly not marked media mail, then said there was nothing wrong with it at all and was ready to ship. So, my package was a day late, and I wasted 2 hours of my time on a busy work day. Just a heads up, I have also heard terrible things about the Rivermont location if you want to ship more than one package every year. Just laziness and incompetence. I would skip any location but Odd Fellows if I were you.

Of course I found the little post office tucked away on a side street that serves this community of about 1,200 people. Named after its founder, Clark Royster, this was a tobacco town in the 1800's and is now a popular tourist spot for water and outdoor enthusiasts. The town hosts a Lakefest festival annually which draws a lot of people to this charming town. The first post office here was established in 1819, but now it's modern counterpart post office isn't much to look at. The post office is a plain brick building and doesn't have nearly as much personality as it's surrounding neighbors. Across the street is a darling Victorian house and the Main Street is dotted with cool architecture. Inside the post office was clean and tidy. A huge plus and surprisingly, they have passport services here! There's a greeting card kiosk and plenty of mailing supplies. Hours M-F 9:00-4:30 Saturday 9:00-12:00

The exterior is a long cream brick and stone building with dozens of large windows that expand across the front of the entire building. The wood paneling inside is very 60's, but has those cool vintage brass P.O. Boxes. The dedication plaque marks the post office's opening in 1962. There's a gift card kiosk, neatly organized shopping supplies, some holiday mailing items, and a greeting card display. The post office gentleman that I spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful! He chatted with me and other customers like neighbors, all the while being efficient and polite. He stamped my postcard and even took a selfie with me! Great visit! And they have passport services! Handicapped accessible and plenty of parking. Hours M-F 8:00-5:00, Saturday 9:00-11:00

This is the second time that I had to complain about our mail carrier not coming down my road to…read morecheck if I have outgoing mail. When I called, the person I talked to said it was probably due to not having any mail to deliver to my address. That's no excuse for not doing your job, it makes no difference if I have incoming mail or not, you still need to check if I have outgoing mail. This is not the first time that I have seen our mail carrier do this, it is almost a monthly thing with her. The post mistress said that it would not happen again, I guess that she lied to me.

This post office serves a population of about 2500 folks. Although the building itself isn't huge, the bright red door gives this government facility a nice pop!! Inside the bright royal blue paint highlights the brass post office boxes well! This place is extremely well maintained and organized. Outside the lawn and the sidewalks are well manicured.
