This time I was visiting on Saturday and gladly it was open! The menu is exciting, but unfortunately, not all dishes can be made gluten free. I just wanted something simple, so I went with a slice of gluten free toast and a flat white. The thick toast was amazing and so was the homemade jam that came with it. My husband and son enjoyed their meals too (although they didn't have a kid's menu). I'd definitely come here again, but I do think the prices are very steep.

Beautifully prepared food, sourced from local suppliers, you can really taste the difference. These aren't peas from a tin, but perfectly cooked garden fresh peas that burst with flavour. The street is full, the restaurant is busy, so I guess it's no secret after all. I've been meaning to come here for a while and am glad I made the trek. In a way Harvest is quite similar to Three Blue Ducks, the restaurant we dined in on previous night, as they both source the freshest and best ingredients locally. If you have decided to come here, you are expected to pay more than elsewhere because of the care and love they have put into sourcing these fresh ingredients. We thought the quality of the food these two restaurants have provided were very similar. We have enjoyed the oysters, fish of the day for two, which was barramundi, and the grilled pumpkin and fermented onions. Harvest is perhaps slightly more creative with their flavours. However, we received much more professional and attentive service from Harvest. Harvest is definitely worth the drive from Byron Bay if you are prepared to pay more.

They encourage you to find a seat and then order at the counter, which is nice but odd. Most of the seating is low so it's not ideal for most aging adults. My issues here are that some of the cushions are way overdue a cleaning and it's often very noisy, which isn't how I like to savor my morning cup of coffee.
