7.9 on my pizza rating ... many different choices of pizzas and styles... service was great and the vibes were cool. Plenty plenty of seating and not long waits...

Pizza was pretty good just a bit thin for me but still tasty. Pretty big space and clean. You could come in and sit with your family or on your own. Friendly service! Overall good experience for a quick lunch.

    White pizza with broccoli. Yum!

The food is excellent! Here's why: Bread, served in any form on any Italian table should be moist and tender inside and crusty on the outside. This is the way we found it. Both the bread used for the subs and the additional bread provided with the large antipasto were first rate, for any Italian table! The marinara sauce, which is often a centerpiece for many dishes, falls short in OTHER restaurants. At this establishment, the marinara sauce is the genuine article. It was not overseasoned, and it was not sweetened as so many other sauces are in many OTHER establishments. The portions were generous, yet not overwhelming. Salad components were crisp and fresh. Lastly, the counter staff and everybody we dealt with were courteous, helpful and did their job well.

    Best Sicilian pizza ever.

For over 40 years my family has eaten pizza from here. I've only had the Sicilian pizza. It's all I need. The best Sicilian pizza that I personally have ever had. Went there today because I moved away and had not had it in ages. Ordered 2 slices Sicilian and it was just as great as always. A crisp bottom, soft inner crust, perfect tomato sauce, and a thick layer of cheese. If you like Sicilian pizza, you have to try this place

Mussels with a Vino bianco, herbs and filone toast for the appetizer and the Ricotta Cavatelli (alla mema) with broken meatballs and sausage sugo. Good grief the vino bianco/herb cream sauce on the mussels was incredible! Really! I could not get enough of it. I don't believe we've ever seen mussels on their menu, but man! These were phenomenal! The only complaint would be that there were not enough of the mussels. The ricotta cavatelli was also amazing... as are all of Viaggio's pasta dishes and sauces. Gelato stawberry/maple gelato was maybe the best gelato I've ever had. Not sure if they have this on their 'normal' menu, but if they do, I'm going to need some more. Sadly, once we 'dove' into the food... we forgot to take pictures. :-( Maybe next time! Just go. You won't be disappointed.

After a quick search on the internet, I noticed the restaurant got mixed reviews. Most customers complaining about the owner, service and prices. I also noticed that Stefano's serves pizza, cannoli, gelato and a variety of Italian entrees. Always willing to try a cannoli and gelato, I stopped for a quick treat. Wow, they had so many varieties of cannoli and gelato to choose from. The cannoli I selected was delicious with a crispy tasty shell and sweat ricotta filling. They claim that the cannoli are made fresh everyday, I would not argue with that. They are reasonably priced at $4.50. The gelato flavors were tempting and on my next stop I'll have to try their gelato. I took the cannoli out to my truck, turned on some music, chilled out and enjoyed my treat. Sometimes I enjoy my truck more than sitting in a restaurant. I never met the owner nor experienced the service. In my opinion the restaurant could use some interior refreshing.

They do not pride themselves on hospitality, it's more like hostility and indifference. Originally made the point that life is too short to suffer at a place like this, given the wide variety of Italian restaurants in the area with better food, prices, service and most importantly, owners that genuinely treat customers fairly, even (and especially) when the establishment is clearly in the wrong. Read through all the reviews and see the common theme throughout many people's experiences with the same shock at the unregulated anger the owner directs toward a customer that expresses when the slightest problem with food quality, slow service, or overcharging. There was absolutely nothing personal about the original review, and nothing fake - good money was wasted on mediocre food and terrible service on too many occasions with an angry owner, and the review was just an honest assessment of a string of horrible experiences. That's how reviews work - they relate the good as well as the bad elements of an establishment and share these honest reactions with the community. What's truly disheartening is to see the owners attempting to pontificate after the fact that the review is somehow fabricated because they can't accept the reality that they're being called out (as they should be) for mistreating customers disrespectfully in a regular basis. I would never try to speak up in the moment at this place, as we've witnessed the owner literally berating customers and ruining an evening out for even mildly complaining on more occasions than I'd like to remember. At this place, their motto is "the customer is always wrong." It truly took a lot to have to write the original review and now to follow up to the owner's response, because they're anything but receptive to customer feedback. It's truly incredulous that the owner responded in this manner just because they want to promote their business. Smart diners will see through this. So take their advice if you dare, go ahead, make your own decision as they try to suggest, and work up the courage to try it out and ignore this and every other negative review ... but brace yourself, and as it's said, "buyer beware!" Just don't say you haven't been warned.

I had my back to the bar, but from what I was able to see this is a very cozy place. Service was quick and attentive, and we did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a pleasant time chatting. Drinks: the black walnut Manhattan, Fig jam old fashioned, wine , beer and port. Drinks were all excellent, i tasted the Manhattan and enjoyed it over the Fig Jam. For apps: Clams oreganato (the couple with us enjoyed this), flat bread (was much more like pizza than flat bread, but still tasty, per my husband), and on the special New England Clam Chowder which was very good, not too thick and decent and fresh clams in it. Entrees: Shrimp Risotto scampi, very flavorful Risotto cooked perfectly. Two of us ordered the Cajun Mahi Mahi, over spinach with mashed, and 2 shrimp. the Cajun sauce was tasty with the perfect amount of heat, shrimp and mahi-mahi fresh and cooked perfectly. Rigatoni Bolognese which my husband enjoyed and said it was almost as good as my Italian mother's (like a good son-in-law) lol Dessert: Crème Brûlée - Brûlée was perfect, the crème was a little too thick for me. I ate it and enjoyed it, but not the best I've had. My husband ordered the key Lime Pie happy that it did not include nuts in the crust as some do, he thought it was good. Overall we had an enjoyable albeit pricy meal with good service. I would come back if other's wanted to go but it would not be my go to place.

I don't know how I heard about this place but somewhere on the internet. It's been going viral. As it should. This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. It absolutely blew me away. We're talking flavor combinations like Saddle River Inn by Chef Jamie Knott and Bill Van Pelt's ecclectic James on Main. This is rarified air. I came on a Tuesday right when they opened for dinner at 5:30. I was the only person in the establishment for a bit, but then it filled up by the time I left. I had the privilege of being waited on by Beth, the bartender, who's been bartending in the building since 2 different establishments ago. She was fantastic and a consummate professional from my walk in to my walk out. I was frequently greeted by manager Alex. We spoke about the best restaurants in north Jersey. Agreed on gems like Prime 94 in Fairfield and River Palm Terrace in Edgewater. He's been in the business and knows what he's talking about. I got the price fixe menu for $69. It included first - some bread appetizer (not pictured) and then a shrimp and (eggplant?) or zucchini appetizer. I also got some free bread with olive oil. Next up was the egg yolk raviolo. And it's exactly how you heard. The star of the night. I love eggs so I'm a little extra biased. I asked Beth if I could also try the butternut squash agnolotti and she hooked it up complimentary. For the main course, I paid the $10 upcharge for the lobster and it came in this sweet sauce. Succulent is the word I'd use. Lots of lobster. I am happy with the choice I made. Now I only eat one meal a day so my only complaint at this point was that I was still hungry. But most people would be well and full by this point. So I asked for the menus again. I ordered scallops. Came with some fried leeks. Truly out of this world flavors in every dish. The price fixe comes with 1 dessert. I wanted to try 2 so I got 1 à la carte. A pistachio crème brûlée tart and a pistachio hazelnut dessert. I recommend the former. I also had 2 beers. I'm telling you I can eat. But the bill came out to a very pleasant surprise of $160. I had to do a double take to see if my girl Beth hooked me up anywhere on there but outside of the complimentary small portion of the agnolotti, nope, that was the price. I made sure to hook her up though! 5 words for the 5-star restaurant. Can't wait to come back.
