She was unable to determine what was causing his respiratory issues and began aggressively pushing hospice as her recommendation. After multiple conversations that always ended in her saying he was just "old and had lived a good life" and doubling down on the hospice recommendation , we decided to move my father to a new hospital for treatment. North Kansas City hospital was able to successfully identify and treat my father's illness only after several weeks. And while he did have to go through some rehabilitation and physical therapy, he has been able to fully recover and has been living independently for well over a year. This weekend we are celebrating his 83rd birthday and are so fortunate we did listen to Dr. Garner's professional opinion or else we wouldn't have this opportunity.

I've moved around at times and after returning from years of being away, Dr. Garner picked up like I was in just yesterday. She and her whole team are a real gift to the Southeast Kansas area.

I had an mri yesterday. The staff was very friendly, however I had blood drawn before the…read moreprocedure. I have a very good vein in my left arm and what should have been extremely easy for the techinician to do resulted in a very nasty bruise. The techincian with the mobile unit who administered the contrast dye commented on the bruise , and thought it was ridiculous. She put the dye in the right arm , which is really hard to locate, but she had no problem finidng the vein, and no bruise at all. I guess my point is that I have had a lot of bloodwork done in my life, and I cannot recall having even a small bruise in that arm before. I would have given a 5 star rating , but because of that experience I cannot.

Can't say enough good things about this facility. My wife had an outpatient procedure and from the…read moremoment she walked in, there was someone available to assist. She was greeted at the door by a couple of ladies ( volunteers), another fellow came up and told her what the first stop was and waited for completion. Then, he escorted her to the outpatient surgery area. Another volunteer in the waiting area kept me apprised of what was going on. As to the procedure itself, the anesthesiologist visited and explained what she would do and what anesthesia she would use. We met with the surgeon immediately after the procedure. The whole process went smoothly and we were in and out in 3.5 hours.
