    Churrasco, Papas Criollas, Southwest Salad

This is, hands down, my favorite food truck! It's located off of 301 in an area with a handful of other food trucks. The staff is friendly, always gloved, and prompt with their service. There is ample parking, but can get a little tight when the food trucks are busy. There are plenty of tables to sit outside. The food is so good. Since so many people follow low carb and keto diets, it should be noted that this is the perfect spot for y'all! They have a wide variety of meat and side options that makes eating low carb easy. As for me, there is no low carb going on so I went with tequenos, which were fresh and fantastic. Even though I have stopped by many times, I pretty much have tried the churrasco every single time. It's just so good that it's hard for me to get anything else. All of the sides we have tried have been great. This is a hidden gem. Literally one of the best places in Riverview!

This was a rockstar of a discovery on our Friday night. We ventured to Riverview and what brought us to this area were the Colombian Cholado's(fruit salads) at Frutella. This truck caught my eye and I knew we had to try it. I asked a couple who was eating their food about this place and they loved their churrasco and picanha. We chose the churrasco because the guy who worked there said both are excellent and the difference is the churrasco is very juicy and has less fat. The churrasco was a great choice. Ordered a 1/2 pound with two sides - papas criollas (mini yellow potatoes) and fried yuca and split this w/ my hubby. We loved it and it was sooo sooo good. Still dreaming of this meal here and happy too that we split it. Everyone who worked here was very nice. They have picnic tables here and green turf. They don't have shade here. We ate our food at Frutella and ordered are cholado there as well!! This area has four food trucks - a place with sandwiches, Frutella, this truck, and a Mexican food truck. Don't hesitate stopping here!

This is our second time ordering from this place and it has been positive. Their meat is always tender and juicy. Their sauces are fire and must- haves. Their sides are also really delicious but the portion is a little small. Out favs are def picanha and chorizo. It might take some time to get your food but it's totally worth it. Will return for sure.

    Picanha, beans, and maduros

What a fun little area with multiple food choices and what looked like a dessert spot. I personally only went for Vacunos but there were tacos it looked like and a couple other choices. I was hungry one night and didn't feel like cooking and this little hidden gem was about a 10 min drive from me. I really wasn't sure what to expect but I saw charcoal and meat and I was sold (from Yelp). Was not at all disappointed!! I ended up going with the picanha (1/2 lb) with a side of beans and of course, maduros (sweet plantains, my favorite). I took this to go, but they do have outdoor seating, like little patio benches that was pretty spacious. It is right next to a gas station but the ambiance was still very inviting. Service was quick and friendly! The meat was cooked to absolute perfection as I had asked for medium rare and got just that. The maduros were insanely good and the black beans were seasoned perfectly. I will say it's slightly pricey for the portion of meat, but the sides made up for that and really, the meat was perfect. I would definitely come back here to try some other cuts of meat in the future!

    Picana white rice

Great food and service!! The food was absolutely delicious and very casual atmosphere since it's outside. I had the bowl with churrasco (skirt steak). My husband had the picana (sirloin) with white rice and black beans. Lunch or dinner the food was delicious and not heavy. We will be back!

I ordered the Signature Cut Special while my husband ordered from the regular menu. When the bill arrived, I politely pointed out that I had been charged incorrectly. Instead of simply checking the order, our server, Talis, told me that other meat carvers had supposedly seen me eating the regular menu item and implied that I was being dishonest. I was shocked. Being publicly accused of lying over a dinner order is completely unacceptable. I repeatedly explained that I had ordered the Signature Cut Special, yet the argument continued until I firmly stood my ground. Only then did he back off. We brought the situation to management's attention. While Manager Paulo has always been professional, courteous, and customer-focused, our interaction with Manager Michael left much to be desired. Rather than immediately addressing the seriousness of a customer being falsely accused, the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. The issue was never about the money. It was about respect. Long-time customers should not be treated as though they are trying to deceive staff over a menu item. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into an embarrassing and frustrating experience. Sadly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had here, and it has made us seriously reconsider this establishment.

My…read morewife thought the atmosphere and ambience looked and felt as if it were designed by John Gotti's interior designer. XD I personally thought it was fine. The physical building itself is very unique, very old school... lot's of hidden hallways and tucked away rooms. Almost like a dungeon-exploring adventure (not a bad thing). The food was good. My wife enjoyed the foie gras ($34) tremendously. I enjoyed the lobster bisque (+$11 from included French onion soup with steak) moderately. (had a non-traditional "spice" to it) My wife orders the 8oz filet mignon, and I ordered the 14oz Delmonico (a.k.a. ribeye). The filet was very good, and the Delmonico was good. Neither were out-of-this-world (certainly not enough to warrant the exorbitant price). The baked potato (which mine included butter, cheese, and bacon) had a "bite" to it, something that I did not expect (or enjoy). It might be the butter... they say it was a sweet cream butter, but there was a tartness to it all that was off-putting. I also ordered a thrice-baked potato, just to try it out. It was awful! Bern's has often been rated as the #1 steak house in Tampa, but I just don't get it. Perhaps my unrefined palette is lost on all the Frenchy froo froo stuff. I feel like I could make everything they offered better myself... for a FIFTH of the price. Everything is just so expensive there, and at those prices, I need to feel like it is the best thing I've every had in my life. It was far from this. Additionally, the time it took was very long. I get it, this is a multi-course situation, and you're supposed to take your time and not be rushed. But I personally don't generally take 90 minutes from start to finish to each my food.... I'm just not that guy. The atmosphere and intimacy were great for special occasions, but all in all, I don't think we will be going back, ever.

Probably one of the best steakhouse experiences I have ever had, rivaling House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. The inside is very unique, there are 8 different dining rooms (and I think the lounge additionally?), each with their own theme, decor, and differing amount of tables. We were seated in the original room with many different works of art layering the walls, which was fun to look at during breaks in conversations. Our server Di was great, knowledgeable and helpful, she gave us great recommendations. Afterwards she asked if we wanted to join for a quick tour of the kitchen, which is where she explained the history of the room we ate in (which was the original room where the kitchen and 8 tables used to be). The kitchen tour is a must also, to see their giant grill, the servers running around, it's a sight to behold. For dinner we didn't stray too far and just got the steaks and the accompaniments. We started with the french onion soup, I upgraded mine to the lobster bisque, which our server brought out deconstructed to allow the lobster to show before the bisque was added. Definitely my favorite lobster bisque I've had, very flavorful. But had to be careful not to get completely filled up on it. Next was the house salad, which was ok, nothing too special, but you have multiple options for the sauce and were very tasty. My wife got the fillet and I got the rib-eye, each came with onion strings and vegetable of the day (unless changed). Both steaks were incredible, cooked very nicely and were very flavorful with seasoning and the char from the charcoal grill. I also got a side of bone marrow which was moreso just a try for me, I'm not typically a fan, but enjoyed it none-the-less. For drinks my wife had a glass of wine from there extensive collection - I've heard they have thousands of bottles and their wine book with somewhere close to 50 pages definitely confirmed that - and I had the Bern's old fashioned. The wine was very good, while the old fashioned was alright. One of the coolest parts of the night was that near the end of our dinner the server asked if we wanted to go to the dessert room (upstairs), which we accepted. The dessert room is essentially an entire different restaurant with different small booth rooms for your table to sit in with access to change the music to a few different options. The dessert menu had some amazing items on it; of which we were informed is all made in house. Having a sweet tooth and being our anniversary, we got two desserts, the peanut butter truffle and the king midas. Both were some of the best tasting desserts we've ever had, though we were struggling to finish them because of the large meal we had just ate. We also got espresso which was very good as well. Overall, Bern's is a 5/5 top experiences and food. I would come here again in a heartbeat and would tell everyone it's a must try.
