His prices are reasonable and he always has great pieces in stock. I saw another reviewer complain about there not always being prices and the clothes piles he keeps in the front/back of the shop. I thought this was funny because it's my favorite part about this place! The owner is super fair with his pricing and gives a discount if you're buying more than one item. I also love sitting there and going through the pile of clothes before he's had the chance to price everything and hang it up for everyone to see. I have gotten some of my favorite vintage finds from the piles and paid about half, if not less, than I would at any other shop in town. Thank you for doing what you do!

There is a cool little reading nook that I really appreciate it and they have a good furniture selection as well as plenty of shelves to see all the different glassware and things like that. All things considered the stores pretty well organized and I will definitely be going back here again soon if I can. Their books are SO ORGANIZED. Love this spot.

As I was opening the door, though, I happened to notice the "Closed" sign was still on. As I stepped in, I waved at someone in the back, hoping to ask if they were open yet. That guy pretended not to see me. Someone else back there said to him "I LOVE how they still come in, even when the sign says CLOSED." :O I turned right back out the door, and plan on never going back. True colors about their customers revealed.

I decided to look around the rest of the store and found some other gorgeous items, coats, rings, etc. I LOVE their collection of glassware (vases/pitchers/etc)!! I thought it was so gorgeous. I sadly didn't get anything because vintage glassware like this is never cheap but I thought the price they had it for was very reasonable compared to some other vintage shops. They have comics, toys, clothes, shoes, little collectible things, posters, etc. I thought their selection was great! I wish they had a little more for the women's that felt a little younger? Bedding from quilts to sheets. Pillows throw pillows knitted blankets. She also has a variation of kitchen appliances, kitchen utensils all the way to ice skates baskets, figurines. In the back is where she keeps her furniture. The furniture can be anywhere from nowaday to antique just depending on what she has in the shop at the time. She also has bed mattresses headboards footboards lamps pictures and picture frames. I myself the shop there because you never know what she's going to have in her shop. It's always a surprise to see something that you haven't seen in years, say that old kitchen utensil that they don't make anymore that you loved to cook with, bam there it is on her shelf. I love pulling up to see all of the craft projects that range in such a variation from something that you would put in a farm home to in your brand new house that you were just looking for that one piece. That mouth drop piece that you have to have. So no Jan's is not a thrift store. Like they had really old vintage items with modern day items mixed in; like Stanley cups next to cassettes. Trendy jewelry and such. It's generally cool to look at all the randomness. Prices seemed fair as far as things I checked for. It's two floors. The basement had a room with clothes, and some other stuff. Again tight spaces. Staff were nice and chatty at the checkout. The weather was mild when we visited and small furnishings were displayed outside-- including vintage toys, and lawn furniture. Inside the shop is fun, playful and colorful. Merchandise ranges from classic to kitschy, vintage to new-but-cool. Clothing, housewares, decor and more are artfully layered in room after room. We took home several reasonably priced items and we'll be back!

I took my son along who is 12 and can usually find something in any store that he must have. Nope, nothing. He wanted to go. This store is well organized, clean, and everything is well labeled.
