My greyhound puppy decided he needed a new chew toy and grabbed my prescription sunnies from the counter. Within minutes he had chewed off the plastic ends and broken the titanium bridge. Igor waved his magic optical wand and repaired my sunnies for a very reasonable price -- and significantly cheaper than nearby shoppes. More than a year later, the glasses are still in perfect condition. Today, Igor repeated his magic trick with my wife's glasses, which our pesky pooch snatched from the dining room table. Igor Vainer, who was my long time optician, accused me of being a "no show" to my eye exam appointment on 2 occasions when it was only once and I did call him soon after I realised that I had completely forgotten about it. When I walked into his shop on my return from a 2 week hospital stay, he commented "3rd time lucky" and accused me of being a "no show" on a second occasion. It was not true as I had NOT made a second appointment yet as I knew I was going into hospital for hip surgery. When he couldn't find this second "booking" in his diary, I complained about his attitude and he basically threw me out of the shop and told me that I should go elsewhere which I did and saved myself money!
