Jeff and Jet at Crown Tree received the cumulative highest score. Others scored high too but were much higher priced. Others made it clear we were just a job. The range of price was significant and that astounded us. We highly recommend getting multiple quotes and look for the things mentioned above. Our Bradford Pears are 40 years old and trimming and shaping makes them beautiful trees but they require repetitive grooming every 2-3 years. These guys will get first dibs next time and the right price will get them the job (again). They know that! We may not have to get other quotes. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to come out and take a look at the trees in our yard, and he even had his team scheduled to come out within a week to handle the trimming and cleanup. Alex sent over an estimate the same day he came by, and it felt like a fair price for the amount of work we needed. We weren't looking to remove any full trees, just wanted branches trimmed back between our yard and the neighbors', plus some cleanup in the back where lower branches and vines had gotten out of control. One thing I forgot to mention was that we wanted the branches cut into smaller pieces for our firepit. After the crew left, I noticed some of the pieces were pretty long and thick, so I messaged Alex. He had someone come back later that same day to take care of it, which I really appreciated. We've since had a firepit night, and most of the wood burned great, just a few bigger pieces we had to cut down a bit more ourselves. Overall, Double A's was easy to work with, responsive, and did a solid job. I'd definitely use them again in the future.
