The proprietors, Mark and Marta purchased the property about 2.5 years ago and spent the first 1.5 years renovating. One of the most stunning spaces on the property is a small chapel that has been perfectly preserved. There were 5 rooms of guests the night I stayed, 4 of which attended the on-property dinner and wine pairing which was prepared by Marta. Matthieu is the sommelier for the property and provided great insight into the wines for all 4 courses. When staying at a chateau or vineyard in France, it is customary to dine on site...and both the food and wines were excellent! I also appreciated that Marta was able to provide me with a vegetarian option as I don't eat veal. Of course what made the meal most special were the guests and around the table 5 countries were represented...Belgium, France, Japan, Netherlands and the U.S....which made for great conversation. After dinner some of us made the way to the bar to continue the conversation over a rather nice glass of brandy. The rooms at the chateau were quite spacious and overlooked the garden area. The bathrooms were also quite roomy...and the wifi was excellent! Overall, it was an amazing experience and I will certainly return when I'm back in the Beaune area.

A couple purchased this property a little over a year ago and created a very relaxing and great atmosphere for their guests. The chateau is very large, has great room size and all of the different rooms in the building are great to relax and to enjoy yourself. There is an outdoor park that is walled in where you can take walks, lay on the lawn and relax, or just enjoy the view. It is also very close to all the local towns and wine areas you would want to visit while you are here. One of the nights they invited all of the guests to enjoy a dinner in one of the main dining areas in the chateau. Also, they gave us a tour of the building and showed us all of the great craftsmanship of the property. Good experience and a very nice place to stay while spending some time in Burgundy. I would recommend this location if you are in the area.

This is a fantastic butcher and meat shop right in the center of town. No need to waste your time…read moreand money on the pre-packaged stuff at the nearby Casino grocery store; this place has all the fresh and prepared meats you will ever need. I especially like their jambon persillé (ham and parsley aspic terrine), a regional dish that is ubiquitous in Burgundy, as well as their duck liver paté. They also have a selection of very tasty saucisson (dry cured sausage) that they will slice for you. Finally, in the mornings they offer freshly-roasted chickens, but be sure to get there early, because they go quick, and once they're out, they're out. The only thing that would make this place better is having Bresse chicken. But I guess you can't win them all.
