When I wait all winter for summer, and the weather is perfect, I'll always choose outdoor seating! This restaurant is terrible! What a disappointment. Our food we ordered was cold and covered in salt, fries cold, over slated and spongy. The nachos room temperature and again over salted. The restaurant was not busy. We ate here a year ago and it was good, no idea why it has gotten so bad. Mentioned how bad it was to waitress after we paid the bill, so as not to get a discount, was hoping to hear they had new cook or some excuse that would make us want to come back....but nothing she just looked at the uneaten food and shrugged her shoulders. read more

Food was decent but didn't knock our socks off. I feel our server was less attentive to us because we were not drinking alcohol. This seems more of a place for locals than for visitors. I know I'm in the minority on this view, but I find it pretty tacky that there was a note on one of the menus that said "if you can't afford to tip you can't afford to eat out." It was terrible. Customer service was bad. They brought out a water and a lemonade and forgot to bring a can beer to one of us took over 10 plus minutes. Appetizers were ordered for dinner and they were told dinner but brought out one of the Appetizers as an appetizer and not dinner so we all waited a while. The sample platter was gross . The fries were skimpy and only salted and way to much salt. The burger was very small and more bread then meat and just fro. A few fries a lemonade and burger was 24.00. I ordered the cowboy burger. It was good. My husband ordered fish, that was way way over cooked. It's overpriced for what you get.

@Matt Smith, I was the one who sat you and gave you frequent updates on your seats as we were at full capacity when you came in. When I was informed of the wait time on food I also informed you of that wait time as well. When the owner along with myself came over to your table to talk to you, you would not give her the chance to talk and were extremely rude to her. Our staff were exceptional with operating at full capacity with 7 parties of over 7 people there at the same exact time as you. Our kitchen staff were getting food out as fast as they were preparing it for a small bar kitchen with 3 people and yes fried food comes out faster than meals such as burgers, burritos, steaks etc. So before saying the owner was rude, let's not forget to mention how you would not even let her talk before you started yelling at her. Went here for dinner last night. Took a while to get seated but not horrible. As we were ordering food another group the same size as ours was sitting down. We ended up waiting over 2 hours for our food, while the other group after us had theirs. The owner came over and was very rude to us and tried telling us it's because they only have 3 cooks and the other group ordered all fried food. Our server was nice, but the owner was very rude and unprofessional. They finally brought our food out in to go boxes because we had been there for almost 2 and a half hours at that point and had kids with us that had to get to bed. Some of us didn't even end up getting everything we ordered, and what we did get did not look very good. Owner definitely does not know how to treat customers. read more

So we summer three miles from here for over 40yrs and this is our second time to visit. Obviously the first visit wasn't very positive but now under new management for the last 16yrs it was a great friendly welcome we were greeted with. Wife and I had a couple of drinks and talked while seated at the bar. Waited on food for over 2 hours. Food was mid at best. After talking to the manager, the issue was our fault. Never said sorry and the whole issue was the waiters fault. If you want to go here have at least a couple hours of free time to get food. Having nowhere to eat in this area. I would go to the golf course to get food in a heart beat. read more

The best part is the kitchen is open very late and because of Covid it seems like no bars/restaurants are open around here. We ordered food for take out around closing time (and they didn't even act a bit upset!) Then the next day we thought it was so good that we decided to go back. Bobbie J is the BEST! This place was absolutely perfect. My boyfriend and I were pleased the moment we walked in because they had our favorite guilty pleasure.... pull tabs then our service was even better because we had the pleasure of being waited on by Bobbie J, I love it when a waitress is confident in their food and beverage recommendations and she A1 she told me about the surf and turf and explained to us the steak cut perfectly! The chef came out and had me cut into the ribeye and it was cooked medium rare completely perfect! Oh did I mention their prices? Great prices for the food they prepare, my surf and turf was $26.95! Every where else I've ever gotten a surf and turf it's been at least $40, we were impressed with everything AND we won $184 in pull tabs! Service is extremely slow!! The waitresses were nice, but so slow and forgetful. But It's a bar & close to the dunes so we've ended up there the last two years. Chicken bacon ranch wraps were good, but fries tasted old like they were sitting out for a while. 21 piece shrimp was good; close to 30 shrimp in the basket. Visited Val Du this past weekend to see a friends band play at the onsite bar & grill venue. From the moment I walked in the door through our departure Sunday the staff was amazing. The campground spot provided for us was perfect, immaculately cleaned, leaving us wanting for nothing. It was quite possibly the best camping experience in recent memory. I would rate higher than 5/5 stars if I could. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a fun camping experience!! Thanks to staff & management for making this so awesome!! Ok so my family came here to eat for dinner while staying a campsite about 4 or 5 minutes we saw signs everywhere so we went to go eat. We went inside very loud like i was at a concert . The waitress asked inside or patio so me and my daughter and inside but my daughter needs a service dog so we asked" can we bring a dog in " but they said no its a major health code so we could not bring my daughters own service dog into a restaurant so she was all alone . We were sat outside and it was very very depressing and sad . We got our drinks and i asked "do you have pool or darts for the kids " because its a bar/grill and our waitress rebecca rolled her eyes and put on like a smarty pants voice and said "no but we have pool upstairs though" very rudely. Then we got our appetizer (we got smoked fish dip) and it was ok. But when my son asked a little before that "is there a sandwich because i don't see any " and she rolled her eyes again made a ugly / rude face at us and said "yes we have chicken sandwiches burgers, but no club sandwiches " extremely snotty and rude . Just went there tonight! Service was HORRIBLE; FROM THE Kitchen!The waitress (Bobby Jo) was GREAT, but we arrived there at 7:45, & 4 out of 5 ppl got their meals at 10:00! One person never did get hers,& all 5 ppl ordered the same thing....THEIR evening special!!! Thot they might have gone to Meijer's for the 5th lobster! Finally, got that last meal "to go". To be fair, the waitress gave us each an extra drink ;..THEN another drink! Took 20% off meal, then finally 30%! Waitress was embarrassed! (never did get the coleslaw that came with all meals). Meh about says it all. Just average bar food. Burger had little flavor, although meat was decent quality. Bun was huge for the pattie though! Hubby had the ranch chicken wrap, all you tasted was bland mayo/ranch, not much tang or flavor. Service was ok. Wouldn't bother going back. read more
