Everyone who works at this library has exceptional customer service and professionalism. Leslie is the greatest librarian ever. I lost my phone, but she assured me we would find out, and she did. To find people who genuinely care about their work and people is so rare. Great Job! read more

I just finished using the library services here inDel Rio. Barb Galvan assisted me with my library needs. She was very professional and graceful. So far my experience at the library has been positive, just like the last time when Timothy help me. I am sure that all of the employees here at this library are of the same caliber. I will always look forward to coming back knowing that this incredible staff is waiting to help me. read more

This library is 5 stars. It's always my go-to location when I'm in town to get some work done. The librarians are very considerate. They always make sure to tell people who don't know the "library rules" to keep quite. I'm super appreciative for that because I am the type of person who cannot concentrate unless I'm in complete silence.I love the environment here. Plus the remodeling is beautiful. I can't recommend this library enough. It's my absolute favorite! read more

I came across this library and walked in and was surprised by the selection of books. Traveling from Hawaii and visiting Del Rio for a few weeks, the staff set me up with a card to allow me to check out some books during my stay. It would be nice if they had a wider selection of DVDs and CDs but otherwise they have a pretty wide selection of reading materials. read more

One of the nicest libraries in the area, it has all the media you use for a research paper all the way to making copies and faxes. Free internet as well as computers set up for browsing. Great support staff. read more

This is an awesome library. They have book sales and book giveaways with an excellent selection. The library contains lots of computers and access to the hoopla website which gives you access to audiobooks and media. Large kids area and reference area. I highly recommend this library. read more

Most of the U.S. cab drivers won't drive you into Mexico anymore because of the corruption - the po-po on the other side want a bribe that is usually half of the fare the driver gets. The walk across the bridge is about ¾ of a mile. As a pedestrian, it costs 75 cents to leave the U.S. and $1.00 to leave Mexico - not sure if either side accepts credit cards, so I always bring cash or exact change. Historians tell us that slave-trader Stephen F. Austin had the name changed to Del Río only while he called his area San Felipe de Austin. It makes no sense because the original San Felipe Del Rio is in a Texas area where Spanish has been spoken for 500 years! Maybe some day somebody will convince officials to give the Texas town its original name!
