Been meaning to try this place for a while now. We stopped in on a rainy Saturday and it was just we respite we needed. The entrance is nondescript and unassuming but once you step inside that wooden door, you know you are in for a treat. From the greeting to the seating you are transported. The excellent service is not to be diminished by the ambiance. I have no complaints on the food. We tried a lot. Not sure what the standout was but the Sea Bass, the single egg yolk ravioli and the chocolate lava cake will be living rent free in my dreams for long time. While the octopus was great, I think the bean salad/puree was a bit muddled. The wine list is fabulous.

If ever in New York, this is a MUST for you and your companion. The ambiance was beautiful and romantic. Our server, Daniel, was simply AMAZING! The cocktails were grand and the food was delicious. I recommend the spicy Italian porkchop. Anything you eat there will liven your taste buds. Definitely great from meeting the host to dining at my table. Make sure to make a reservation in advance. Definitely on my list of restaurants to visit from now on when I visit Manhattan. Thank you for making me and my girls time there GRAND!

In between shows we went to valbella for dinner. The restaurant is gorgeous. Clean, great views, modern. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Drinks were great, food was good. We would definitely go back or recommend it to someone looking for a new restaurant to try. It was too cold but it looked like they had a nice terrace that would be great in the spring/ summer. The service was prompt and attentive. The entrance was a little awkward and hidden but once inside it was great!

Amazing experience! We got sushi as an appetizer and it was very fresh (I always battle if I want sushi or Italian food LOL! So a place that had both is a unique mix and put a smile on my face). For pasta I got the linguine con frutti di mare and I am still thinking about it. The Caesar salad was ok, not bad by any means but would probably skip it next time and try something else. Dirty martini and espresso martinis were two thumbs up. We sat inside but did pop by the outside patio and highly advise sitting out there if possible. The atmosphere was really pretty and lively. Wait staff was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu if you're looking for suggestions.

Overall great atmosphere, top notch service, and the most important of all......the food was absolutely delicious ! The seafood risotto cooked perfectly, octopus appetizer served with the most incredible chickpeas in a sauce which was impressive to say the least. The desserts one better than the next the fresh napoleon cake (which seems pretty popular) has a great presentation and flavor. Absolutely worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

My sister made reservations for us to have a last family dinner and Broadway show before headed home, and we weren't disappointed  The atmosphere is so beautiful, and from most places in the dining area, you get a view of the buildings across and it's quite lovely. Loved how they used wine cellar as partitions/wall decor Our server was great. It's always fun to engage in banter while receiving attentive service. At first he came across as a little cold, but warmed up and cracked jokes by the end of our dinner  He also made a great recommendation for dessert, Napoleon (Mille fille check spelling) which is a light layered dessert with cream.  Overall, the atmosphere, food and service were all good.

A superb dining experience! The service was attentive and thoughtful. The extensive wine list will ensure even the even the pickiest wine enthusiasts will find the perfect wine to pair with dinner. The food is excellent. The truffle Alfredo pasta was our tables favorite pasta dish; creamy truffley goodness. The mozzarella chicken was good too but the pork chop had our table raving. The pork was so tender you could cut it with your fork! A beautiful restaurant in the heart of Manhattan with amazing food, a must try!

Great location and service, especially for a client lunch. On the pricier side bit of wanting a wow from your guests, this a must dine.

Food and service good. Expensive but that's ok except for 14$ cappuccino which is ridiculous! Killed the vibe.

The pasta was al dente perfection and most importantly there were generous sauce portions. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and personable. I dined with a friend and we ordered 3 pastas instead of an appetizer (fantastic choice). We tried the following dishes: *Garganelli Mushroom Ragu and Ricotta Salata. This was by far our favorite dish. It was bursting with flavor, had tons of sauce and cheese and was perfectly cooked. If you enjoy mushroom you MUST order this!! *Tagliatelle Bolognese Bianco (Chicken, Veal, Pork) and Parmigiano. Which was so delicious and has plenty of meat and sauce. The tagliatelle was amazing and tasted to fresh. *Bucatini with Pancetta, Tomato, Chilies and Pecorino. We thought this was good but our least favorite dish of the 3. Honorable mention to the spaghetti that my friend had at her last visit. She said it was fresh and delicious but almost too rich which she mostly owned to it being a white sauce.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

It works especially well for a mixed group since they have plenty of options including dishes without meat and everyone can find something. Even my picky niece and nephew were happy. My favorite entree is the Capellini Puttanesca, with capers, olives, basil, and anchovies. It's super tasty, satisfying, and the perfect portion. I also love that they offer wine by the glass and the service is consistently attentive. The waiters are always moving through the room, checking tables, refilling water, and making sure people have what they need. It's good, reliable, and near Broadway.
