DO NOT use this company! 3 years ago they charged me $4900 to install a new well pump. A month ago it needed to be replaced. Unbelievable, since the previous pump lasted 21 YEARS. Had a plumber come to my home 3 weeks ago to fix a leak under my sink. My 80 year old mother was there . He was there for a total of 5 minutes, tightened something and said $300. My mother said what! He answered her plumbing isn't cheap. He lowered the bill to $200, mind you the dispatch fee is $65. Today 5/24/2024 I have the leak again and my handyman Said the pipes are rotted. I'll start this out by saying - as you can see from my picture - that this was the best service technician arriving message I've ever gotten. I loved that they provided me with a photograph of the person arriving, it adds a feeling of safety and security for when I answer my door. Second, Billy, the plumber who arrived, was pleasant to speak with, reasonable, professional and he did a very good job installing a new toilet in a more challenging space. My house is approaching 85 years old, so things I have found in the world of repair and replacement can be ... interesting. He was careful to disclose to me all the fun things that could go wrong that would result in a higher cost, he was efficient and thank goodness none of those things were wrong, so we had a new toilet. I can not say Enough about this company!! I read the reviews and called for them to fix things throughout our 55 plus year old home. We had toilets replaced, faucets changed, pipe work upgraded. A day full of improvements. Tim is outstanding! We worked with him the most, He is such an asset and so professional. Eitan was wonderful as well. Very polite and hardworking. Needing a new Sewer Line we researched more than a few contractors to complete this work. A guy a few miles from us charged us $400 to run a camera and said he would take it off the bill then decided we didn't need a new line. I'll post more about that dude on his page but let's get to Valdel Plumbing. From the beginning they were professional and courteous. Valdel sent a polite and knowledgable technician to our home. He listened, wore shoe coverings, and explained the process of discovery. He diagnosed the issue, explained the process of installing a new Sewer Line, and then handed us a quote which we discussed. The office then contacted us a few days later after we notified them we needed a few days to make a decision. We then started the process by paying for part of the project. After having to reschedule a few times due to the weather the crew arrived. The 4 Technicians were friendly, approachable, confident, and knowledgeable; we knew we were in good hands. Within a day the project was complete to our and more importantly, their satisfaction. I did have a concern about the amount of dirt that was not able to be leveled back into the two holes they dug and I notified the office. I received a call from one of the Owners who listened to me and then asked for pictures of the project area. He was understanding and fair knowing the scope of the issue and we agreed to touch base in a few months to reassess the areas of our yard. The last call we received was a Satisfaction Survey call where they asked us what we thought, what they could have been done better, and offered us a yearly Maintenance Program. We've been in our home over 23 hrs and have dealt with many service industry professionals, and I can unequivocally testify that you should not hesitate to contact Valdel Plumbing for anything related to Plumbing! read more

Justin from Valdel just completed a repair on our toilet and was top notch. Very informative about all the possible issues so we could decide whether to do more if the job necessitated them. Turns out it was a fairly easy fix and completed it quickly. He also looked at a couple shower heads that seemed to deliver low pressure and adjusted the new heads to deliver more water volume (California water saver device in each). When asked to check the house water pressure, he said he would be happy to grab the pressure gauge so we knew what our home's pressure was, something I had been curious about for years. All was done efficiently and happily, along with other information about our town's water, etc. Lots of good information from a professional. I had a problem with clogged toilet so I called Vadel based on a Yelp review. While he was here I asked him to look at a bathroom sink spigot that was malfunctioning and a hair clogged shower. He was here for about an hour (maybe a little more). The result: The (2 yr old) toilet should be replaced and nothing was changed. Most of his time was spent preparing a $703 bill for not fixing anything and a $2500 proposal for returning with a claim to fix the problems. Like most people, I contacted Valdel Plumbing for what I'll call a priority (though not necessarily an emergency) job. I was impressed that I was able to talk with an actual human being who spoke American English with no discernible accent. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and scheduled an appointment with me. I was told I'd be contacted by the tech when he was on his way to my place. That did occur as promised, and his arrival was within the time frame specified. Once on site, the tech evaluated the situation (non-functional powder room toilet and leaking kitchen faucet), and presented me with a number of repair scenarios, all nicely outlined on his tablet for me to see. The options ranged from repair/rebuild to replacement, and each option was separately priced depending on whether or not they or I provided the parts. It's nice to see the price breakdowns and options available. I chose the "repair/rebuild" option (with them providing the parts). The tech probably required about forty five minutes in total to finish the job, and it was obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing. The final price ended up being as quoted, the work areas were left clean and tidy, and everything worked fine. To wrap things up: There isn't anything about any aspect of my dealings with Valdel that would have me rate them less than five stars. However, they are more aggressive than I'd like with requests for reviews. I wrote this one because I chose to, and I wrote it directly from within the Yelp app. Valdel seems to use some third party review solicitation service which provides a non-Yelp/non-Google link. I'm not saying it's sketchy, but it did leave me with that "car dealer" feeling. Having had the plumbing tech request a review, and then having gotten a few text message requests, it just feels wrong. But, still, that doesn't change the fact that the service was excellent. read more
