Nestled in the Keele University Campus, among hundreds of acres of lakes, woodland and gardens, Keele Hall is a 19th century, Grade II listed mansion and is ideal for weddings. There are plenty of rooms for any sized wedding breakfast or evening reception, and the catering was superb. The grounds are breathtaking and will guarantee some lovely wedding photos to commemorate the event. I know I sound gushy but it was such a perfect day, and it was in no small part due to the setting and the friendly staff at Keele Hall.

Speaking of partial. I'm partial to boys. There, I said it. First-Hand Experience: I went to Macclesfield a few times, including seeing them in a thriller against Northwich from just down the road. I used to live near here. I loved watching them play, and they have such a loud crowd for such a tiny team. The spirit of this club alone earns them a 4. I have not seen them play live since 2007 though. I have fond memories of Macclesfield from my days of going back up to Manchester on the train from Oxford. It was the second-to-last stop, sandwiched between Stoke (or Crewe) and Stockport. My Mum's ex bf (one of her 1,000 ex bfs) lived 9 houses down from the platform at Stockport station. Moss Rose, so we had to call in the gardeners. A guy named Ross came in and did it. Did you know that Ross Mows? MTFC are a small town team in Cheshire, directly south of Manchester where 2 of the biggest clubs in the UK play, and SE of Liverpool where 2 even bigger clubs play ;) They've been around since 1874 which makes them insanely ridiculously old, like, if they were a human instead of a team, they'd be setting records and would be bed-ridden.

But this club is nowhere near the sea, it's more in between hills and valleys, so it's named, obviously, Port Vale. Robbie Williams is a huge fan of this team formed way back in 1876. There are 2 legit league teams in Stoke-On-Trent. The evil Stoke City (grr) and the adorable little cute sexy Port Vale who are too lovable for their own good. First-Hand Experience: Well since Robbie loves them, I had to love them too. Actually, I loved them long before I knew who he was... I'm not sure why. Just an affinity maybe. I think it was their name and the fact that the evil, burly Stoke team were their louder and angrier and bullyish local rivals. Anyway, I've been to their home stadium maybe 10 times? Or more. And I've seen them play live there once. So that's my first hand experience. It was a brilliant experience, and while it's only a 4-star stadium that needs renovation (and that's being generous), the club itself as an entity scores 5. Glorious old team that deserve all the success they get, and I wish them well every time they play. They play in white to 19k people, with a little yellow on their kit. The sad thing is they have never been in the top flight of football, ever, but hopefully that will change one day. First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I saw Liverpool beat Stoke 2-1 here just a couple of years ago. I've also been here on 5 or 6 other occasions (usually while eating Foley's Oatcakes). It's a great stadium and has a very loud support base despite the harsh wind. I've been to virtually every significant stadium in the UK & US, due to a lifelong obsession with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born and raised in England, I followed Oxford United (my hometown team) to many stadiums all over the country at away games, and later followed Liverpool (my fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are from personal experience at these stadiums from multiple visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited these stadiums then, also. The travelling support was amazing. One thing I have to say about this stadium is that it is really impressive and intense, but it's also one of the coldest, wettest and windiest in the country because of where it's situated. Additionally the crowd have a few thugs in it, they do have some hooligan problems. But it's definitely a great stadium for the Premier League and one of the loudest, too. It seats almost 28k and opened in 1997. if they ever get around to filling in the corners of the ground, it'll probably go up to a 5.

Personally, I enjoy coming to this theatre for performances both theatre and dance show alike, the stage itself is good and the smallness of the theatre means usually a full crowd for all shows. Comfortable and good views from all around in the audience and the theatre shows are usually quite cheap to go and watch.
