Pros: Beautifully decorated and upscale right in the heart of the Riverwalk. You can walk right down to the water's edge. This hotel has a nice restaurant, bar, and courtyard where events are held. Valet service was phenomenal! Cons: When we went to the posted courtyard event, with 30 minutes left in the program, there wasn't anything going on anymore. We were not informed of the cost of parking, it was just added to the room at the end. The hot breakfast consisting of LA Quinta type options (scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal) costs $24 per person We would return, and just be more aware of the cost of various amenities. We were in a group with friends who had been there recently and they mentioned the breakfast was 3x the price it was from the previous visit, so be careful if that is a consideration. read more

I love this hotel. I've stayed here many times. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Complimentary margaritas when you check in! The rooms are CLEAN and spacious with a lot of places to store or put your belongings. It's reasonably priced. The decor is beautiful! It sits on the Riverwalk and is near the Majestic if you book a show, stay here! Love it. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! read more

If you are looking for a hotel room with high end finishes...this isn't it. BUT...I would stay here again in a second. The staff are phenomenal from the valet staff (Moe and Ronnie) to front desk and bartenders! The location for us was great...kind of end of River Walk so not really noisy. Service is everything! Nice hotel on the Riverwalk. Downtown San Antonio seems a bit tired. Lots of homeless and buildings that need rehabbed. The manager at Valencia gets 5 stars in my book. We had no issues with the hotel. Staff was very friendly! We were scheduled to stay three nights but after the first night we needed to go someplace with less people. Our daughter deals with anxiety and after taking a walk through downtown and to the Riverwalk she had a breakdown. Just too many people! It was very crowded. I explained our situation to Rudy the hotel manager and he was so understanding and accommodating. He let us out of our reservation so that we could go to an area less congested. I was so grateful! He even gave us some suggestions on areas that might be more suitable for our situation. I couldn't have imagined trying to deal with that for the last couple of days of our vacation.
