Great tour and information about heavy metal music and the history of graffiti in the Bronx. Really enjoyed the oral history stations and the outdoor graffiti walls.

    I love street art!

Had such a great time with my fellow Elites learning even more about the greatest boro in NYC!!! I loved hearing the history of the boro along with the real stories from the artists among us. I'm so glad I could experience this and look forward to other events hosted here in the future

This place made me proud (even more so than I already am) to be from The Bronx! I've always been of the camp that everything in pop culture has Bronx roots and this museum does an excellent job of proving that. The exhibit that was going on when I visited was about music, specifically rock and heavy metal, which I had no idea has Bronx roots. If you're from the bx, make some time to come here and learn. The hosts were extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and most importantly great teachers. Thanks for hosting us!

Really appreciated this Yelp event learning about Bronx music culture and the history of graffiti. Did not know graffiti originated from NYC. The staff were friendly and seemed very passionate about their work. I'm glad to have discovered the cute Museum of Bronx History, which is not somewhere I would normally visit, now I can recommend to those interested! Thank you for organizing!

I came here around noon and the place haven't been filled up yet but that was truly toward my benefit as my waiter, Jeff was extra attentive (yay me!). He offered me both brunch and regular menu and was very friendly and eager to assist me if I needed it. After making all my choices, he complimented and said I made good choices and whether if that was true or not, it made me felt happy. Lol. All of the food portion were huge. I ordered their wings as my appetizer, shrimp/bacon taco for entrée and tres leche for dessert. With that they also offered me some fresh fried taco with homemade salsa that was really delicious and made me wanting more even though I had to pace myself. Presentation wise, it was all instagramable. They restaurant is very conscious about presentation so that was a huge plus. As for taste, it was all good. I especially enjoy my shrimp/bacon taco as it was huge and those trio-side sauce (hot sauce, green sauce and pumpkin sauce) was just outright slamming. As for portion it was larger then life, especially for one person. Honestly I think it could feed two people as I ended up taking half of it home. Overall, I enjoyed myself, felt really relaxed, enjoyed their playlist and especially my waiter, Jeff that help tied my experience with Tiny Cantina in nicely. A bit bland. But the service was great. Our server was so nice. We got the highly instagramable pizza. It was lovely and very filling but couldn't done with a feels radishes. I opted to claim my chicken spring roll, a smoked beef brisket pho, and a Vietnamese cold coffee to stay. These three items where under $30 all together, and was grateful to get to be a part of this YEE experience! Shoutout to the Brooklyn Yelp Team! The chicken spring roll was bouncy, and the chicken inside looked like a chicken wing; very visually satisfying. The peanut dipping sauce was very flavorful and deep in umami. A great addition to the meal; highly recommend! I couldn't get over how packed my beef brisket pho was! I've been to some places that have way more broth than the noodles ratio, and this place made it 1:1. It was such a comforting bowl to have on such a damp fall day; really happy with the depth of the broth. How could vegan beef broth be so good?!?! What else blew me away was my coworker's vegan chicken in his pho. It tasted EXACTLY like chicken! Great texture and plenty of meat in every noodley bite! The Vietnamese cold coffee was also a very pleasant first time surprise! I've never had it before, and loved how refreshing, light, and sweet it was! It really would be lovely to have on a super hot and humid day, that's for sure. Great depth of flavor in the coffee itself with Lucy's adorable packaging. Although I was astounded that only a small group of about 5 reviewers came, I know from hearing that this area is quite harder to get stuff from if the company seems to mention the name Yelp. Having known Bill from having followed him for years and having friended him shortly after he became the Yelp Poughkeepsie Ambassador, I recognized him the second I got there and yelled to him "Hey Bill", when I arrived. (If you've seen him in his profile picture like I did, it felt like I had known him for years without too much change in facial profile. He seemed to take things rather easily once I got there. He told me to get the free swag, I was almost forced to check in (which I did), but my cloddy fingers and the fact that my iPad and app was messing me up to check in really put a damper on things. I was amazed that Bill didn't ask several of the others to check in and gave them there stuff without even asking about checking in. That was so unfair - a simple audible reminder to them saying "please check in would have helped ( you wouldn't have needed to go the extra mile there). On top of the sport jug and Yelp mint freebies swag he had after checking in, We small talked to the end without too much focus on Yelp (with a few exceptions). I was glad to get to know more about those reviewers I review with and realize that there is really a face and voice behind the name and location. If only things weren't set so much in bars, I'd be to this stuff more often. Perhaps an occasional non-pub event could be held yearly or quarterly.

Improving on the inaugural edition, Yelp LI Community Manager Drew selected the PERFECT (DAMN the rain!) location for this year's - the gorgeous grounds of the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium overlooking Northport Bay is exactly where an event of this magnitude belongs! Since I was in the front driver seat this year my drinking took a back seat, but I did manage to have a sip from a few of the cocktail sponsors early on. Here's my report... Being summer, citrus and sweet was the overwhelming theme which made it difficult for the contenders to differentiate themselves. CORK & KERRY/The ROAST did that with attention to detail in the crafting of their cocktail, Lucky No. 9, which implies they tried 8 other variations before they hit on the right one using milk washed HENDRICK's Gin and acid adjusted OJ - I'm not sure what the process entails, but it makes for a damn fine drink. They well deserved the Most Creative Cocktail award. SPIRO's, always a crowd favorite, and now 2x winner of Favorite Cocktail award did not sit on their laurels this year to pull off the repeat victory. They always swing for the fences coming with a variety of cocktails, which is an excellent strategy. Besides great drinks they also do the right thing for their branding/advertising by putting up large signs to make them standout (other's should take the cue - there were tables I had no idea who they were with no clear or too small signage) For me, the best thing I drank all night was SAIL AWAY Coffee's nitro cold brew coffee.. yes.. you heard me right.. they keg this stuff up, inject it with some nitro to make it unbelievably creamy that you will swear there is dairy in this, but nope! Incredible! My buddy Lee told me VAUXHALL in Huntington makes an old fashioned incorporating this - which as the weather gets cooler I must try. Anthony Fuscaldo and later the Notorious R.U.G. (Yelp's own Ruggy!) provided the musical entertainment. Ruggy had many of the attendees dancing, especially towards the end which came too soon. Perhaps next time a longer event, on a Friday or, dare to dream, Saturday night to help celebrate some of the best of what Long Island has to offer!

Once I find something perfect to pair it with, I'm coming back and adding that $40 bottle of honey to my own private collection! Anywho, the pasta was awesome. It's fresh made and tastes like it. The chicken we sampled was also loved - rolled with pesto, sun dried tomatoes with good texture. The yelp perks were also nice! I got a tiramisu with the 10 dollar dessert coupon that was BOMB. It's pretty up there with the best tiramisus I've had. It was also an extremely generous helping. Additionally, for the one free entree, I took home a sausage pasta w/ pink sauce. The pink sauce was divine! My favorite part of that entree was how it fit perfectly well in my countertop toaster oven.
