You can sit as long as you would like. It comes with fountain soda, soda can or water. The Caesar salad is okay. Not much salad or chicken. This might be our new Italian pizzeria spot. We just came from a birthday party that got catering from here. Their linguine with white clam sauce was amazing. I know my leftover pictures don't reflect this but they had giant size clams on top and they were super fresh too. So fresh that my picky 4 years old ate like 4-5 of them. We also took home some penne Ala vodka and chicken parm and all were delicious. Will definitely come back and get catering from them in the future. read more

Really liked the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, from the way it was themed, to the people who worked there. They were very patient while we were deciding on what we wanted, and took the time to explain what some of the pizzas had on it with a smile! I ordered a slice of the barbecue chicken pizza, and another slice of one that had a type of pasta on it (sorry I don't recall the name); and they both tasted amazing!!! The barbecue sauce the on the barbecue chicken pizza wasn't overly strong or undermining, and the other pizza also had a perfect balance with all the ingredients as well!! The only reason I came here was because: a) I was less than a half mile away; and b) I called to verify that they had a bathroom. What can I say? I'm a salesman. I'm out on the road and sh*t happens. I'm sorry to report that I've gone my whole life without trying the pizza in this place until today. I walked in, took a seat in the back room, whipped out my laptop, ordered the lunch special 9" pizza with one topping (mushrooms) and hit the bathroom (which was perfectly clean and operational, I might add). Soon after coming back to the table, my freaking pizza was served. Extremely thin, crispy crust... excellent pizza. I gobbled that thing down so quickly, I asked the server (very cool guy who the other customers here appear to know well) for ANOTHER. I'm probably going to drop $25 on a "lunch special" that's one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Totally worth it. And FAST! Come for the food, come for the bathroom... whatever. I must start off as the food here is banging. When I lived in this area this was my go to pizza place. However, this review is mainly on service. Yesterday, I arrived and saw it was a bit busy. Normally, you order the pizza where the person is near the oven, taking orders. I placed my order for two slices. It was boxed right away no issues. As I am ready to pay and leave, the lady at the cash register is like im busy with this person. There was more then enough staff helping everyone. No one else at the cash register. I ask, her where are you suppose to order, she is like with this guy here next to her and you pay here. Ok?? Im like why didn't you tell the guy ordering with you to order with him. No response, still not taking my money. I almost left but I was hungry lol. Paid and left! Probably won't be back here for awhile. Lady had one job to take money after orders. I first visited Valentino's as a child and I must say, this pizzeria is still great even after 50+ years. A large cheese pie and antipasto salad are part of our family's standard order and they still hit every time. The chicken wings, garlic knots and eggplant parmigiana are also quite delicious. The restaurant has undergone several revisions and renovations throughout the decades and remains classically welcoming and comfortable. Whether eating in, taking out or delivery, the service is friendly and fast. Prices are obviously higher these days but still relatively reasonable. read more

Has it already been a year since my last visit?! Flew into town town late tonight and my aunt already had a whole cheese pie from Valentinos waiting for me. Love that she knows how much I love pizza. Not going to lie, my first few visits here were just alright so I wasn't expecting to be wowed. At this hour though, this certainly will do! Threw a few slices in a pan to reheat and I was pleasantly surprised. It was everything I hoped for in a NY pizza. Thin and crisp but not hard, crunchy or too fluffy. I remembered their dough being too fluffy for my taste, but this time it was perfect. Their sauce is good, not too acidic and slightly sweet and a good amount of cheese. The food's still rocking today. Nice and quiet restaurant. There is a pizza station in front and a restaurant in the back. My mother-in-law loves Eggplant Parmigiana from here. I love pasta with clams. I also love how they prepare spinach and broccoli rabe in the pasta with garlic and oil. That's one of my lunch favorites. However, the pasta with clams is unbeatable. The lunch pizza was good because it's a thin-crust pizza, which I like. They know how to make Angel hair with clam sauce the best for me and Hubby! One star service! Ordered 3 items and only received 2! How hard is it to read your order screen? I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, chicken fettuccine alfredo and a caesar salad. I received my order and only had the salad and pizza. Now I wouldn't normally make a big deal and chalk it up to miscommunication or something, but when I called and spoke to the lady and explained my problem she looked up the order history and saw the order had a 20+ dollar alfredo dish, but ADMITTED that the guys missed it and still charged me. I was robbed by this pizza place and im warning you not to get robbed either! There was an amazing Italian restaurant on Queens blvd, but it closed a few years back. I've been searching for a place that does chicken parm as good as they did and I'm so excited to have finally found it. The sauce is delicious. Not like some places where it's too sweet or zesty, it's almost perfect. The portions were huge and worth the price. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the cheese was amazing. Bravo. I seriously haven't had chicken parm this good is years and I'm hoping the pizza is equally good because if so, this is my new go-to for Friday [cheat] night delivery. I love old school Italian places and this place fits the bill. The place is a very casual place, kinda feels like a neighborhood pizza joint but the back area has a bit more of a restaurant feel. The restaurant also has a nice parking lot in the back which is a nice bonus. Also, they have a very generous lunch special, it's like $10 but they have a bunch of different items to pick from. The food: Clams Oreganata- Baked little neck clams. I thought these were great. I enjoyed the stuffing, the clam were cooked nicely and overall just good quality flavor. I would get this again. Fried Zucchini Sticks- These were made really well, the outside was really crunchy and the inside was super tender. These were great. Tortellini Della Nonna- Cheese filled rings with prosciutto, cream, mushrooms & peas. I really liked this a lot. I typically think cream sauces will be too heavy but this one was really balanced and not too heavy. I thought the pasta was cooked perfectly and as a whole, it was really delicious. This is a must order. Clams Vongole- Whole clams in white sauce. Overall this was just ok. I enjoyed how much clam this dish had and I also appreciated the whole clams that were in the dish but I felt this dish was a bit underwhelming and it was a bit bland. Valentino's has been a neighborhood staple for over 55 years, and although I haven't been alive that long I have been working in the area for about half that time where Valentino's has always had a great reputation while keeping consistent great food. Recently I have been indulging more because that's what you do during a pandemic - hit those comforting classics! A couple of their standout specialty pizzas are the eggplant - which has large, thick fried eggplant slices topped with ricotta and bit of sauce and the shrimp pie which comes with plenty of shrimp in all that cheesy white slice goodness. Their classic sesame seed coated crust added an extra touch of flavor to their well made dough. Their apps, entrees and pastas are generous and well made. I love their lightly fried tender calamari. The Linguini Fruitti Di Mare is packed with Whole calms, mussels, shrimp & calamari in a light tomato sauce you can easily make this a delicious dinner for 2 with the amount they give. Order from their website directly, call in or in person for the best deal. They prefer cash and there is a slight up charge for credit cards. This place makes a mean fresh chicken roll! The cheese is gooey, the bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, nice sized chicken cutlet. Nice sized pieces of chicken cutlet are enrobed in gooey cheese, flavorful tomato sauce and delicious bread that's crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, topped with sesame seeds! Another great local spot that I've had my eye in and have been excited to try, and this place did not disappoint! Ordered the Veal voldostana and the fried calamari. The marinara sauce is seriously one of the better ones I've had, as it's savory somewhat sweet and was not sour at all! Pleasantly surprised and due to how good it was here I'd actually come back for more of there marinara based dishes ( looking at you Parmasan dishes). The Veal that I ordered here ass good and unique with a nice serving of ham and cheese, but it is a little too salty for my taste and could have improved by cutting out some of the salt. Getting pizza was actually unplanned. I dropped a friend off after work in this area and I was surprised to see a pizzeria still open so late. Pizza is something I crave probably only once or twice a year and can live without plus I have lactose intolerance (never stopped me tho!) but the hunger and tiredness made me do it. Because yolo. Surprisingly I did not regret it at all. This cheese slice made me think "oh I see why people like pizza so much." This was supposed to be a snack to hold me down until I get home to make dinner but I didn't even want dinner at this point. This one slice of pizza was satisfying enough. Valentino's was the spot to me when I was a student at P.S. 154 and Parsons. My friends and I agreed that nothing was better than an inexpensive cheesy plain slice and coke. Most days that was our afternoon snack which left us more than satisfied. If our parents left us a little something extra in morning we would each order two slices and a can of coke. In a note i added mushrooms to my penne i came back with an adjusted total but it was only slightly higher than the addition of mushrooms to the cheese calzone hence My ONE complaint... they used canned mushrooms in the calzone... yes i know the logistics and water content and stuff ... but canned mushrooms are gross...On pizza or in general... Valentinos has a variety of different slices. The pizza is pretty good and so are the garlic knots and chicken rolls. I wouldn't recommend the beef patties because they put them in the microwave and then in the oven so they're soft, not crunchy. read more
