I will begin by saying that I am a skeptic but decided to give Valerie a try because I had never had a psychic reading before and why the heck not? It was immediately obvious that Valerie depends on cold reading. I wanted to be convinced, I really did, but her observations were incredibly vague, as were her predictions. Valerie is amazing, I work in a high school and they are doing their final about a famous murder case so she called and was on speakerphone and took time to talk about some cases she worked on then spirit came through and she freaked out some of the kids with what she said, she does not hold back. Psychic Medium Valerie Morrison saved my life - Literally I had met Valerie Morrison, not as a client, but socially several times in the past. During the course of one of these social encounters with Valerie she had overheard me complaining to someone about my ribs being sore which I believed was caused by a recent fall I had taken down the steps at my parent's home. Valerie came over to me, and with her proclamation of our past social encounters now to her a friendship kindly acknowledged and with my privacy assured, respectfully said to me that she believed that there was something else more severally wrong with me and insisted that I immediately get a thorough battery of blood tests taken as a precaution. This is a difficult review to write, because I went with my mom and we both had very different experiences. Just as a note to clarify, I am very skeptical of these types of establishments. I do go for more entertainment purposes than anything else. That being said, I used to go to the late Mr. Dee and was pretty blown away with him. But in my opinion Valerie Morrison didn't really cut it for me, First thing first, the prices to see Valerie are a little astronomical. It is $100 for a half hour and $150 for an hour. I paid for both me and my mom to have an hour, but unfortunately we only got about 40 minutes each. I didn't realize that until it was too late. I think she thought we only booked a half hour because she brought up a few times that we got an extra few minutes. Oh well. Since 40 minutes is a relatively short time to learn about the rest of your life, I would have appreciated if Valerie talked less about herself and more about me. I don't think that is too much to ask when spending $150. It was literally about half her half me...it seemed like everything I asked reminded her of a personal story, and then she went off on a tangent. I also felt like there was a lot of typical psychic stuff thrown into the session. "Are you missing a piece of jewelry" comes to mind. Like I said, my mom went before I did and had a pretty good experience. While she also complained about Valerie talking too much about herself, Valerie was able to say things about my family that would have been difficult to just guess. I think goin after my mom, and letting Valerie know we are mother and daughter was a bad idea. I felt like she was relying on things she learned from my mom's session instead of using her psychic instinct. Valerie is a lovely person who truly seems to care about her clients. From my mom's experience I would think she does have some abilities. However I can only review based on mine, and I was not blown away, or completely convinced for that matter. Patrons of the establishment and staff have interacted with Valerie with amazing results. The accuracy has been uncanny. I was skeptical years ago and there are people in that business who are frauds but I can reassure you Valerie is as sincere as your most trusted friend..family or business individual. She does more complimentary "readings" than a lot of people deserve. My reading on the other hand was defintely below expectations - so be prepared just in case. The one hour in-person reading will set you back $150. My reading lasted about 10 minutes. But to help you, understand, why Valerie is soo, respected, here is my real experience. Well my story is short, and to the point. About 27 years ago, my finance', and I got into a unplanned heated and untimely argument. She threw her engagement ring at me and it was lost. Thereafter, we looked all over for it. Sometime later, she somehow came across Val's name, and went to visit her in Philadelphia. She came home told me part of her experience with Val and showed me a piece of paper. On that paper, Valerie, described via a rough sketch the ring being nearby a step in our house, or something like a step, and next to that step something was hanging down almost directly over the ring. Well, my finance's said, we have no steps for our house was built on a slab, (having no basement or other sort of steps going down in or outside of our home). I agreed, but being that I am naturally, a problem solver, I realized, that we did have a step. The step was the carpet in our house, I said to myself , it has to be (the carpet could be interpreted as an step, roughly 3/4 of an inch high off of the concrete slab), and the thing (being a line) that Valerie drew next to the step as something hanging above and almost directly over the ring, was indeed, a electrical wire, leading down inside the wall to an 110 vac electrical outlet. Shortly, thereafter, and faith in her vision, I ran my fingers, between the base boards, and edge of the carpet of our hallway leading to our bedroom area of the home. You know what I am going to state next., yes I did find the engagement ring, wedged in between the carpet (the step), the wall and the baseboard and directly below an electrical outlet (where the hanging thing (a wire it was), the line on Val's drawing that was depicted). One last short story. You would guess that if my finance' threw that ring at me, we would had probably broke off the marriage. Well, we did not we got married. Than not long after we got divorced. I wonder why.?/ LOL. But, not so long after, I moved from NJ to Pa, far west Pa. About so many months after moving, I took advantage of adopting a kitten, (who coincidently just passed away, like Valerie's best friend (I think Wolf she called her dog). Well, my step-son came home from school and accidently left the sliding glass door opened. My new wife and I arrived home from work later that day (late evening) and noticed our kitten was no where to be found. ***(no my divorce from my first wife had nothing to do with my new wife, besides did not meet her until sometime later). Well, we looked all over for CeCe, and could not find her. I gave it some serious thought and contacted Valerie. Surprisingly, Valerie answered the phone. She told me where CeCe was . She said she was not hiding in the house, but she was outside, under or in something (( (like I said above we looked all over, called for her, we went into the woods, looked all around. We lived in a very wooded area of PA, and in the mountains and hills. She could be anywhere, including in a belly of a fox or coyote or something)))). Val, than said, CeCe was closer than we thought, Valerie told me she was under something nearby our home and next to the house. Well, guess what, We found her under the low lying wood cedar deck behind our house. She came out, for us, right after, Valerie said that. Wow. Well, that was the last time I spoke to Valerie. I have been tempted to call her for other help, believe me I needed her help and knowledge over the years since than. Its rough and cold in this world. But to let you know, Valerie, for that bit of information did not charge me a cent. But she brought a family back together. Valerie if you ever read this, it is me Troy. I miss you. Its been years. I spoke to valerie recently. While it was lovely to hear from her and sad to hear about her illnesses and family illnesses, she barely let me get my concerns out (over the phone) before cutting me off and speaking about herself and her own experiences, issues, family and illnesses which in no way pertained to me, my situation or my concerns. I asked what she thought of a specific situation and if she saw it turning out a certain way and she said felt it wouldn't workout one way versus another. I then asked if she saw something else to which she said I don't know, you're not here in front of me so I can't read you to know. It made me doubtful of the accuracy of her knowledge how could she "read" one area without even letting me provide all the details and give accurate information but when asked a very simple question, she couldn't answer due to my not being there. Furthermore how can you profess that you do accurate phone readings with an experience like this. I'd be more inclined to have believed her had she #1 not spent 85% of the time discussing herself and her family/pets, etc. #2 let me provide ALL the details of my situation before saying what she "feels" (I FEELL additional and complete information being necessary to provide an accurate reading/opinion) and #3 to tell me in the very next sentence that she couldn't provide any details or know anything about a situation related to the one I was trying to discuss because I wasn't actually there. Either you CAN read me by phone or you can't. But I'm guessing she couldn't seeing as, without full, accurate, complete, info, she passed judgement. I saw Valerie a few years ago for a reading (before I used yelp) however just stumbled upon her here and figured I would add my experience. I'll preface this by saying she seemed like a kind person who I possibly caught at a bad time, however based on some of the other reviews it may be a trend. I live in Roxborough, quite close to Valerie, and thought it was so cool when I read about her online. I've always been interested in psychic readings, never taking it too seriously and mostly for fun. I booked an appointment with her and paid over the telephone, which I wasn't completely comfortable doing however she insisted and asked "how could I trust her to give me a reading if I couldn't trust her to take my credit card info". The fee was hefty, but I was excited to meet with her based on her credentials. I arrived on the evening of my appointment to her home and followed the directions on her door (yes, anyone who has been there can vouch for the directions). I waited and waited. Nobody came. I rang again, knocked and eventually called on the phone. No answer. I actually waited close to 30 minutes, thinking I had just got scammed, when suddenly she came to the door looking completely disheveled and confused. I explained who I was and that I had an appointment, however she denied it and asked me to come in so she could look at her calendar. Honestly, I was very uncomfortable, I actually told her I would just go but she insisted. I spent another 30 minutes in her kitchen with her (and her super friendly cats) while she looked for her calendar and rambled on about her daughter and past cases she had been involved with. She ended up asking me to come back the following afternoon for a reading. My first impression from that evening was that she had had a couple drinks or possibly had taken some medication that made her quite loopy. I came back the following day and she gave me a mediocre reading. She was sweet, however spent a lot of time telling personal stories, at one point even demonstrating how she applies lip gloss and talking about that sprinkle weight loss powder that used to be a thing (along with another demonstration that involved hand-licking). It was all very weird. The reading itself was nothing special. She spoke about vague, typical things and scribbled notes for me. She told me she was giving me a little extra time because of the mixup the night prior, however I somewhat expected the extra time based on how much personal storytelling she did during my reading. Although my odd experience with Valerie provided me with a good laugh and an amusing story to share with my friends, I would probably not recommend her to others seeking a psychic reading. read more

Valerie is a sweet lady but I have to agree with many here and say that she has had a difficult life in losing people she loved and it has likely taken its toll. She did spend much time discussing her phone issues and personal struggles with loss. Of course I am empathetic and I cared to listen but it did take up much of my time for which I paid $150 for an hour! Her information was very vague in most cases and not terribly accurate. She picked up on a few things that definitely hit home and I have no doubt that she has psychic ability, but I also think she is very lonely and distracted. I would easily sit and have tea with her but as a psychic, I would not recommend her unless this is something she can work through. I will tell you that I took out my notes from 5 years ago and it all made sense now. Highly disappointed in this reading. I spent $150 for what was supposed to be an hour, not 30 minutes, not 40, an hour. She talked about herself more then she spoke about me. Very sweet lady but I just don't buy her being as good as some may say. Maybe she couldn't "read" me well, who knows. She is older so that might have a little bit to do with it. She didn't tell me anything informative. My Father and boyfriend died within 3 months of each other and all she could tell me was that they both love me and will always be with me.
