Tex Best is a very nice travel stop. They have fuel, hot…read morefood, cold drinks, coffee, and other convenience store items. There is even deer corn for hunters. They have fuel for both cars and 18 wheelers. I was hungry, so I ordered two tacos for $8 and some change. They were pretty good. They also have fried chicken, fried "burritos", chimichangas, hamburgers, pizza and more. The soda fountain includes several flavors of "aguas frescas" but are artificially flavored, the iced tea is fresh brewed. Bathrooms are clean and nice. The fuel prices are about 20 cents higher than in town. At least today. Overall, it's a nice place to stop for good food choices and road trip supplies.

The manager, Christy, was off-duty, but drove over with a gallon of gas to save me. She not only rescued me, but she actually put the gas in my truck and guided me back to the gas station. She refused to let me pay her anything. She was a true angel.

La Blanca is a tiny community east of Edinburg and north of Donna, TX. This is now the best gas station, convenience store, travel center and truck stop on 107 in between I-69C and I-69E. Tex Best has clean bathrooms which are styled like the famous ones where the mascot is a beaver, but less numerous. Still, plenty, and well designed for privacy. Tex Best has many food options, both hot and cold, at competitive prices. I tried their breakfast tacos, and they're pretty good. They also have all the pre-packaged commercial snacks, chips, sweets, etc. I was there between breakfast and lunchtime, so I saw items from both breakfast and lunch menus. The carne guiadas looked really good. I like their coffee machine that grinds the beans of your choice just prior to brewing. Of course they have all the fountain drinks, bottled drinks, ice, and the rest. Thy also have some souvenirs and knick knacks for sale. There are gas pumps for cars in front and diesel pumps for 18 wheelers in the back. The amount of paved parking is huge. I like Tex Best and am glad this one finally opened. I recommend it.

I figured why not, and told her yes. I looked at the digital display to see what the total was and noticed $3+ for Pringles and $2+ for the coke with a $1 discount for the combo special. I asked her why the discount was only $1 (since this equates to a $2+ Pringles can), and she repeated herself ... 3 times. I get it, it's friggin $2 and I could have just purchased this and been done with it (absorbing the $2), but principle outweighed my need for 125 total grams of carbs. I remained respectful, as did she. I'm just speculating, but I think this combo is actually "buy a Coke Zero and get a Pringles can for $1 off" instead of "buy Coke Zero and get a Pringles can for $1." I'll write it off as an honest mistake; the cashier looked hardworking and I don't think I was being purposefully ripped off for all of $2....but one could figure that those $2 can pile up if other people are not as careful with their math.

It is beautifully landscaped, clean, and well maintained. The location and road design could make access from the road difficult if you're going northbound on Westgate. Traffic sometimes builds up in peak hours. I can only imagine if there was a game at the stadium! Access going southbound is very easy. This Murphy USA had a full, walk-in convenience store with snacks of al the usuall kinds, some pre-packaged fresh food, both hot and cold drinks, water, small essentials, and, of course Lotto tickets (voluntary taxes which have not reduced property taxes nor seemed to improve schools, but that is another matter). There is plenty of parking, quite a few fuel pumps , sales of ice, trade-in 5 gallon propane tanks, etc. I did not notice a place to fill tires with air, but I did not look specifically. The young lady at the counter was friendly and efficient. Of course, Murphy USA always has the best gas prices. This place checks all the boxes for a gas station and convenience store. I'll be back.
