Most importantly, to me, the employees are always friendly and helpful. Management has more than once gone out of their way to accommodate me with some special requests, and even new employees have greeted me with a smile and friendly banter. If you can't find something you're looking for, don't be afraid to ask - some cold items, for example, are behind cooler doors, and one of the employees will be happy to help you look. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, this is the place! ExpressMart Palmyra offers a dozen different flavors/strengths of coffee, hot chocolate, flavored "steamers," and a fully stocked bar of fixin's for your caffeine fix including flavored creamers and sweeteners of every variety. While you're finding the perfect mix, you can catch up with the day's news on a shiny flat-screen TV mounted just behind the coffee bar. The inside of the store is small, and thus slightly cramped, but the shelves are neat and well-stocked. As with most convenience stores, you won't find many choices of any one given item, but you will be impressed with the variety of items available - from kitchen staples to condiments to health and beauty to automotive - if you need it, you may well find it here! (The only thing I've noticed missing is a frozen-food section, but I suspect a full-size freezer was sacrificed by necessity to limited floor-space.) Another little gem you may discover is the reduced bread/snack area just inside the front door - I've come to count on the $1 day-old bread! The pump area is easily accessible, and there is ample parking for convenience store customers on both sides of the building, as well as behind it. I've had occasion to stop at all the gas stations in Palmyra at some point in the recent past, and for overall service and bang for your buck - this one takes first prize in my book!

This used to be a regular stop for me, as it's conveniently located on a route I travel all too…read moreoften. However, for two main reasons I now avoid stopping here altogether. First, since the renovations to the Route 350/Route 31 corner over a year ago, the parking lot and pump area has become virtually untenable. The parking area is covered with large and unavoidable pot holes - some of which have recently been carelessly "patched" - and you have to weave through a narrow entrance-way to reach the pumps from the backside or risk hitting the sidewalk/curb which prevents decent access from the front. Second, and more importantly, the friendly and helpful employees I once encountered have moved to other stores and have been replaced by grouchy folks who seem inconvenienced by having to do even the simplest facets of their jobs. If I'd only noticed this once, I wouldn't mention it, but I've been in to this location five or six times in the past six months and haven't once gotten a smile or a cordial greeting. I'm sure "friendly and helpful" isn't a gas station requirement, but when there's lots of gas stations in the area - why choose one that isn't? If you're on "E" and your engine's started chugging, this station is a viable option. Otherwise, keep driving to the Express Mart in Palmyra or the Prime Convenience station in Macedon.
