I called and arranged a pickup for a short trip, probably $10-$20 ride, and the driver told me she was on the way to get me, then way after the estimated time of arrival, I called several times to see what's up and got no answer. Had a friend call (from a different phone so she didn't recognize the #) to act like he needed a taxi from the same place and she said she was on her way to the Atlanta airport and wouldn't be available for couple hours and no, sorry there were no other drivers that night. WHAT? Gee thanks. Not fun to be stood up or left waiting for a ride that's never gonna show!! I think this business is misclassified. It's more of a shuttle service than a taxi. If you just need a ride around town, you'd be better off calling one of the other taxi companies.

Upon arriving at my son's workplace, his grandmother sent the payment ($10.00) via Zelle to the driver's confirmed number--verified three times before the transaction was made. Although the payment was sent and a screenshot confirming the successful transaction was shown to the driver, he became aggressive when the funds did not appear instantly in his account. The driver began yelling at my son, demanding payment, despite having been shown proof. He then exited the vehicle and physically pushed my son. When my son tried to defend himself, the driver quickly got back into his car and drove away. The police were immediately notified, and charges have been filed. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. No one--especially a minor--should be subjected to such aggression. I hope this review serves as a warning to others. The majority of the drivers are very nice and all of them have been great/safe drivers. I've been using Groome for at least 6 years. The only thing that bugs me is their cancellation policy. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, they don't refund you or give you a credit if that cancellation is less than 24 hrs before your scheduled van time. That's crazy! Especially with the airline industry having to cancel flights so much lately. I wish Groome would provide a credit for a later van time. You can add yourself to the list at the shuttle pick up instead of booking online to avoid the possibility of a cancel/delay but then you're risking it if there's no seats available. Overall, I love the convenience of Groome and all the trips they've saved my parents/friends from having to drive.

My legs were numb after being smashed into the back of seat in front of me for the entire 90 minute drive and my partner (who is skinny but very tall) hardly fit in his seat and his legs didn't fit in between the seats and ended up with a bruise on his legs from having to sit on the seatbelt buckle the whole trip. This is deceptive of the owner to say that she would make sure they would be there and the cab still did not arrive until after 8. My business that I help run, was not able to begin effectively because I depended on a service that did not deliver what they say. I was foolish to believe words with no true action behind it. It is an issue that needs to be handled effectively by the management and owner. The driver said this has been happening for years. Then it is time for some change. Just remember words without true honorable action is just manipulation. She has responded to my messages and review. Instead of trying ti right the wrong and correct the inconsistencies, she renounced the 7 free rides and told me not to use her services any longer.
