Bill, the owner came out in person to replace a broken lock on our patio door. He had to order the…read morelock from the manufacturer, obtained it and then had to extensively modify the position of the lock to fit the new one in the door. You cannot tell that there was ever any work done on the door, that's how good it looks. And, the new lock functions perfectly. This is on a 20 year old door that May Awning installed when they built our patio room. I am totally satisfied with this company and would recommend them to anyone wanting to build a patio room. I have an older Sunsetter Awning and needed the fabric replaced on it. It's approximately 14' x 9'. He asked me several questions about it. I told Steve that I needed replacement fabric installed, and would be happy to get a price on the fabric itself from him, as well as the installation. He told me that it's really not that hard to change myself. He suggested I call Sunsetter and order it... then just get somebody to help me install it. Steve said "I just can't really make any money doing that." Honestly I was a little surprised by the response. I had even asked him about potentially purchasing a new awning in my original voicemail. Steve was polite, but I just got the impression he was not interested. Just a suggestion though... If I was interested in doing it myself, I would not have called. In my own business, if someone calls and it's not something that we can handle, we at least try to refer them to a local company that can help them. Also, small customers that aren't spending as much money initially, often times worked into loyal customers who spend more money down the road.

The Carefree original was poor quality. We will definitely be ordering from Tough Top when we catch up a little bit. Our shade awning has a small tear in it and will need replacement before long. BTW, we received it in less than a week from order date during the Holidays!!
