Mise en Place is operated by the students in the Chef Training program. Went the first time this school year and it exceeded my expectations. Last year had some bad service and not so great food. Decided to try again with a new student year. Sure glad I did! Ordered the salmon meal, $11. Includes a homemade roll, fresh vegetable, rice (I got double veg instead), iced tea, and a chocolate torte for dessert. Salmon had a maple whiskey sauce and it was grilled on a cedar plank - perfectly done.. I could eat it every day, enjoyed it that much. The massive Corned beef Reuben sandwich $8 was made with house cooked corned beef that was not fatty at all. They use a swirl rye bread and don't skimp on kraut or cheese. It came with a huge 1/2 dill pickle and potato salad. Also ordered the white truffle mac n cheese $11 topped with roasted winter vegetables which came with a roll, drink and dessert. Desserts are always a stand out here. Today was an apple struesel ala mode and a rich chocolate raspberry torte. Always save room for dessert - don't miss them! Weekly menu includes soups, sandwiches, salads, entrees and fantastic desserts. Chef O, the instructor for the program, previously worked at the Pomeroy House and you will see some of their recipes included in the menu rotation. For instance, the Pomeroy Salad is a staple. So coming here is a no brainer - get a gourmet meal at a Denny's price :) Notes: The restaurant is operated and staffed with students. Sometimes it can be a bit of a wait to get your meal. Today I got a REALLY bad cut from a newbie (see photos)....Both hilarious and disturbing. And I can't believe the guy who was helping the newbie let me leave with my hair looking like I just left my redneck trailer. I had to use the hair trimmers to cut it all off. Could have given myself a military cut and saved the time and money.

I went in with a blank slate, having a very basic understanding of PMP, trying to read the PMP book (which I would not recommend). But my lack of studying did not matter. Joseph, the teacher, was friendly, witty, and very smart and educated in PMP. He took a nervous, stressful class and made it a fun, very informative class; I was actually a little sad we were all parting ways at the end of the week. The important question- Did I pass... yes I did. I took the exam the week Afterward and while it was still stressful and very hard, I don't think I could have done it without PMTI. I would highly recommend this organization if you want to do an intensive course for PMP.

The final day was a full length practice exam, followed by a review of our results on the final practice exam. I thought that the practice exams were helpful to find out which areas I needed to focus on. I took the PMP exam 2 weeks after the class and passed.

Mary Ellen asked me what kind of massage I wanted and I literally put myself in her hands to decide. She chose a chi massage. Within minutes, everything inside me changed. I had visions. I gained clarity. I felt peaceful, yet energized. Creative ideas flowed in my dreams and work for weeks. Everything seemed easier, somehow. It was like a breakthrough after years of serious therapy, but without uttering a word or picking at old emotional wounds. So, of course, I went back. "be in the tao" is in The Gateway office building in Brecksville. The little corner space on the second floor "feels" good. There's a small fountain, Origami cranes floating over the massage table, and I like the music with gongs, chimes & birdsong. Her table is nicely padded and comfortably cozy warm. This time, I wanted to explore the belly massage. It's a detox massage. Who doesn't need to do a little seasonal cleanse. I know its effects are different for everyone. For me, it was like psychedelics without drugs, time-travel sans space suit, and more visions. Let's just say I'll update the post if any of them manifests, and leave it at that. The point is, Mary Ellen dispenses more than muscle manipulation. Ask about the three-years comatose client who, after Mary Ellen's work, is now showing responsiveness to stimulus, for example. If you're experiencing pain and stiffness in your muscles or your mind, consider putting yourself in Mary Ellen's hands.

I started going to Mary Ellen for some different Chi Kung classes. They taught me SO much!!! I felt…read moreso much better after learning how to breathe properly, stretch and meditate. I was having issues getting pregnant, got some belly work done and ended up pregnant a few months later. Might be related, might not be ;) I like to think it helped! While pregnant I took more classes with her and that's where I really learned how to control my breathing, which helped more than any lamaze class did! As for her massages. The Best! THE most comfortable massage bed on earth. She makes the room so serene and you just feel so peaceful during the massage. I felt personal breakthroughs while on her table. I highly suggest seeing Mary Ellen.
