I came here yesterday as a walk-in because I needed an Urgent Care facility. I read Yelp reviews prior, and was hesitant to even go in since reviews warned about ridiculously long wait times. I called prior to going in and spoke to Aphrodite, who was very helpful and told me that if I got there within a half hour, I would probably have about a 30 minute wait. So calling ahead may be a good bet to see just how much the wait would be for a walk-in. Upon arriving, I was given all paperwork quickly, signed in using the screen on the wall, and true to prediction, I was in a room within 30-45 minutes, which is better turnaround than I've had with an appointment at certain places. The waiting room is also stocked with magazines (and not with just medical pamphlets/medically themed magazines), which I always find helpful for passing the time. The nurse who saw me was lovely and extremely helpful, the doctor (or NP?) was in shortly thereafter, and my prescription was dialed in immediately to my pharmacy. While it was just a first experience, it was a good one, especially since Urgent Care can be so difficult to know what to expect. It may not always be this way, considering I came at 2 PM on a Thursday, but it was still a positive experience. read more

After waiting weeks for an appointment where they do walk-ins they had me wait one hour in the empty and silent waiting room and then 30 minutes in the exam room only to have the doctor come in listen to my breathing and stare at the laptop. Since my appointment they have sent me 5 emails, 11 text messages and 1 letter in the mail. To clarify that's what they sent me AFTER my appointment because they sent me more before the appointment but I deleted those messages and emails. They are out of their minds that is an harassing amount of communication I find it to be so aggressive egregious and disgusting I will never return and I will write a review everywhere I can and also complain to my insurance company. One thing to add is that not all providers are responsive on the portal. They say that you should get a response in 48 hours but one of the doctors in particular far exceed this. Additionally, the responses are not comprehensive and indicative of poor attention to detail and not seeing the patient as an individual. This is really unfortunate especially if someone's health is in their hands. read more

VMG in Montvale is only an urgent care facility. These type medical clinics are not allowed to do anything more than prescribe antibiotics and issue refills ONLY for the meds you're already taking but NOT if you need a refill for a CS. Of course, they don't want the public to know it. The doctors could not treat me but they sure wanted to charge $30 which my insurance company didn't pay them because my medical insurer explained to me that VMG in Montvale didn't provide any services to me and no service was rendered. VMG even had the nerve to send me a bill for $30 which I refused to pay. You have to find a private physician and schedule an appointment with a private practice physician and NOT a Nurse Practitioner or a PA because they too are not allowed to treat patients the way a real doctor can and they too don't want the public to know that but stay away from these type places. read more

Came in for an annual check up. I had seen Dr. Figueroa at the Waldwick office when this location in Montvale was closed for renovation. After seeing both, this office was brighter, newer & very clean. In a great area, too. After a short wait, I was taken to an exam room. Danuta did the preliminaries. Not long after that, Dr. Figueroa came in. Covered all the bases for my age group. Gave me tips on a healthy diet, the needed referrals, and set up a blood panel. He answered all my questions and was patient, attentive and friendly. A small wait later and my blood was drawn in office. She did a great job. There's no bruise as is my usual. It was a little over an hour total and a pleasant experience. read more

Turns out- X-ray was taken incompletely and incorrectly leading to misdiagnosis. I have since had to have surgery after having to go to specialist and their X-rays showing the presence of the exact thing that was suspected. So rude and incompetent- very disappointing! read more

Really hated the impersonal front desk. They were busy gossiping and handled me like catle throughout the process. When I was signing some paperwork, I had to ask them if I was done after seeing them go back to their gossiping. Turns out I was. I thought that was incredibly rude given I was standing there feeling quite noxious with a 99+ fever. The doctor and the nurse seemed nice and competent enough tho. Added) it's been an hour+. since I walked in. There were 3 other people when I came in. Not busy here at all. What's up? BTW, I had an appointment and waited total of hour and a half by the time I saw the doc. UPDATED: Great. So Valley hospital saw this review and responded only to request another email be sent. The doctors here are great but the experiences I've had interacting with the chubby woman working the front desk and ultrasound staff have been disappointing. Very rude people work here. I'm trying to switch to another office. That's how turned off I am by the customer service here. So done. read more

Every time I have gone to this office, I have never received quality or competent care. This was definitely the last straw for me. The doctors themselves have weak qualifications and are typically very incompetent. Today, I needed a doctor signature for a tuberculosis form stating that I never traveled to a list of countries. The front desk person required that I schedule an appointment to meet with a doctor even though no medical screening or testing was required. I would sincerely recommend that anyone stay away from his entire organization. If anyone needs an example as to why medicine needs reform in this country, look no further. The billing department is absolutely catastrophic, The office tries to pull you in for as many visits as possible to rack up co-pays, the wait times are horrendous and getting appointments is hard because of over scheduling. I think the doctors are great but the management and the business practices here prevent you from experience here great professionals and their level of service. Steer clear. read more

I've been going to Valley medical group for 10 years. The problem I have is each Doctor acts like they have no idea who you are each time you visit! They have an entire network on their computer of information on you, they have a group of specialists who also contribute to the information! yet, every single time I go, I have to fill out the exact same paperwork and every Doctor wants you to get a physical before they do anything for you! Even if one of their other Doctors within the Valley group, have seen you within months! Then poof, that last Doctor who helped you, is no longer there when you revisit! It frankly sucks! And if it were not for the nurses who know you by your voice, you'd be a stranger! This is no place for a patient looking for a family practice! read more

Reception staff is on the rude side. I went here for several years. My doctor was nice enough but somewhat difficult to get a convenient appointment. Once when my doctor wasn't in, I was seen by a different practicioner who made it clear he couldn't have been less enthusiastic about treating another patient. Nursing staff was not bad, and the facilities are clean with ample off-street parking. But the ladies at the front desk made me decide to switch doctors. Had a 3:30 appointment with Dr Francis Anerosis meeting for the first time. I arrived as requested at 3:15 and was informed. That she was running late. A while later her 4:00 appt arrived and was also told of the delay. She informed receptionist that she could not wait long, Another patient arrived after that. I was finally brought into a room and my vitals taken by the nurse. She excused herself to supposedly tell the next patient of the delay but obviously put her in another exam room. She was seen by the doctor before me since I heard her leaving. I also believe she saw the next patient before me as I waited almost 2 hours by then. Finally met the doctor who did absolutely NOTHING for me. No exam at all and refused to write a referral for me which was the purpose of my visit. Bottom line I was in that office for 2 1/2 hours for nothing. Cant begin to tell you how many people were appalled by her practice. NEVER going back again. read more

Went with sever ear pain dr Lynn Corrigan decided ear drops and Tylenol were enough to treat the pain. I can't even open my jaw because it hurts so much. No oral antibiotics nothing but drops. Really? I asked her for stronger pain medication because I have been taking Tylenol and ibuprofen and they are not enough to get rid of the pain. I wish I had taken the extra time and just gone to the emergency room. If you are looking for a little compassion and relief for a day or two for antibiotics to kick in don't go to dr. Corrigan. I will not go back to that office. Valley Medical in Park Ridge is the place to go. I really wish she could feel the pain that I'm in for just five minutes. read more

This is the worst practice ever. I called for the doctor to refill a prescription that I have been taking for years but they said the doctor needed to see me in order to refill the prescription and that I was up for my physical anyway. The doctor treated the visit as a physical, gave me blood work as he normally does and even told him I was there for my physical. Turns out I got a bill for $121 because he did not bill the visit as a physical. I called to explain the situation and they said there is nothing they can do but I was not due for a physical yet. Now I have to pay for a prescription that I have been taking for years. What a hoax! read more

My husband visited Valley health medical group about a month ago. He had a sore on his foot that wasnt healing. He was in pain so he decided to go to urgent care instead of waiting for an appointment with his regular doctor. The doctor came in, looked at his foot, put an antibiotic cream on a cotton ball and administered it to the cut. He was with him for no more than 10 minutes. We come to find out that they charged out insurance company SIX HUNDRED dollars for that visit. Yes, you read right. 600 dollars. Because we still had a big deductible, we are in the hole for 450 dollars for a 10 minute visit and a band aid. To say I am incensed is an understatement. Where they get off charging these kind of fees is truly beyond my understanding. It was a cut, not brain surgery. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this place. We learned the hard way. read more

What a terrific experience! My 15 year old has been battered by viruses all year and, yes, finally got the flu. On top of that his ear was killing him. Dr Corrigan was so caring & attentive, explaining everything that was going on. She also took time to explain how we could avoid catching the flu as well. He's made a full recovery and none of us got hit. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Stakiewicz and am pretty happy with her; however, the staff at the facility is terrible. They are absolutely rude, rude and some more rude. Aphrodite is the worst receptionist I have ever dealt with in my entire life. She lacks phone conversation skills, listening thouroughly skills, and apparently writting down information. She interrupts before hearing out all the information. She has failed to notify doctors of calls, failed to note appointments, failed at providing correct information to both patient and doctors. I am very much in the process of switching doctors just because of the office staff at the Montvale, NJ locations. read more

I give it a 2 only because I like the doctors. But the wait is awful. Doesn't matter what time u come it is a minimum 45 min wait and another 39 in the room. Walk ins are supposed to be welcome but that wait is 2-3 hours. That is not welcoming. I'm looking for a new doctor. I find it rude to make people wait that long. I don't feel valued. read more

I called to make an appointment - for just a regular checkup. wanted to establish with one of the doctors there. I had been there a year or so before when I was sick. Thought they were OK.. the lady who answered the phone asked if I had every been there before. I said yes, quite a while ago. She looked up my record, I guess, and said I hadn't been there in almost 3 years... and the doctor I requested was not taking new patients. - well, OK. She didn't offer to schedule with another doctor there. She was very, very rude, I thought. Now I would not go there anyway. What a way to treat someone! This place may become our primary care place in addition to urgent Care. My husband was feeling ill over labor day weekend and our giant primary practice had all offices closed until Tuesday. I couldn't believe it. We called at 3pm on Saturday and he had a throat culture, urine test and chest x-ray done by 430pm. Doctor was thorough and they caught early stages of walking pneumonia. They followed up after initial x-ray was reviewed by radiologist. Very pleased. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Stankiewicz. I went there on September 7th with a possible finger fracture. After taking 3 X-Rays she said finger was not broken. After 3 day (on September 11th) I went back and saw Dr. Ara Ajemian (Practice Manager) because of the pain. He dismissed me saying that it was just a bruise. After a week (my finger still very swollen and still in pain) I made an appointment with a hand specialist. He splint my finger because for 3 weeks my finger was effectively broken. I also try to call several time to try to talk to Dr. Stankiewicz but I was only successful in talking with the x-ray tech. After several calls talking to nurses I spoke with Dr. Ajemian and he told me that his conscious is in peace. Please stay away from this place even if is linked with Valley Hospital obviously the level of care is not. read more

My family and I have been patients for years and have used the facility on a by appointment basis. Today, I came in with my daughter as a walk in patient. I would strongly discouraged anyone without a couple of hours to spare to "walk in". We were the only walk in patient in the office and it was an hour before seeing a nurse followed by another hour to see Dr. Stan. who was with her scheduled patients. I have to wonder about the efficiency of the doctor if they can't manage 10 minutes to see a walk in patient?Facility is pristine with easy access to parking but would never consider "walking in again." read more

Had two great experiences with Dr. Corrigan! Most recently, almost no wait on a Saturday. Dr. Corrigan was very friendly in her demeanor and very thorough in her exam. Got an x-ray on the spot. For the last several years, I have used Valley Medical Health Group, as it is located conveniently within just miles from my home. Today is the first day that I am extremely disappointed by the wait times. While I did not have an apt due to their day being full already, I asked if there would be a best time to come, and understandbly, was told it just depends on how the day goes. Upon arrival, I sign in, wait about 30 minutes before I'm asked about any of my medical information or for a co-pay. 30 minutes, fine. Then about 15 minutes later, I get called in to the room with the nurse, who takes my vitals and then asks what's wrong. She left a few minutes later saying "I'd get comfortable, it's gonna be a while before he can see you."... Fine, I have no actual apt, I'm just a walk-in. But then the wait exceeds an hour, and still no MD. Instead, I see about 3x as many nurses than actually needed, sitting around gossiping in the room next to my room. My suggestion, since this is where SICK people come to determine what's wrong with them, and feel better, is to hire more physicians and less nurses, who are of no use. Unacceptable wait time, especially considering this is when people just want to get home and rest, not sit in the waiting room for hours on end to simply be seen for 2 minutes. read more

Showed up with a case of the flu (I don't have a primary care physician at the moment). It was late but I was seen quickly. They phoned in a prescription for Tamiflu to CVS and I went on my way to collect my meds. Unfortunately, CVS was out as were all the other CVS in the area. I called the office at 7:58 (they close at 8pm). Not only did they answer, but Ingrid took the time to call around several different pharmacies to find one that had Tamiflu in stock. That was going above and beyond the call of duty. read more

A good place to go when you feel sick. The waiting time during the day is not too bad. During flu season though, if you plan on coming here clear your day. The staff are pleasant, "at least in my exeperience," and most of the doctors are professional and courteous. They also have a k-cup machine in the waiting room if you want coffee or tea. read more
